Or, they pull a Vanilla Ice and use the same song, but claim it has subtle differences.

Instead of using gauntlets and stuff to get more people on the show, how about a good old-fashioned battle royal? Like, no entrances. Just a stream of wrestlers coming down the aisle, and once they're all in the ring, bell. No under the bottom rope to the floor shit so two people can run through spots. Just a bunch of people all around the ring trying to throw others out. Final three is two heels and a face. One of the heels double-crosses the other, and the babyface gets the opening to win. Man, I'd eat that shit up.

All that talk of tv edits reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Svr6Zl2QgX8

I love The Shield and The Wire. Not going to say one is better than the other. But, man, The Wire deserves the praise it gets.

Brody King long-term Mexico excursion, please. Want to see him work like most of the CMLL roster. -
BUT SHE'S BEING SEXY!!! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

I think that looks great, but it's also all extremely My Shit, so take that as you will. Between this and Tracks II out next week, I'm having a Bruce summer, y'all.

Okada wrestling a match in Arena Mexico on an American wrestling promotion's weekly tv show is one of those things that would blow the mind of a 2017 wrestling fan. -
Talk about whatever you want here. I don't think there are hard, fast rules. I just thought since AEW had it's own news thread, maybe WWE could too, so it wouldn't be most of what was getting posted in here.
-
Yeah, sorry about that. Selfishly, I was just hoping to have a spot to talk general wrestling, but still be able to avoid WWE talk. This thread had kinda become a catch-all for WWE news, etc. with a sprinkling of other wrestling talk. Anyway, weirdly, I was just thinking earlier today that Hulk had kind of been quiet lately after being everywhere with his RNC stuff, his beer, his Christian scam, and all that in the last year or so.

I just read two books on Springsteen*, both concentrating on the era depicted in that movie and I'm re-watching The Bear to prep for the new season, so that movie is SO my thing right now. *Warren Zane's Deliver Me From Nowhere [Nebraska] and Steven Hyden's There Was Nothing You Could Do [Born in the USA]. Both are excellent.

I have actually seen Mortos without his mask, no joke. He is a handsome dude.

Don't give HHH any ideas.

Got to do some fun stories with him. He and I won a regional Emmy together a few years ago on a story I'm really proud of. I was at the 2013 FInal Four with Rick and saw Victor Oladipo geek out on seeing Rick like he was seeing a big time celebrity.

Man, I am flat out HOOKED on the Center Stage Chronicles. Bringing back so many memories.

I'm thinking we get Bucks vs. Swerve/Osprey after last night. Makes sense since they've already got three huge singles matches on the show.

I'm only dead inside.

Selfishly, I just want to avoid as much WWE content as possible, but I want to keep up on the wider wrestling world. So, now when I go into the general monthly thread, I won't have to see their stuff. That thread seems to house some of the best random-ass (positive) stuff that this board offers, so don't want to avoid it.

Serious question... Any chance we could start having monthly threads in the WWE folder for general WWE news? This thread ends up catching a lot of WWE news, and it could probably have it's own place like AEW does.

Listen, I don't like to generalize based on arbitrary generations, but there are two things that I'm angry with millennials about: 1. The claim that Hocus Pocus is a good movie. 2. The claim that Sublime was a good band. Both patently false. Anyway, show looks fun. I got mixed up and thought the CMLL show was this week.

Quoting these because I'm in 1000% agreement. I really don't have much to add, but would like to draw extra attention to Asteroid City, which I also thought was absolutely amazing. The scene with Jason Schwartzman's character and Robbie is one of my favorite things Anderson has ever done.

If you told me this was a documentary about Busey fighting werewolves, I would believe you.
