Impact Wrestling - Airing June 1, 2023 from London, Ontario, Canada

*Bully Ray opened the show with a promo. Bully said he would win the 8-4-1 tournament at Against All Odds and go on to challenge for the world championship. Steve Maclin came out and said they would make a good team, but he wouldn't mind facing him either.  Bully said he respects Maclin. The Motor City Machine Guns interrupt and they go back and forth. Sabin brings up beating Bully for the title 10 years ago while Shelley brought up Josh Alexander making Bully tap and said Maclin was only champion because of Josh's injury. The MCMG challenge them to a tag team match. Bully says they accept, but it wouldn't happen tonight. Subculture then came out to set up a tag with the Guns. 

*Eddie Edwards (w/ Alisha) def. Yuya Uemura (13:37) after the Boston Knee Party. After the match, Edwards denied Yuya a handshake. Frankie Kazarian then came out and attacked Eddie.

*oVe (Sami Callihan & Jake Crist) def. Decay (Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus) (1:59) when Callihan pinned Steve after Jake hit the Crist Cutter off Taurus' shoulders. After the match, The Design attack Sami & Jake until Rich Swann makes the save.

*Trinity def. Savannah Evans (w/ Gisele Shaw & Jai Vidal) (4:37) via Starstruck submission. After the match, Trinity challenges Deonna Purrazzo for the knockouts championship at Slammiversary which Deonna accepts. Afterwards, Savannah, Gisele, & Vidal attacked Deonna & Trinity. Jordynne Grace came out for the save but got taken out as well.

*Jody Threat def. Dani Luna (7:24) after the F Bomb

*The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) def. Subculture (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster) (16:34) when Sabin pinned Webster after the Dirt Bomb.

Really liked the opening promo. Thought they did a great job setting things up and bringing up history among them. Maclin as champ coming off like the Man after that killer match with PCO.  Eddie/Yuya was good stuff.

Surprise to see Decay squashed so quick, but the finish was epic. Jake's cutters were always some of the best, glad to see him back.

Also surprised how quick Trinity beat Savannah since Savannah's singles usually get some time. Felt like it was just getting going. Regardless Trinity/Deonna next month should be excellent.

Jody/Dani turned out to be pretty awesome. Glad to see Dani get some time and not get squashed. Jody's first real test of a match and she looked great in it. Loved Jody having to bust out a different finish to put down Dani, great stuff.

Super fun main event from two teams with similar styles. Love the idea of Sabin and Shelley both going for the singles titles on the same show. Still hope to see Subculture stick around, especially Dani Luna as she already proved she'd fit right in with the knockouts division.

Nothing too outstanding from Trinity vs Savanah. I've never really found Savanah to be all that good, but she plays her role so the match pushed the strength vs speed story well enough. The post match antics were fun. A nice way to keep Giselle in the fight. Deonna vs Trinity should be a good match, but I'd definitely like a little more story. 

Jody Threat is getting over with the Impact audience which is good to see. I'm not too familiar with Dani Luna but she throws a damn good lariat. I think she's gonna fit right into the division too.
