  1. Collision was awesome, Rampage had good stuff too, but I fell asleep in the middle of that one! Okada calling Ford Taurus Ford Fairlane in the opening promos actually worked this time and the match itself kicked ass! I kinda figured Willow might take this one, since Jamie has things going on over here. The match was as hard hitting as you would expect. Really good stuff. The tag team contenders match turned out to be fantastic, with Lio and Action having been scouting Top Flight on purpose or by a lucky accident. The 10-man was entertaining but of all the guys in the heel team, it Josh Woods who eats the pin? Well, maybe it's because he's clean shaven now, I don't know? Maybe he deserves it? Someone went and reset Toni Storm!!! Ok, I was wrong about the using the same guys as last year in Continental Classic! So far, it has worked wonderfully! Garcia is having better year and was on his way to having a great showing in the tournament until the loss to Briscoe, who is now shocking everyone with his success! Brody King is having exactly the same success as last year and now it's considered a disappointment, when last year it was a shocker! Claudio is on his way to a better performance than last year, as well! The main event! Holy shit! I was expecting a draw between these two, but I also kept saying "Briscoe beat Fletcher the last time they met, so he knows how to get it done!" And Jay Driller is a death move, so it's nice to see it working the way it's supposed to! Man, that was great!
  2. The opening track of Animalize, I've Had Enough (Into the Fire) will forever be on my rock workout playlists, and I'm still fighting back tears every now and again when I listen to it at a right moment!
  3. I prefer white cheese and some relatively low-fat cream. Hgh and steroids probably give it a rather unsavory after-taste. Come to think of it, that could be one of the reasons why PAC is as surly as he usually is!
  4. You'd think that by looking at him but he was near Dynamite Kid in '96 Japan Legends match skinny back in 2007, before he discovered chicken and broccoli!
  5. You should really see the state of him in 2007. He's massive here compared to that time!
  6. I don't know, man! For whatever reason, this gave me a special tingle when I first read about it's existence! Other ones, yeah, pretty much.
  7. Well, the lack of sleep didn't ruin anything, but no new records on Trapbar. The idea was to do singles from different heights starting from 175,5 kg and ending up with 394 kg off the full blocks. I'll edit it in later. So, that would be from 386,5 to 868. Started with warm-up of 3x264 off a double stacked deficit (the higher and lower on top of one another) and 386,5 off that too, then 447 off the high deficit, 501 off the low deficit, 565 off the floor, 3x665 off the 3/4 blocks, 753 off the 4/5 blocks, 848 off the full blocks and 868 off the full blocks without shoes. Then 8x704 with shoes of with unintended rest pause, as one of the unattached small weights kept sliding off from under the handle. Then one set of shrugs with 352. All the starting and stopping to take videos with my phone made this super long and not super intense workout, but this was the fifth workout of the week, so I definitely won't complain. I do complain about the amount of snow that has been coming down since yesterday, though. Not huge amounts, but just wet enough to be heavy and stick to your clothes and every surface it touches! Like I would have any energy left for that shit at this point! I edited these lifts into a montage and sent it to my friends and relatives for proof. These weren't record lifts either, because I wanted to make sure every attempt succeeded.
  8. The dueling promo of that match not existing/happening would be/is a crime against humanity! Give them both 90 seconds to absolutely go apeshit and it would be one of the highlights of the year!
  9. Well, that's depressing. But we'll always have Hangman, at least.
  10. I was like: "That fucker just did a dropkick and landed shirtless, back first on gravel in winter time, no less!" Ouch!
  11. Are we absolutely sure she isn't some very, very distant relative of Tommy Dreamer?
  12. Concentrating on chest mostly today with plenty of different resistance band chest flies and regular bench. Luckily, I was able to increase the load up to 192, starting from 120. Not super long sets, but 5-7 reps, with 9 sets overall. One set of dumbell bench with a pair of 53's and one set of dumbell chest flies with 35's lying on a bench. Some resistance band lat pull downs and push downs and some gripper work. This was fun, let’s see how Trapbar goes tomorrow, with such short sleep and recovery?
  13. This is some next-level shit, because Glenn "Isaac Yankem DDS" Jacobs is also probably as unpopular with AEW as DMD is!
  14. Whatever you may think of Moxley's current character, you can't deny he has gotten into some serious shape. The tag match was ok. White continues to impress as a face, although hitting OC with the Blade Runner showed that he hasn't exactly lost his, ahem, edge. PAC can definitely do the methodical brutalizer really well, but the non-flashy "King of the Cruiserweights" PAC is easily the least interesting version of him. 4-way for the title should absolutely be an elimination match, because this just looks like OC is inserted here to eat the eventual pinfall. Christian Cage may be all that and a bag of dicks, but I have to appreciate him "going there" with Mox. Looking at him ranting and raving all I could think was "Looks like you could really use a drink there, Moxley!" or "If this is how you are going to be sober, you probably should look into getting back to doing what you'd rather be doing". By the looks of things in the CC at the moment, I'd say the semis are going to be Fletcher vs Ospreay and Okada vs Claudio with Ospreay vs Okada finals, but there's still ways to go, obviously. Solid stuff with Ospreay and Claudio, as expected, and I really like Ospreay's new hairstyle. A lot less douchey! The new gear works, too! Ospreay vs Darby is some next level dream match shit. Ok, so a year since the turn (and months after the double turn), Cole and MJF finally meet in the ring. This had better be worth the wait. Just kidding. Good to see Ricochet back on the board for real, but the crowd turning on him during the pair of Spirit Guns is pretty telling. Of course, that's probably the plan at this point, anyway. So, when Anna Jay loses to Not Sasha, what will she do then? Challenge the winner of Red Velvet - Leyla Hirsch? The main event was intense, and May can surely end a match in a flash with that Storm Zero. May vs Rosa looked like a certainty, but then "Timeless-less" Toni Storm makes her shocking return. Just don't make it a 3-way! Narrator: "They made it a 3-way!"
  15. Leg day, but mostly calves. 5 sets of squats with the machine but only two real sets, others were just warm up. I did 5x344 trying to go as deep as possible because I made a video of it. Then 6x444 and those were at least parallel, so I was happy with that. That one was recorded as well. Then 3 set of calves with 482, 2 with 444, 1 with 344 and so on. Once again, I didn't have time for a longer workout, but I have gone pretty damn heavy so far, so that's fine. Friday will be problematic because I will have to change shifts and do morning after the previous day's evening shift, so sleep will be ruined. I'll see what I come up with on Thursday, but Friday should be Trapbar, come hell or high water.
  16. Yeah, anyone who is on the way out should be having good, competitive matches against up and coming stars who need big wins to get more credibility. Not using the departing talent to their fullest is just dumb business. I think TNA have been pretty good at it, although that's what they are used to by now!
  17. Reduced Meadows Row pyramid today from 110 to 205 to 110. Recorded the 205 and 179,5 sets for posterity. Judging by the 205's there was no point in going any higher, but I did overall 8 sets per arm, 3 of which were with 110, though. More pull-ups, dips and some 5 sets of bench with 110. That shit is not getting better, but at least I can get my chest pumped by doing really slow reps. One set of hammer curls with 88's and preacher curls on the Scott bench with 26,5, trying to go really slow. Decent gripper work and half decent ab work at the end. My lats, traps, delts and other upper back muscles are really feeling these past two workouts, let me tell you! My friend used AI to calculate the weight of the bar in Meadows Row and came up with 28,5 lbs for the 44 lb bar, so in reality the pyramid was from 138,5 to 233,5 to 138,5. Yeah, I like the sound of that! That would make my top set record 282,5, which is pretty nuts, despite being ugly as shit reps.
  18. Yesterday, a pretty regular upper body workout with a bunch of stuff squeezed in with less sets per move. The single arm overhead dumbell press was warm-up plus three sets per arm. For the left arm, the best set was 5x79, which may be a record. For the right arm, I didn't go as heavy as last week, but I did get 53 up without assistance, so that's nice. Then 3 sets of incline dumbell bench, followed by hammer curls. 5ish sets of resistance band chest flies and 3 sets of resistance band lat pull downs. Two sets of standind bicep curls, two drop sets of resistance band push-downs, two sets of pull-ups and one set of dips. One set per arm of preacher/concentration curls on the Scott bench and one long set of dumbell chest flies on a bench. The main thing was that at about 35 to 45 minutes in, I did a set of hammer curls with 110's and actually got that on video for proof. Did 11 reps per arm and stopped before the ROM got shitty or Body English got out of control. Did the usual 88's set after that, but that didn't get recorded. Then some gripper work, a bit of abs and the hanging and rolling for the finish.
  19. Hell yeah, I meant that in a good way. He was a breath of fresh air at the time! It's just that they weren't looking for the next Sting when it came to him.
  20. It had to be, since we don't seem to have those anymore at least in that form. I don't think I (hardly) ever voted on those, but I do remember them pretty clearly, now that you mentioned them. Good times.
  21. While that is definitely possible, I see Hologram much like, say Alex Wright in '94-'95 WCW, where he too was undefeated, until he received his first title shot and after losing that became very beatable. If Hologram hadn't gotten hurt, he likely would have had a shot at Perry or Takeshita on tv sometime prior to Continental Classic and lost that. Then, a spot at CC would still look feasible due to his very good win-loss record, but for all we know that spot was going to Juice and had he not been injured, neither Hologram nor Kommander would be in the tournament.
  22. Kommander is getting everything Lucha Bros as singles would have gotten and now all the matches Hologram probably would have gotten at this point if he didn't get hurt. The only difference is that Fenix, Penta and Hologram could have won one or two of those same matches, but probably not. Well, they would have won one of those Lio Rush matches, just like Kommander did, but not really much else.
  23. Yeah, Rampage and Collision advanced the CC tournament wonderfully. Ricochet finally with a standout match, but still without doing anything we haven't seen others do, and the finisher still sucks. Garcia vs Mortos was really good action and Fletcher vs Okada was a shocker. If the shot at Jericho's ROH title is indeed the biggest opportunity in Cardona's career, it's time to take a cold hard look at your life choices. Komander vs Darby was spectacular and different. And probably as close as Komander will come to a victory in this tournament. Briscoe vs Garcia was really good with another shocker of an ending. Things got interesting, but Fletcher is looking like a runaway winner if things don't change real quick like!
  24. So, for legal purposes, Black Taurus had to remove his mask and was like, "Are you guys absolutely sure you wanna go there?", took the mask off, and THAT's what it was covering? Holy shit!
