I watched the video but I didn't see the part that said Johnny Impact was coming to AEW. Where was that stated or implied? I am not opposed to anyone showing up on AEW tv. I am more concerned where they are positioned on the card. Johnny coming in and putting over fresh new faces or entrenched in a veteran/rookie tag team? Cool. Johnny coming in as a main eventer challenging for the AEW title? I'll pass.

I hope not but I think it depends on how much creative liberty they give the talent. A lot of these guys were raised in a wrestling culture where sleazy angles and "shocking" moments are part of the norm. This shit goes back to at least the 80s so I expect we will get a few moments where we all collectively shake our heads.

I don't think they would have MJF and Spears team up again so soon after FFTF. Could be wrong. The MJF promo was so great. This guy is amazing. The build-up to Cody vs. Spears has been awesome.

They should absolutely end with Moxley-Omega. Also, CM Punk would move needles for a startup company. Maybe it doesn't last. Maybe they fuck it up. Maybe he fucks it up. Doesn't matter. When TNA had Kurt Angle come in, they had him feud with Joe and had the biggest buyrates in company history. Bringing Angle in wasn't a mistake. The way they handled it after and the way they treated Joe as an afterthought was a huge mistake. If you think Punk doesn't move needles then fair enough. We can agree to disagree. Also, bringing someone into the company from the WWE isn't a mistake in and of itself. Would anyone be upset if Rusev or the Revival or Sasha or Luke Harper showed up? No. People would go nuts... especially if they made as big of an impact as Moxley has so far.

Sasha and Rusev have widespread exposure on WWE TV to a national audience. This isn't knocking Scurll at all. However, you won't get the HOLY SHIT chants for a Scurll the way you would for a Sasha or Rusev. Scurll would be somebody you would have to spend more time introducing to a national. audience than Sasha or Rusev. I hope Scurll comes over and adds even more depth to the product. Badass.

I think the TNT show would be Punk. Sprinkle in some seeds early but hold back. Unless it is a current WWE superstar under contract we don't know about, I don't think they can have anyone bigger than Punk at this moment and it would be more important to debut on TV imo. Not Scurll. Until a few months ago I didn't even know who he was and I doubt anyone outside the wrestling bubble would know either. This is why I wish we knew when Rusev's contract or Sasha's contract are up.

I'm sure there is an interesting discussion to be had about the mid 2000s women's division in WWE.... just not here. Let's get back on track. Anyway.... my bold prediction is that they will have a big surprise on the All Out PPV (ala Moxley) and another big surprise on the TNT debut. I don't know who those two would be but I think we are looking at 2 big names, not one.
