How to Train Your Dragon - it's been a long time since I've seen the animated original and I remembered very little of the story so it was like seeing a new movie. The story is still good, the score still incredible but the transition to "live action" causes the movie to lose just a little something. The visuals aren't quite as spectacular and the people don't look real enough to be real, at least not all the time. And, quite frankly, it's just a story and setting that works better as a traditional animated movie. Still, it's entertaining and my wife (who hadn't seen the original but wanted to see this one) loved it. 7/10. Original is a 9.

He had a Cy Young year this season - 22-8. That's... not great. He's washed.
-
I hate it and I don't have any reason why.

C'mon, let's hear from the sanctimonious, hypocritical gasbag!

That was definitely hilarious. Edmonton lost their minds in that game.

I'm not sure but I think this is pretty good: Over his last 11 starts, Detroit's Tarik Skubal has 95K and 3BB, a 31.67 K/BB ratio. He's the only pitcher in the last 125 seasons to do that. He's averaging 11.3 K/9 and 15.00 K/BB for the season. He's had 13 starts this year and has had 0 walks in 8 of them.

Since it's been 20 minutes since he said or did anything stupid, Ozzie Guillen decided to say that "everyone knew" Ohtani was gambling and it got covered up. Odds that he survives the weekend still employed by all of his current employers? https://www.si.com/mlb/dodgers/news/former-manager-accuses-dodgers-shohei-ohtani-of-gambling-mlb-protecting-him

29000 passing yards - no way.

Yeah, I just read his statement and it's looking like he just legit waited to see if he could physically do it and decided he couldn't. The Lions at least have a guy they drafted that can play center (Tate Ratledge, though he was a guard in college). Big loss for the Lions and terrible timing but I can't really blame Frank. He's had some major injuries during his short career and he's likely to be forever impacted by them.
-
Interesting that he waited until after the draft, a la Barry.
-
"It's OK, Randy, we forgive you for faking a back injury and tanking half a season to force a trade".
-
Note: this includes the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, the usual futility record holders. They won 12 of their first 60. Then went 8-86 the rest of the way.

His attorney has released a statement that Zion previously reported her to the police for blackmail.

Mr. Holland's Opus is a movie I like more than it deserves. He's kind of a jerk, the storyline with girl is problematic, and so on. But it's also relatable. There are a lot of great teachers who short shrift their families in service of their students. And I like that we get a long span of his career. But it's really just an ok movie to be realistic. But, yeah, his big masterpiece sucked.
-
And he pitched 5-1/3 so definitely very unusual that he didn't get a K.
-
This sentence makes me cry a little bit.

Tarik Skubal threw his first career CG today - a 13K shutout. The final pitch was a 103mph fastball. Good lord.

Upcoming Video Game Releases (2025 & Beyond)

They added a bunch of Sierra titles, too, like Quest for Glory I, Dagger of Amon Ra, Conquests of the Longbow, Adventures of Willy Beamish, Space Quest 2 & 6, Policy Quest, etc. I feel like most of those will be annoying to play with a gamepad. -
Eh, Dallas/Edmonton was close most of the way. Edmonton led for 40 minutes and it was 4-3 with 4 minutes left to play.

95. But Indiana only trailed by 6.

Gotta blame the GM. Can't blame the superstar with 4 goals in his last 18 playoff games, including just 1 during the 7-game series you just lost. Or the other superstar with just 3 goals in his last 20 playoff games, also including just 1 in your 7-game series loss.
