It was also cool seeing promotions like PWG, wXw, CZW and Revolution Pro being mentioned by name in the press release yesterday. That alone was unthinkable just a few years ago. I stll wonder though, if when Vince hears fans chanting "This is Wrestling" he takes it as an insult? As long as it's not "Better than Raw!" I would imagine that'd be fine. And holy cow, agreed on the press release. Crazy, crazy stuff all-around. And Craig, agreed on the test of strength. Gable/Jordan are so incredibly good and Gargano is fun to watch. I think poor Ciampa is getting overlooked when people look at the match. I'd much rather see him do his own thing as a PG version of the Sicilian Psychopath.

I was super hyped for that tag match and man did it deliver. The crowd gets a lot of shit, but they really helped in adding to the excitement with their chants. Lots of chants for Gable/Jordan and Gargano got some love. It was so weird hearing stuff usually heard in the indies/ROH being done in NXT (Example: "Wrestliiiiing! Yaaaaayy!!" ) Was big-time geeking out over this, especially when thinking about how only a couple years ago this wouldn't even come close to happening. Indy wrestlers doing NXT shots? Evolve/ICW/Progress/NJPW footage heavily used in promo videos? This is some crazy shit right now and it only helps to elevate everybody's profiles. WWE/NXT gains a lot for being seen as indy-friendly, and the companies gain a lot by being seen by those that watch. Unreal, man. Nia Jax had much better attire this week. Her opponent is really good and I hope they give her another shot, but maybe it was little too competitive for a monster squash match. The Aussie girl is nice looking but her gear reminded me of Alexa's look as a face. She also did some weird stuff like when she turtled up early in the match. It served no purpose and Emma had this WTF look on her face.

And Neville learned a valuable lesson: Never let a good cornbread just sit on your plate. I thought poor Bo was going to feel out of place at first when there was talk about previous experience. But if anything it was Joe who was since he didn't do FCW. It was such a cool conversation between the three and they were all very likeable.

2015 RING OF HONOR DISCUSSION THREAD

Considering they've been in ROH matches so much I expected them to sign. But that's a sweet deal to be with them and still NJPW/PWG. -

When did Hulk use that helmet? A quick Google search didn't pull anything up, but I imagine it's on one of the shows on the Network. -
It was a good episode, glad they explained what she saw there. It was weird with it being mostly hints of blue aside from the underground part and the ending. When fast forwarding commercials the bright colors would be jarring after seeing a segment with not much to it. At first I was thinking "How the fuck hasn't the phone battery not died out yet after all those hours" She did explain it saying Fitz did that but man I could sure go for a battery like that. Didn't expect a potential love triangle to happen though. It's one thing to explain it with him on the other planet. But man if he comes back things are going to get awkward.
-
Can't speak for him, but if all you have to do is that then why not make it that way in the first place? I was thinking it'd be similar to EA MMA, and it sounds like reviewers were expecting that as well.

I find it especially useful if I want to see how a wrestler looks like without committing to a full-on-match. Will also come in handy if I download a CAS and want to see how they look. And if that actually matters in Universe, then I could see doing that for a heated rivalry instead of doing their pre-set booking.

Looking at the list it's the first time I noticed Swann is from Baltimore so a big FUCK YEAH! for that. I like his recent work, less flippy and it led to better matches. Liked when he was hamming it up with his "All night long" entrance, am going to miss that about him. I'm glad Patrick got the call, especially since he was working MCW for a lot of his career. The only thing I didn't care for aside from his ego is that he no-showed an indy show due to this. The owner of the company put him on blast saying that he could have fulfilled his indy commitments before going but chose not to. That might not be a strike against him in the big picture, but it's always nice to not burn bridges. Still, I'm glad I met him at an MCW show and he was great to talk with so good for him.

Same here, it's pretty annoying. I bought it at Gamestop (it's still EB to me, damnit!) and everything went through saying it was installed. But I guess you need to go into their shop to redeem it as well. I feel like it's some weird karma for people like us who want to have it all at the start. That said, what a fucking fun game. There must have been another update as Lillian's announcing wasn't broken anymore. Showcase mode with Austin is tons of fun, and I'm cool with laying low for a couple minutes while they show cinematic footage of the match Gotta show those youngins how awesome Austin/Steamboat and it was a blast. But I sure hate the submission system, need to learn that more.

ALL-ENCOMPASSING T-SHIRT AND MERCHANDISE THREAD
NikoBaltimore replied to MORELOCK's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
That is quite a mix of items on there. Some awesome, some ehh, and some that are just odd. Take the Bad News Barret baby shirt. Unless it says the rest on the back, the front says "I'm afraid I've got some" That just seems odd to me. Though not as odd as the Sami Zayn wristbands. They're on "sale" for $10, yet original price is $8. I'm hoping that's a typo, not too many sales where you're paying more for an item. Still, I'm fighting the urge to get a couple of things, that's a helluva deal. -
OCTOBER 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION

Don't forget the money he got off of non-Hogan/nWo merch (Jericho's story about his action figure ringing up under Hogan's name) -
I thought it was caws.ws. Either way, didn't see much on there, though for day one that's to be expected. But I figure in a week or so there's going to be a lot to check out. And regarding that RKO video, as good as it is imagine DDP doing the Diamond Cutter instead. Him doing that then flashing the symbol would be tremendous, tremendous viewing. And it's damn near criminal to work with this game waiting for me. So much goodness to check out, so little time.

I'm really curious about the 2K16 Creation Studio app. It has potential to be great, just hoping they don't make it a complicated mess like last year. Wish they put it out now, but I guess they're waiting until the international release date. https://wwe.2k.com/news/wwe-2k16-creation-studio-announced-for-mobile-devices

OCTOBER 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION

Fixed that for ya. -
Got it at midnight and played two matches before going to bed, mainly just did squash matches for the sake of time. Balor looks amazing with his entrance, they really nailed it. Selfie stick color aside Breeze looks amazing as well. I like the slight change in gameplay where you can sit somebody up to do moves and you can do more with heavy ground strikes. Also really like Savage, he actually looks like him and didn't see anything weird with his moveset. Stardust looks pretty good as well. The graphical detail is much better this time around, down the little things like Stardust and Finn's tassels in their entrance gear. Curious how the women look since last year most of them looked horrendous.

I'm glad to read not only that El Hijo Del Ice Cream is still around, but that he did this. I remember seeing his team years ago and they were hilarious.

Checked his Twitter and would gladly follow him. Except he posts a ton about that Undateable show and I don't want that clogging up my timeline. But cool to see him get some love from the wrestlers, and he said WWE gave him tickets for HIAC. Dude's got a good thing going. -

Yep, he sure did. Months ago he also wanted Big E to hook him up with Bayley. Somebody in wrestling needs to do something with him, he's entertaining as anything and would be a great fit. -

Different topic, but if you're familiar with the show @Midnight on Comedy Central Ron Funches was dressed as Ric Flair (Halloween episode) He did one helluva job in his impressions, did some of Flair's famous lines including "Meeeaaaannn...Whoo..by God...Gene!" Really fun show, worth checking out. -
Not only was Breeze's debut awesome, but the crowd knew who he is. The dueling chants were in effect along with an NXT chant and I was overjoyed to see that. Fun tag match to end what was a fun show. And Miz with a bit of foreshadowing saying it'll be Pretty...awesome in his earlier promo. So if you didn't know Breeze was coming in that was a nice touch. Oh, and Kofi slayed me with the hopscotch leading into the Boom Drop.

OCTOBER 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION
NikoBaltimore replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Depends on the person but how can it be sad if you hide your wrestling fandom? If there's other common interests for people to talk about then it might not be needed to mention wrestling. In my case I did express my wrestling fandom in the past with mixed results. After the Benoit incident for the people I come across it wasn't worth bringing up. But overtime I just found it's easier to just express interests in other things that others like (video games, superhero stuff, etc.) and that works just fine. I will say though that it might be more acceptable now than it was even 5 years ago. New Day's references to memes and the like certainly help their case. Xavier's UpUpDownDown channel is starting to cross over into the video game industry, and it appears to be an organic crossover at that. Lucha Underground is cool and can draw people in with the wrestling plus cool shit they do. And NXT has the cool factor going on, it's a matter of time before people start to pay more attention to that. And if they don't care for the wrestling part, they just hype them on the stuff they reference and they might be more receptive to it. But again, depends on the person and how they work around it. -
Probably not. I think that's very low on their list of priorities. Last year for WM entrance ways that curved were replaced with your regular entrance way, don't see that changing. Considering I'm a fan of Ben's Bunkhouse Buck stories I hope somebody makes a good CAW of him. Everything else is right there for him to finally have Buck dominate WWE like he'd hope it would.

1. It's not even Halloween yet so I'm likely going to hold off on anything Black Friday until afterwards (even though it appears to be month-long anymore instead of one day). 2. Sweet jeebus that's a sweet deal. I'm a PS4 guy and am saving up for a house, but you can't go wrong with $300 for that.

Holy cow do I love Asuka. She's awesome in the ring, says a ton just with her facial expressions, and as a bonus is extremely good-looking which helps for marketability. If she's on a show, it's an absolute must-watch. Was happy to see Storm, interested to see what he's going to do in NXT. And I'm all in on Alexis as a challenger. Some would say her mannerisms are a bit much, but she's making for a great mean girl to counteract Bayley. Also dug Corbin/Rhyno, you know Corbin's only going to benefit from that. Oh, and I know there's a working agreement with Evolve, but holy fuck was it surreal seeing their footage for Apollo's video. Cool to see though. But what really hit like a ton of bricks is the crowd doing the "Beer! Money!" chant and realizing this isn't TNA. This could take some getting used to. I'm really hoping he's on TV again the same night as he's on Impact in that tournament of theirs. If Bram's any indication they pretty much have to still show it.
