It's pretty amazing how much of the on-field action Fails The Eye Test by design as per the NFL rule book.

How else would you propose he cope with playing for the Raiders.

Actually I'm doubtful now. I heard "Simms" and assumed it's Phil's kid but I realize now this kid is Matt and I was thinking of Chris who broke his spleen (?) and that was long enough ago that he's probably out of the league. This MIGHT be a younger brother! Oh, just showed his face/stats graphic, yeah, definitely looks like Phil's kid. and confirmed by a Gumbel.

I am still sympathetic to Alex Smith so I don't mind watching him manage the rest of this game though.

Miami is blowing out San Diego so badly CBS is now switching me to a "more competitive" game. It's the Jets down 14 in the 4th to KC, so I am dubious about how much more competition I'm getting. Oh Vick just got hurt and Phil Simms' kid is warming up! This keeps getting "better"

Isn't 3B severely under-represented relative to the rest of the diamond?

No truth to the rumor that Nate Burleson was the guy who delivered the pizza What, did he jump up and down to celebrate the successful delivery?

2014 WORLD SERIES - San Fran vs Kansas City(?!)
BobbyWhioux replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in BASEBALL
Maybe. Since he only played four games and was released long before the playoffs, he may not get one. Every team is different on how they dole out rings so SF might not give him one. The Giants were very generous with the rings the last two times. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Uggla gets one. -

No one will remember or care, but Jeremy Affeldt was essential tonight. Shades of NLCS Game 6 when he came in for headcase Jon Sanchez and saved their ass. The Giants are the one team that pays out for their bullpen specialists and Double Play Machine Affeldt is actually worth it. -

Gregor Blanco was an eyelash away from becoming Fred Snodgrass (i.e. the Giants' Bill Buckner) -

If you can find Uncharted Waters: New Horizons I recommend it. Especially if you ride hard for other KOEI titles.

Here's hoping Tim Hudson's attempt to turn back time goes better than Peavy's. [He'd be hard put to do worse] -

I remember 2002 far too well to be comfortable. Though the modern/current Giants are really a better road team than a home team. The way the Giants and Royals are, it's probably gonna be whoever scores first. -

But now the ball is in the hands of the much more mortal Jake Peavy (or Tim Hudson, if it comes to that) Gotta hope one of them can turn back time for one night. -

Madison Bumgarner is wonderful. That Is All. -
It's pretty pleasant to watch Derek Carr and realize the Raiders actually have a professional QB. I mean, not that it actually amounts to anything. Of course not. The rest of the team still stinks. But still, it's nice to have higher expectations than "successfully receives the snap from center = A Moral Victory" for a change.

ZONE BLOCKING IS MAGIC

Well at least your opponent doesn't have Brady, right?

Cam put that in the one spot he absolutely had to put it. Nice sequence by Newton, between that and running through the would-be-safety
-
Yeah, if degree of difficulty counted the Bears would be back in this game. It was pretty amazing.
