  1. People are getting way ahead of themselves trying to compare this Clips squad to the 90s Bulls... Clippers Nation (@ClipperNationCP) Tweeted: With the addition of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the resemblance between the 2019-20 Clippers and the 90's Bulls is uncanny. #NBA #NBATwitter https://t.co/3g1jmmJzg1 https://twitter.com/ClipperNationCP/status/1147530361582186496?s=17
  2. I didn't even know that was a person. I have been out of the loop.

  4. Here's my problem with your scenario. The West will be such a bloodbath that homecourt will be necessary. With no depth, Lakers won't be able to afford a night off. AD has only played more than 70 games once in his entire career. LeBron doesn't have the Heatles this time around and playing in the weak East. @Brian Fowler
  5. I don't see it. Unless LeBron and AD get a ton of depth from the 17 million they have left, they won't be able to manage the minutes like they need. AD is fragile and LeBron is one year older. I think the team is worn out by the time the playoffs come around. Edit: I don't know if they actually have 17 million. I just subtracted Danny Green's 15 from 32.
  6. As a Spursfan, I always cheer for Danny Green... but not for the next two years.
  7. In sad but expected news... Danny Green goes to the Lakers for 2 years, 30 million. https://sports.yahoo.com/toronto-raptors-guard-danny-green-to-sign-los-angeles-lakers-free-agency-062754101.html
  8. Memphis is waving Dwight Howard or are expected to. Also, this Kawhi move is maybe the greatest swerve in NBA history. Are there any wrestling swerves better than this?
  9. This is so insane. Broussard "Kawhi is 99% going to the Lakers." Jalen Rose " Kawhi is 99% staying with the Raptors." Kawhi.. "Uh-Hah-Hah-Ha"
  10. Well, now we know that Zach Ryder is the cameraman for most episodes of WWE tv.
  11. I know this is driving the GMs up the wall but what purpose does it serve the player to wait? With Kawhi waiting, other teams are gobbling up the role players that could surround you and make your team stronger.
  12. I saw Cock Sparrer in Chicago a couple of years ago. They were amazing.
  13. I forgot about the Boston Big Three. Shit, they sort of started this whole mess.
  14. It will be interesting since Kawhi, LeBron and AD all have injuries in their pasts. If they join forces without a bench to help them manage minutes... I could easily see one or more breaking down midway through the season.
  15. Yeah, I don't remember the Rockets having much in those Chuck years. Still, if the Lakers get Kawhi... who else could they get to fill out the team? Can they sign Cousins and Danny Green and other solid role players?
  16. I am trying to think of other Super Trios who didn't have any depth on the team. Miami had a nice surrounding cast of characters with players coming to play for less. Golden State had great supporting players. San Antonio always had solid depth to help the Big Three. When Barkley, Hakeem and Pippen were on the Rockets, who was the 4th guy? Holdovers from the championship years? Did Cleveland have any depth when they won with LebBron, Kyrie and Love? JR Smith? Then we have a team like the 2004 Lakers who signed Payton and Karl Malone and got bounced in the Finals. The Kobe-Howard-Nash Lakers were a disaster. Last year's Thunder team flamed out with Russ, PG and Melo. What other Big Three in the Modern Era am I missing?
  17. I remember Salley celebrating with the Bulls like he was the MVP lol. I stopped watching the NBA for three years when the Lakers went on their roll.
  18. Did the Chief only win with Chicago and Boston?
  19. I was talking to a friend and he had a great line... feels like a change that will result in no change.
  20. Man, you are right. So... what's the biker stable going to be on SD?
  21. Was Bischoff in charge of Aces and Eights? That was pretty horrible.
  22. Robinson also spent 2 years completely away from competitive basketball before he played a game. Garnett entered straight from high school. The point stands.
  23. We absolutely can judge Davis this early in his career. He has 7 years to judge from. 2 playoff runs. No seasons above 50 games. Only played more than 70 games twice. Led the league in blocks once. Never averaged more than 3 blocks a game. If you want to call him the best big man in an era of weak big men... sure, why not. But he's not a winner. Robinson had an MVP to his name in his first 7 years. He instantly improved his team from a 20+ win team to a 56 win team in his first year. Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Scoring Champion... all within his first 7 years. Led the league in blocks once with 4.5 blocks per game. Never averaged less than 3 blocks per game. Robinson had some help (basically Elliott and Rodman) but during his biggest run, his backcourt was Vinny Del Negro and Avery Johnson. He only played less than 80 games once in those 1st 7 years. Garnett carried some mediocre/dogshit teams to the playoffs 6 out of the first 7 years of his career. He got bounced in the 1st round every time but he made it. In his 8th year, he was MVP of the league. He only played less than 80 games once once in his first 7 full seasons (and that was 77 games). Led the league in rebounds in years 9-12. On your other point, guys like Garnett and Robinson would feast in today's NBA. Robinson was such an amazing athlete who would thrive in a score happy, run and gun league. Same with Garnett. Also, Robinson was competing against the Hakeem Rockets, Drexler Blazers, Stockton/Malone Jazz, and Chuck Suns. It wasn't like he was competing against weak ass Eastern Conference teams that LeBron plowed through. Garnett had to contend with peak Duncan Spurs, Dirk's Mavericks and Shaq/Kobe Lakers. Same point.
