  1. Shohei Ohtani hit his first Dodgers home run Wednesday night. The Dodgers proceeded to take that nice moment and crap all over it by threatening the fan who caught it and then Ohtani (apparently) lied about meeting the fan: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/shohei-ohtani-dodgers-integrity-in-question-after-battle-over-first-home-run-ball/ar-BB1l62KO
  2. Hailey Van Lith, fresh after getting hung out to dry against Caitlin Clark by Kim Mulkey, is entering the transfer portal.
  3. I honestly don't remember much details about the movie since it wasn't good enough to watch again and I haven't seen it in 30 years.
  4. Sandler was legitimately good in Rein Over Me. He's got the skill in there somewhere, he just rarely uses it.
  5. Shue is the only good part of Cocktail. The movie's concept and plot are just so stupid and ridiculous. But she's so hot and interesting that you can forget all that when she's around.
  6. I think the most interesting part for me was the $67m in annual TV revenue. That's a different story than the poverty Oakland ownership has tried to sell us for decades.
  7. There's no denying he had a good career. But... If you start naming a list of great guards, in order, you're gonna be way, way, way down the list before you get to Chauncey. There's room for you to be able to say, "yeah, that dude had a great career" without saying the guy was a HOFer. Chauncey is in that space for me. But, hey, good for him!
  8. 5 fights and 8 ejections 2 seconds into tonight's Rangers/Devils game.
  9. 2nd team all-NBA once, 3rd team twice. He's got a nice resume. I like the guy. I'm a Pistons fan. Of COURSE I like the guy. But we're really, really reaching when 15 & 5 while never - or even coming close to - leading in anything gets you in the Hall.
  10. Vince Carter and, for reasons I don't quite grasp, Chauncey Billups have been elected to the BBHOF.
  11. Reese getting hurt changed the game for sure. Before that, LSU was killing Iowa inside at both ends. Reese went from 5-7 before the ankle to 2-14 after. Still finished with 17 & 20. The first quarter last night was as good as it gets for basketball. Extremely fast pace, great shooting, great passing, blocked shots, the whole package. The game lived up to the hype.
  12. I thought it was more of a mixed big from her than a lot of others seem to think. Multiple lazy or terrible passes in the first half for turnovers and shot just 45% from the floor. But...... A whole lot of 3s and some (a lot of) amazing passes. Overall, I'd say she played an excellent game.
  13. 94, head high and behind. Gutless play. Yeah, the slide from Hoskins was dirty (and incorrectly ruled legal - you're not allowed to roll like he did) but you just can't throw a pitch like that.
  14. I once did the math and, you're right, he was. He grabbed a higher percentage of available rebounds than those guys.
  15. Threatening to sue over an article she hasn't even read. She is a garbage human being.
  16. To give you an idea of the quality of play in that game, the two teams combined for 188 rebounds. Wilt and the Warriors put up 147 points while shooting 37% from the floor. By contrast, the Spurs and Knicks combined for 96 rebounds.
  17. Yeah, he's not even near what he'll be. Good grief.
  18. I watched this last night based on your recommendation. I think you liked it more than I did. I liked it but definitely wouldn't say "incredible". It's a recycled plot done well that avoids at least a few of the tropes of the genre. I got a good chuckle out of the Affleck character working in constructing. "Aw, he kept the same job from Good Will Hunting". 7/10.
  19. I guess the message of his cell phone ad didn't get through.
  20. He turned 29 today. I don't understand giving him 10 years.
  21. Nah, it's just the kind of thing exclusively said by anti-semitic people.
  22. I think it's pretty much all plans. It's a nice little perk.
  23. If you're right when you challenge, your challenges should be unlimited.
  24. To add to your skepticism: That's from ESPN's article on the rule.
  25. Yeah, I don't like this rule change. And, like you said, I'm sure it'll be enforced in an "interesting" way.
