  1. Basically, yeah. Kelly/Maryse/Bellas were all friends... then the Total Divas thing happened and they fell out of all a sudden. Kelly/Maryse hated the Bellas after it (from what i gather). It's why Maryse is so mean and bitter towards Nikki these days, IMO. That quote about Nikki never having kids of her own was some cruel psychological shit. Even by wrestling standards.
  2. Next WWE Studios/SyFy film: Dean Ambrose vs Tarantula Hawks Who else can stop them?
  3. On both a personal and professional level, Maryse might have been the best thing that ever happened to Miz.
  4. In fairness to Dean, after reading about tarantula hawks I am scared too.
  5. Baron Corbin: "I know his big weakness. I can use this." *goes on ebay and orders hundreds of tarantula hawks*
  6. I like that Maryse didn't even bother with an American accent.
  7. I guess. But it's still hilarious. Not that I think much of the institution of marriage. But it probably shouldn't exist just to shore up WWE network subscriptions. And you just know Vince will insist on them getting married in an wrestling ring on live TV. Maybe with a run in from Dolph.
  8. Nikki spending years badgering Cena into marriage, him finally proposing in front of millions, then her turning around and saying: "Nah" and utterly humiliating him would actually establish her as the best female heel ever. She never truly forgave him for his OCDness, the "girlfriend contract" and bitching at her about the laundry basket. So she planned a clever Gone Girl-like revenge.
  9. Shane's willingness to take crazy bumps makes this worth watching.
  10. It is still crazy that Cena will, ultimately, end up proposing because of a WWE storyline. I know it's not the only reason he's doing it, of course. This isn't some Game of Thrones-deal where Cena's getting forced to marry a stranger by Vince. He's been with her for a while. There's love there, I assume. But the whole thing is, um, slightly odd? It's like what Meltzer said a month back on WOR: "But even if he wanted to back out, he can't now."
  11. Miz/Maryse vs. Cena/Nikki is so interesting because you can tell Cena and Miz are mostly being professional and good-natured about the whole thing. Eh, whatever. It's just a storyline. But you occasionally get glimpses of how much Maryse and Nikki do truly detest one another. Miz's parody of Cena was light-hearted. Oh, he's a robot and likes his laundry done well. Big deal. Maryse, meanwhile, is genuinely going for the jugular in this feud. She's pissed and petty as hell. She has to point out Nikki's desperation every chance she can. A feud that has become more about the girls than the guys, oddly enough.
  12. Tony was being genuine when he said he didn't want Tony B to suffer. I believe that. But, like, you say: There was a control and power issue there as well. He was furious at him and knew he had to pay. One of the show's weirdest murders in terms of motives.
  13. I don't think she ever really got just how bad things were. She thought it was mostly about short cuts or bribing some cops or getting things that fell off the back of a van. She genuinely believed Richie and Pussy went into the Witness Protection Plan when it was obvious to everyone they were murdered. Even the Feds rolled their eyes at her naivety. To quote from one critic: "Carmella turns a blind eye; Adriana is just blind." She was a bit of a fool, really. And she loved Christopher way too much.
  14. It's funny, you wonder: Was it over when Tony when he killed Ade? When he killed Tony B? When he killed Christopher? All tragic and sad deaths. But as Carmella's shrink pointed out before all that stuff happened: "The only way your husband can redeem himself is to turn himself into the police." But he was never going to do that.
  15. My dad died of a heart attack in front of me about three years ago. I can honestly tell you: That episode is stunningly accurate about how bizarre and surreal such a situation is. Like Buffy going out of her way to be nice to the ambulance people.
  16. Adriana's death on The Sopranos was genuinely said. She was the only innocent character in the whole thing. Even Meadow sold out by the end. ("Dad, the FBI only hate you because you are Italian-American!") Adriana was just too dumb and too innocent. It's horrifying when she realizes just what is about to happen. She's scrambling and terrified. And Tony's 1000-yard stare at the end suggested even he knew he'd crossed a line.
  17. On the bright side, AJ's hair continues to look amazing. How has he not been given a L'Oreal contract yet? Nicest hair I've seen on TV since Jennifer Aniston when she had "The Rachel."
  18. One of the few good things I'll say about TNA. (In the early days anyway.) When TNA made it clear the camera guys were sneaking in on the heels and their conversations backstage. They tip toe; they are quiet. They want scandal. Then Jeff Jarrett (after he has revealed his evil plans) gets annoyed when he suddenly spots them and kicks them out. It gives the viewer the necessary exposition. But makes it clear: No. The heels ain't OK being caught on camera discussing their evilness.
  19. I didn't like the Lost finale but Jack's death always sorta got to me. I think it was the way the dog was the only one left to comfort him in the end. Bauer flipping out when Terri died on 24 was also rather sad. He thought everyone was OK when he got back to CTU. Kim's fine, Palmer's alive, the bad guys have been stopped...but then he slowly realizes something is very, very wrong.
  20. Maryse came off as the Malibu Barbie version of Brian Pillman in that segment. Oddly, I mean that as a compliment.
  21. This Bray-Orton feud really does come off like a bad B horror movie at points. I expect Samara to show up soon.
  22. "John Cena is the most manipulative, selfish, plastic person I have ever met...and I live in LA!" A tremendous line, tho
  23. From what Vince has said: He objected at first. But he realized that if HHH truly wanted to be with her, HHH wouldn't have cared what Vince said. It was when HHH proved himself to him. "Yeah, well, we're doing it anyway." And he liked the guy all along so...
  24. I'm thinking about watching this. The trailer didn't thrill me. But people are saying nice things about it.
