Just Dave
Just curious, does anyone else read the "Jack Reacher" novels at all? They don't reinvent the wheel or anything, but I travel a lot, and they're great for in-flight reading. Good beach reading, and the endings are usually pretty satisfying. Liam
I have read pretty much all of them. Enjoyable, although I do feel the quality is dropping. Easy reading for times when I need something light.
Just Dave
Yeah, the latest one was pretty well crap. I'm looking forward to the new one, though.
Liam
I didn't read the most recent one, but I do find that recently they've felt a bit.....blah. Stuff like Tripwire and Killing Floor were really good, and really got me interested in the series.
J.T.
They are entertaining enough. I love mysteries so I find the Jack Reacher and Alex Cross novels a bit frustrating because those guys seem to pull the right conclusions out of their asses without too much deductive reasoning. Agatha Christie and Conan Doyle did the same thing on occasion. I guess the tradition of unreliable narration in detective novels is a long tradition.
