  1. I count it. I dunno if its supposed to be with how other forums do it but to me a nomination is just a fancy first Yes vote.
  2. KENTA © vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima for the GHC Heavyweight Championship Event: NOAH "GREAT VOYAGE 2013 IN YOKOHAMA VOL. 2" Date: October 5th, 2013 Location: Yokohama Bunka Gymnasium Link: Download Here Not great quality but the only version I could find. Perfectly watchable though.
  3. I did it once, super easy, had no issues whatsoever. I had Verizon, for whatever that matters, but I just followed the instructions they gave and it just took a few minutes. To be fair I didn't transfer anything, I guess that part would be easier to do in store but actually getting the phone to work wasn't any issue.
  4. Since I have a cable high speed Internet connection with no limits, I sometimes forget that not everyone has cable, and not everyone has no limits. I hate for someone to see a match they want to download, but can't for capping or size reasons. When I upload matches I will probably be too lazy to do two versions (unless its a really special match) so I just wanted to see of those that do download matches, what your preference was in terms of file sizes. I capped it at 1 GB since I think that's the limit with mediafire, which is what I use. Thanks for the input!

  12. I think everyone knows the basis for how this works but if I am going to be forced to keep an eye on the folder, some really basic concepts: - The basic idea is that if you watch a puroresu match and really enjoyed it, you come here and in the proper thread "nominate" the match. It doesn't necessarily mean you think it is the MOTY, although different people have different criteria as to what they nominate or say yes/no to. Some just use the "I really enjoyed it," for others it is a more strong "this is a Top 20 match this year." Once you nominate a match, other members will give the match a "Yes" or a "No" depending on if they think the match is worthy. If the match you were going to nominate already was nominated, be sure to give it a "Yes" vote. - Assume votes from the old board are lost, so re-watch stuff and vote again! - If you nominate a match, you have to say something to explain why you are nominating it. It doesn't have to be a book, but at least a few sentences. If you can provide a link to where to watch it or post it in the Matches folder, even better, as matches that people don't know where to get won't be watched as much. - If someone nominated a match but you don't know where to find it, PM the person or throw the request in the Official Request Thread over in the Matches folder. - The old rule was that if you did a Yes/No vote on a Nominated match, you didn't have to say anything else. Well that's still fine and the vote will still count of course, but if you can say a little something as to why you voted that way (especially if you said no) that would be great as well. Course for matches from January to July that are re-nominated, I wouldn't expect more than a Yes/No since who wants to type up their opinion again - We aren't going to bash people for their opinions. Debates are great and that is why we have these threads, but insults such as "if you like this match you don't understand wrestling" or "you are a moron if you like this match" will be deleted. Civil discussions! - Soon as I have more moddy mod powers I will pin this thread and I guess a thread to put the top voted matches. I will try to edit the first post of each thread every few days with an updated list of what has been nominated. I will be uploading matches as I locate them in the Matches folder, so be sure to check there before hunting too hard for a match. The idea of this is to help highlight the best matches of the year leading to in theory a Best of 2013 Voting. But if nothing else these threads point people in the direction of some good puroresu and get some discussion going on certain matches. If you have any questions or I missed anything important just let me know!
  13. Shuji Kondo vs. Yuji Okabayashi Event: WRESTLE-1 Date: October 6th, 2013 Location: Tokyo Korakuen Hall Link: Download Here I don't actually know if this match is good, it just seemed like it would be the best match on this card since people like clubbin'. Quality isn't great, but its how I found it.
  14. Kazuchika Okada © vs.Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship Event: New Japan 40th Anniversary Date: March 4th, 2012 Location: Tokyo Korakuen Hall Link: Download Here Well the crowd used to be excited about Naito.....
  15. If it helps people any, they had three 10-man matches that fit that description but it looks like 3/24/02 was the only one that made tape which was Eddy's final match on the tour.
  16. Not that I don't agree it is a weird promotion, I am in the process of reviewing a third show now, that was just a house show with 400 people. So I wouldn't put a ton of stock in it, probably them just doing something amusing for the crowd since it will never hit TV.
  17. Want stuff? Post it here. Remember the Puroresu rolls in slower than it used to so if the event just happened yesterday it probably isn't available yet.
  18. OFFICIAL RULES: - Since we are in the Japan folder, naturally only puroresu matches. - No matches owned by any company that operates from the United States/Canada. - Keep the Requests in the Requests folder. - With the new "Like" system, it lessens the need to give a bunch of "Thanks" replies, you can just use that instead. But match discussion is always nice. - Multiple matches from the same show can go in the same thread. - Try not to flood the forum with every puroresu match on youtube, but if its a recent or really cool match then go ahead. That is all I can think of right now, if I am missing any I will post them.
  19. So who wants to run this thing? After four months I think it is time we re-started and even though I personally don't really post in these type of threads much, I know you guys enjoy it. I will do it of course if no one else wants to, but Ditch ran it beautifully before and I remember someone else saying they would do it if no one else was interested. If I don't see threads pop up by tonight I will make them myself
  20. I have very little on him which I only got from Zedi. But yea I also vote for "local guy to fill a spot", I have never seen his name tied to any of the larger promotions.
  21. I messaged a few poor souls about this six months ago, but figured this time I would just make it a topic since now I have the hardware for it. So currently I am in the process of shrinking my wrestling DVD collection by combining my multiple DVD events onto one blu-ray disk. This is a long term project since I have hundreds of events, but I don't really have much space so in the long run it will help a bunch. Anyway, I got the software and I already had the hardware, but here is the question - whats the best codec/bitrate/etc to not make the file size too big, but not lose any of the DVD quality? I know that I could convert them to "HD" and have a huge file that looks great, but the DVDs of course aren't HD so it is just a waste of space. But I don't want any loss at all. I have been playing with H.264 and mkv, but the mkv I could tell a slight loss. If anyone has done this and has any recommendations I would appreciate it. I know lots of different software can do this, currently I am using DVD Shrink to copy the DVD to my computer, Leawo Blu-Ray Video Converter to combine the DVD files into one big file, and then Ashampoo to burn the Blu-ray. I imagine there is an easier way with less software, but this trio seems to do the trick. But I am open to suggestions.
  22. I have a PS4 coming Friday and even have a few games for it (funny that the games/controller shipped first, so I have everything but the console) but now I am trying to decide if I should just flip it and wait until the spring. I really wanted Watchdogs which of course got postponed, and AC IV I am expecting to be fun but I can get it for the PS3 if I feel so inclined. So I am still on the fence, if they are still selling for 525+ plus when I have it in-hand on Friday (I don't post stuff until I physically have it) I will probably just sell it and wait. But if the price drops when the console is actually here I will probably just keep it and play the games I already have (AC IV and Madden 25). My big disappointment? No full scale/campaign couch co-op games at launch. Particularly disappointing since Killzone could have been. Anytime my brother and I get to hang out (usually holidays) we always play FPS or RPG co-op games and I wanted to show off my new toy over Thanksgiving. I know that couch co-op is dying and all as online gets more popular, but its a fun tradition we have always enjoyed since we were kids. So I hope some come out at least before July 4th anyway. Luckily, Super Mario 3D World comes out before turkey day and it looks pretty amazing.
  23. If this was wrestling, it would be the equivalent of the "B" house show in Montana. I follow the UFC somewhere between the average fan and the hardcore fan, and I only know by name four of the fighters on the main card. I sent the card to my brother, a casual fan, and he knew two by name, neither of which he really cared about seeing fight. They are really over-saturating themselves and it is only a matter of time before it comes back to haunt them. And it may still have some good fights, but in terms of interest going in, I have around 0%. It has to have the worst rating on FS1. But it won't be as bad as UFC Fight Night 30 on FS2, so they have that going for them. I would guess.... 480K viewers.
