  1. It seems FF's main strike against it was re-using the "Hulk vs. the army" scenes from Ang Lee's HULK That explosion looks horrible. Wouldn't it just hit the ground and not explode since the fuel isn't in that part of the tank? Then again I haven't brushed up on my tank diagrams. I don't plan on seeing this, but I thought Chronicle was decent and figured this movie would be at least watchable. If anything, Chronicle is the best live action Akira movie we are going to get. FF just looks like bleh.
  2. So PSN has a sale on games with season passes, and I was wondering if Sniper Elite 3 is good enough to put 20 bucks down on. Are any of the other games like Dying Light or Evolve worth it?
  3. Fitz awkwardly asked her to dinner and she accepted. While doing so, Fitz seemed to unlock the box containing the stone-not-stone. After Fitz left Simmons went to fix/lock it back up and the item went into liquid form and absorbed Simmons and went back to stone form. When it comes to Daisy's new team, I wonder if they will go with actual comic characters or make up their own. It would be interesting if they introduced Speedball this way. Frankly, there's no reason not to go with a few of the Secret Warriors. They're small enough that they'd never really need to be in a movie. Looking at the list (across all teams), the best options would be Rodriguez, Sledge, Downing and Wolfe. The magical members won't work before Doctor Strange is introduced and some are children of characters not introduced yet. I could also see them throwing some random Inhumans on the team like Lincoln and Alisha.

  5. I would like it better if the tattoos were more ludicrous, like kittens playing with string that was actually a lit fuse attached to a stick of dynamite. Also if on his head it was the word "insane" in crazy lettering with the "in" part scratched out, or go the opposite and have "sane" in perfect lettering with "in" scratched in before it. Give him all the tattoos you want, but they are all making fun of guys that get their body covered in "serious" tats. I don't get basing this Joker off of a non-continuity take on the character. I guess it's a long ways off and maybe it works out fine. I am in no position to judge yet.
  6. The whole movie is basically the Futurama episode "Anthology of Interest 2" from almost 15 years ago. It is actually based on this video from 4 years ago https://youtu.be/ou8vRWTSsJo
  7. Last weekend I went with some friends to a gaming convention and we played Small World, Guildhall, El Grande, Power Grid, Star Realms, Sheriff of Nottingham, Concordia and Letter of Marque. It was a pretty fun couple of days. I wanted to try Legendary: Marvel and Ginkopolis but didn't get to the signups in time. Concordia was the toughest game because you had no idea how good/bad you were doing until the end.
  8. This past week I watched John Wick, Kingsman and Nightcrawler. I really enjoyed all three. Gyllenhaal should have been up for an Oscar. Wick and Kingsman were both bloody good times. I also wanted to mention that I read 95 percent of The Three Investigators books while in elementary school. I would be down with a series based on those books. Pair them up with Encyclopedia Brown and I might not know what to do. I also saw Edge of Tomorrow a few weeks ago and thought it was really good. I wonder if Oblivion the year before caused people to not go and see it since they appeared similar and that one didn't get great reviews.
  9. I'm not sure I know what movie it is referencing, but I enjoyed the episode very much just for the simple device of According to Howerton, the episode was inspired by an episode of True Detective, hence Dennis' impression. Wonderful episode this week. Frank in the basement was amazing.
  10. There is a Flash Sale going on this weekend. Lots of indie games for cheap.
  11. Didn't that effect how the Salarians treated you? It has been a while since I played it. I do remember on my paragon run I let them live. The only bad thing I did on that run through the 3 games was kicking the guy through the window in 2. Too much fun. I did find it funny that more allies died on my paragon run than renegade.
  12. Great episode. Dennis continues to be the most disturbing and scary character on TV.
  13. Marvel is reportedly testing 4 women for Jessica Jones and 2 men for Luke Cage. Jones: Krysten Ritter, Alexandra Daddario, Teresa Palmer and Jessica De Gouw Cage: Lance Gross and Mike Colter Of those I would go with Daddario and Colter. In regards to AoS, I liked the last episode. They moved a lot of the story forward pretty quick, but didn't half-ass it. I do think the Whitehall/Skye's father/Skye's mother thing was a little muddled, but I'm sure it will be cleared up as the series moves on. It is too important of a storyline to be glossed over, especially if the Skye family are/were Kree/Inhumans.
  14. I'm guessing the hazing scenes by seniors in Dazed and Confused wouldn't be tolerated with all the stories about sports hazing in high school. Also, would Coach Bombay calling the Hall brothers and Germaine in The Mighty Ducks "Oreo Line" (a name they gave themselves) be ok?
  15. Who owns the rights to the Savage Lands? But yeah, probably Attilan. I liked the quick mention of Strucker by Ward and Skye mentioning Micro, meaning The Punisher may exist in the MCU.
  16. I preordered Unity for PS4. Won't be getting it until Thursday thanks to Amazon screwing me over on nonexistant payment issues. I would be interested in doing Coop missions with people on here. Looking forward to how that mechanic will play out.
  17. Corey Stoll is playing Darren Cross/Yellowjacket. Edit: Took out spoilers. Thank you Tristof.
  18. I played Dust on Xbox 360 and really enjoyed it, so I'm glad it is coming to PS4. I thought Knack would be free, but I could see it being free closer to the holiday season. I noticed Surgeon Simulator is pretty cheap now in the store. Is it worth picking up just for the fun of it?
  19. I won't be playing this until after work tomorrow. I will be a Warlock to start out and I have no idea what my second character will be.
  20. Same here. Same thing happened with Infamous: First Light. No idea what to do about it.
  21. As it turns out, the code is the same for everyone, so people are posting it on multiple message boards. I still found the planet stuff cool and am now not looking forward to taking on the Cabal, especially if I go at it alone. If anyone just wants the code without doing the work for it, I will spoiler it.
  22. So what do we do to get that free emblem? I've started that planet view a couple of times, but haven't seen a login for M$/XBL/bungie.net at any point. I am not entirely sure. I assume you get a code before launch. And most of the articles I've read seem to support the theory that only players that were on the Moon during the scale test will get the beta emblem. To get the emblem you have to go to every planet and view everything, then at the end you get a code you redeem at Bungie.net.
