Greggulator
I don't know where to put this. The Best Show on WFMU is a radio show that a lot of people listen to as a podcast. It's one of the landmark comedy things of the past 15 years. For the unintroduced, the host is Tom Scharpling, who is sort of a crank. He gets calls from residents of the fictional city of Newbridge, NJ that are voiced by Jon Wurster, the talented drummer of Superchunk and The Mountain Goats and Bob Mould's band. Together, they make magic -- all sorts of bits about things like The Kiss Army, Marky Ramone's pasta sauce, how weird Philadelphians are, etc. In addition, Tom tells stories/rants and also fields phone calls from folks. He's also had a ton of guests -- Ted Leo, Jon Hodgman, Patton Oswalt, Aimee Mann, Aziz Anzari, Chris Elliot are some of the guests. He's been doing this for 13 years. It's a labor of love -- WFMU is a free-form (and amazing) radio station. The people who do shows there are all volunteers. Tom announced on last night's show he's hanging it up for bigger and better things.Truly a sad day for comedy nerds everywhere. Tom's one of the good guys. Greggulator
I'm not sure if Tom is becoming LA Podtrash like that no-good Jake Fogelnest quite yet.

I'm reading that in the voice of Frank Cross from SCROOGED. "You see that guy? He's L.A. Podscum. Check him out for me."
Greggulator
To tie it into wrestling, your favorite NXT wrestler AIDEN ENGLISH has called into the show before.
