Pretty happy with most Giants moves on day one. Likely is a great pickup. Re-signing Elumenor is also great. Would have liked keeping Wandale but that price is just too steep. Also would have loved getting Lindenbaum but The Raiders just had too much cap space and it was too rich. Edmunds is a dude I literally always trade for in Madden franchise mode so that gave me a chuckle that Harbaugh grabbed him too. Im mostly happy they didnt grossly over pay for anyone. I mean they did give a punter the highest contract in NFL history but it only equates to about 3.1mil a year so meh. Harbaugh got there and was like jeez these guys are ass we're gonna be punting a lotttt lol. I dont know why but I feel like Tua in Atlanta is going to work. I just have this feeling he's gonna be the starter and thier franchise QB. Right place right time. I also love the Dolphins cutting bait on Tua and trying something new. I had assumed that's where Willis would land and I hope it works out. It will 100% depend on scheme and coaching. Bring on day 2.

Kenneth Walker III is incredible. But I would prefer they not spend the money it would cost to get him anyways because it would prevent OL & WR upgrades. They have Skat & Tracey who aren't top tier currently but are a solid backfield. So Walker isnt a need at all. Too many holes to fill to go after luxuries vs needs. And you're right the few reporters I follow are all over the place trying to predict The Giants moves. 'Theyre definaly getting RB & LB. Theyre making drastic changes. Its business as usual. Don't expect big moves.' Its all smoke screens and throwing shit at all the wall until Monday hits.
-
The Giants restructure Devin Singletary instead of cutting him. He only counts for $1m against the cap now, originally slated to be $6.5m. In the sense that this creates more cap space than just cutting him, its a good move. But Singletary is beyond shot. I almost would have rather taken the cap hit just to free up his roster spot. Especially if The Giants really go after Walker III like the rumors are saying.

I could be mistaken but wasn't Keith Lee given yhe Bearcat name for a bit in WWE when he got put on the main roster and made to wear a singlet?

Brother I dont know what locker rooms you've been in. But no. Mid card guys do not get creative control. New Japan wanted him to drop the belt to Gabe Kidd. So he did. That's the story. Regardless if he was looking forward to it or hated it, its what they wanted and its what they got. Kingston has zero say in that scenario. I will defer from continuing this beyond this post because I feel like this one could drag on for awhile and I dont wanna. So good day to you sir.
-
Not with New Japan he doesn't. Omega I'll concede, he has enough tenure and pull to line up who he wanted to work for such a special return match. But Kingston 3000% does not, especially when he dropped the NJ Stong Title in that match. He's not picking who he wants to drop the belt to. That's 3000% not how pro wrestling works at that level. I'll rule this debate a draw. Thanks for playing.

What promotions do Kingston & Omega book? I get that Omega is an EVP in AEW and probably has the pull to shut something down. But not in NJPW where he was slotted against who NJPW wanted him against. Same with Kingston on the NJPW Strong show. I havent seen a whole lot of Kidd's work so I dont have a fully formed opinion yet. His character is blender hodge podge dufus stuff tho. Crawling around and rolling his head a lot are some weird manurisms. But his match with Omega was super highly praised. I think the person that portrays Kidd is a dipshit but the jury is still out on his work.

The irrationalness of my posts isnt an intentional character. Its the authentic scatterbrained world I live in lol. I dont take offense to that, I get it. But I'm not trying to be a contrarian or do gimmick fights or anything like that. I was raised by Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The only way I know how to express my point is through emotional outbursts. -

I dont think I interpreted thr Danhausen thing the same way as everyone else. I had thought the audience booer because the lights went out and he didnt get to talk or interact with anyone. Kind of WWE in a nutshell. This dude is perfect for your comedy role. So how do we debut him? R-Truth bumping into the box backstage and Hausen creeping out and doing some of his bits? No? Oh its WWE. Lets do ridiculous dance number with extra hooplah. He'll be fine. Once he has a few backstage bits he'll land.on his feet. But just an odd way to debut him. -

In my defense Ive taken many Ls on this board in a respectful manor. But the way multiple people, even The Natural who Ive always had a good posting relationship with, jumped on me for acting like what I was suggesting is ridiculous... just got to me. I'll apologize for over reacting. Im sorry and I will dial it back going forward. But what I posted is not ridiculous. Thats not my threads page, thats someone posting what the reputable Sports Illustrated reporter is reporting. It absolutely was a big component of this from WWE's side. So many people jumping to this incredibly shady company's defense as if they don't do sleazy things often also baffled me and added to my frustration. -

I'll wait. That's not the jump. The jump is my first post. Before everyone decided to try and dunk on me for being such a fucking idiot. -

Weird, this post says essentially what I said but you didn't have anyone personally attacking you for it. Everyone being critical of my post is naive as fuck if you don't think that was partially WWE's motivation by doing it the way it was done. Period. WWE the benevolent good guy company always looking to put smiles on employee's faces. Give me a break. -

AJ has famously gone on record saying he turned down TNA's HOF and wouldnt accept any HOF induction until no longer an active performer. So what does Trips do when there's rumors he may go out and work elsewhere? Shoot surprise induction on live TV. So while most see this as a nice feel good moment I see it as a sleezy one. So now AJ is kind of forced into it. They did it on live TV so if he backs out he looks like a chud and if he goes through with it and still works anywhere else, he's a hippocrit. Yes I'm well aware there wont ve alot of agreement with me here lol. But I stand by it. I said what I said. -
This is a good distinction to note. The injury time added on is what I find most unethical. But even tho Jericho more likely than not asked for time off, it could also just be TK icing him out like everyone else it feels like is leaving. Jericho asking for time off to play with his band is not the same as Rey Fenix having injury time added to screw him on the way out. I can see the difference there. But Jericho also did *so much* for AEW in the early years. In this case it feels extra slimey to me even if not quite as bad as other instances we've seen.
-
Just because it's acknowledged doesn't make it ethical. You could put in a contract that AEW can chop off one of your toes off every year. Doesn't make it right or legal. Even if signed. Nothing illegal about the contract freezing. But certainly unethical. Especially when only enforced as a defensive move when someone is leaving or out of spite.
-
Contract freezing is scummy as fuck. Hate it when WWE does it. Hate it when AEW does it. Professional wrestling contracts should be similar to professional sports contracts. You get a set amount of time with the performer. If they happen to get hurt, that's just the way the cookie crumbles. I wish someone would come along and challenge this bullshit and the independent contractor bullshit.
-
Im so on board with this. Not just because it reduces the amount of titles. But so because it makes total sense to the story being told. Merge all three titles and bring the Unified Title back. And it's permanent. Men get World, National, Unified. Merge the TBS Title with the Roh TV Title and call that a women's unified title, then intro dice a women's national title. Men get 3. Women get 3. Each get 1 tag. Launch the trios titles into the sun. As for the other main topic of the last few pages... why couldn't all this Title shot weaving lead to a Gauntlet Match or 6 way at the PPV. You can say Hangman & MJF have only wrestled twice but that makes it *worse* that thier pairing feels so stale. Imagine mixing it up and doing MJF vs Brody vs Swerve vs Hangman vs Kenny vs Andrade at the PPV. Imagine giving them free reign to go an hour with a Gauntlet Match and how fucking good that would be.

Bad take. Don't make me put my Eli profile picture back on lol.

FF7 Remake is out on all platforms now, FF7 Rebirth drops June 2nd for Switch 2 & Xbox. Looking quite possible Part 3 gets announced at Summer Games Fest and comes out Q1 2027 with no PS5 exclusivity. But we'll see about the exclusivity part. I may or may not have decided to buy all the mainline FF games Ive never played. Finished 1 off. Pixel Remaster version. I enjoyed it. Kind of fun to go back and see how the series evolved. Prior to this I had only played 7, 8, & 9 (and the remake series). Xbox had a big sale on most mainline numbered ones and the pixel remaster bundle. So not as crazy as it sounds.

Rasslin' Video Games
NoFistsJustFlips replied to Technico Support's topic in COMPUTERS & GAMES & TECH
It blows my mind so many people love & buy the 2K games. The game play is aggressively unfun to me. Now I havent played a 2K game in a longggggg time. So Im using maybe outdated opinions. (Although I think it's been roughly the same engine for a decade now without that many tweaks. Correct me if Im wrong). I so wish AEW was working on a Fight Forever 2. I know the game was not praised but it was a pretty solid starting point that I think they could evolve into something really great. But with it being so panned who knows if they have anything even being worked on. -
I believe WWE keep what they call the HD TV belts. All the talent still travel with titles and take them to the house shows. They just grab the nicer TV belts before going out on TV. But still gotta lug them through TSA and all that. Fun right.

I knew Brie Bella was in the Runble based on her having an anti ICE post that she took down almost immediately last week. Really only one reason to have to do that.

I could be way out in left field here.... but why is anyone assuming they're running the triple threat at Mania? The plan we heard about months ago was Roman vs Cody. The plan (seems to me at least) is still Roman vs Cody. They run the triple threat at Elimination Chamber. Cody wins. Reigns vs Cody. Sponsored by Street Fighter out this summer. Lots of hype video cutting scenes from the movie against WWE footage. Just kinda writes it's self. Punk's challenger will be the winner of The Chamber. I just don't have a clear picture of where they're going. I could almost see Punk losing the belt to Bron at Chamber, Seth surprise stealing someone's spot (if healthy) and winning The Chamber. You get Bron vs Seth (which was the original plan) just with the roles reversed. Idk. Maybe too much title switching at The Chamber for both to be true, so who knows. The AJ glove thing, mainly for my own selfish reasons, I hope was him subtly saying I'm not done yet and I'm finishing my last year elsewhere. His contract was up and he knew this was gonna be his last year. So offer WWE the idea to put Gunther over and retire you on your way out as your contract expires so you can cash in for a huge one year contract and LOTS of dream matches with AEW. But more than likely I'm just reading too much into it. But man AJ vs Ospreay, AJ vs Omega, AJ vs Hangman, AJ vs Swerve, AJ vs Fletcher, AJ vs Takeshita, AJ vs Okada, AJ teaming with The Bucks, AJ vs Pac, AJ vs Darby, AJ vs Brody King, AJ vs MJF... twelve fucking BANGERS right there and I'm probably missing another eight.
