Yes, Hoult/Nux was great. I wasn't expecting that character to have the depth that he did.
-
The treasure keys were being found in the Queen's Wrath chests, but the ToO passages were dropping in regular Crucible play.
-
The Queen's Wrath bounties and the related public events (basically lengthier, more challenging versions of the old Blades of Crota events) are available now. Apparently some HoW items like Prison of Elders treasure keys and Trials of Osiris passages are dropping also, maybe on purpose, maybe on accident. Or at least they were until PSN went down!

Are we sure that's not the guy they kicked off the SUICIDE SQUAD set? -
I think Hunger Games is what it is at this point. I don't think there's an extra hundred million dollars worth of people who've been hanging back waiting to buy a ticket to the last movie. When growth was basically flat from the 1st movie to the second, that told you all there was to know.
-
You neglected to mention that it's a FLAME-THROWING guitar. In any other movie, I would've rolled my eyes every time that guy showed up on screen. But in THIS movie, in a world THIS bizarre...sure. I'll buy that some psycho megalomaniac thought that was a worthwhile allocation of precious resources. It was kinda awesome that you could hear him playing in the distant background sometimes.

Aaaaaand David Lynch is back on TWIN PEAKS. For now.

And as luck would have it, a severe thunderstorm has spun up out of nowhere, giving me constant brownouts. Watch Bungie have this hot fixed before my internet stabilizes.

Okay... 1st time I pulled it off going from Ember Caves to the Citadel. I just tried it going from the caves to the Headlands, but it didn't work. However a public event was starting just as I got back over there, so that might've caused the chest to despawn. Not sure. Still had 40 seconds on the key timer.
-
FYI you can double dip the ether chests if you're quick enough. Take the loot, leave the area, then immediately go back to the chest and you get more loot. Presumable you could pull this off up to 3 times if you 1) find the chest fast enough and 2) the changeover to the next area is close enough. I did it at the Ember Caves. Didn't find the chest at the Citadel fast enough to test

It's a great movie, but it's not THAT. It's probably being overhyped a bit just because it feels like such a breath of fresh air compared to most blockbuster action fare these days. In a world where cities are destroyed on a weekly basis during the summer, the sight of men flying is ho-hum, and CGI cartoon characters interacting with humans have grown sadly commonplace, there's real value in an action scene that leaves you wondering "How did they DO that?" And this movie has that in spades. It's the rare summer movie that's legitimately capable of surprising you. Everything from the action to the set and costume designs feels completely different from anything else you can buy a ticket to see right now. At times, the movie feels like it just beamed in from another planet. It is THAT fucking weird. Even if you're a Mad Max fan who knows the old movies by heart, there's still plenty of WTF to go around.

Like Peter Parker? -
Yeah, as insane as the trailers were, they didn't promise half the crazy in this movie.

But season 2 of ARROW was really good, and probably darker than this season, all things considered. Tone was not the problem with this season.
-
Well, thank god, this season of ARROW is over. Pardon the pun, but it really was all downhill after "The Climb." The back half of the season was just a disaster. If Berlanti and Kreisberg aren't going to be as involved in the show anymore (they only had writing credits on the premier, finale, and the Flash team-up episode), they need to get someone in there to run things with Guggenheim. He's terrible. Drew Z. Greenberg was badly missed after he defected over to SHIELD this season. Late season 1 through season 2 was the best run of the show, and I doubt it's a coincidence that lined up with his tenure. I'd also be interested to find out if there was some Marvel-esque meddling from DC's film branch going on this season. Early on, it definitely seemed like they were building up Waller/ARGUS/Suicide Squad as the main antagonists, only to completely change course, and thus render the Waller-centric flashback story totally pointless (before they seemingly abandoned Waller, too, and became somehow even more pointless). Makes you wonder if someone noticed and said, "Sorry, we're doing all that stuff in a movie. That's not for you anymore."

Up until the superkick afterwards, I was wondering if they were experimenting with a Breeze/Rose team. They had a good dynamic, and they'd be great guys to lead Enzo & Cass through a series. But I guess not. I think Breeze could eat Hideo's offense in his sleep, at this point. Like, seriously, I imagine he just flops around in his bed like a fish out of water, going through Hideo's kick sequence in his dreams.

Looking like Asa Butterfield is landing the Spidey gig for CIVIL WAR. He's 18, but would pass for younger than that. He's British, so we'll just have to cross our fingers that he doesn't affect a lousy NEW YAWK accent like Garfield did. -
The head of CW explicitly said this isn't an AGENT CARTER situation, and that they would have no qualms with airing all 3 shows at the same time, if it's successful.

So my ears did not deceive me. That WAS Jonathan Banks as Gordon. Tremendous.

This would be a great angle.Have Owen come out with a promo putting down Zayn and alluding to how the powers-that-be are rushing to get Samoa Joe to replace him then have Owen put himself over, how he's driven by his family and nobody in the back can beat him because of it. Cue Leo Kruger's music and have him come out. Tweak Kruger's character a bit, wholesale ripoff Deadshot if they must. And keep Kruger in NXT and Rose on RAW/SD. So everybody watched the E:60 special, but missed the part where basically everyone in management buried the Leo Kruger character. That dude is never coming back.

CONGRATS ON BEING AWESOME WITH A GUN WHERE ONE FUCKING HIT BASICALLY PUTS YOUR OPPONENT ON DEATH'S DOOR, GUARANTEED, JT, GODDAMN YOU.

Anybody feel like DB Woodside's angel character is eerily similar to Harold Perrineau's angel on the late CONSTANTINE? I mean, besides being black. It's like the exact same part. It will be lucky to last as long. Making your main character The Devil alienates a sizable portion of your audience right off the bat, even before you start taking things like "quality" into account.
-
Joe lost his first match in ROH. Things worked out for him there.
-
THE PLAYER actually looks decent. I can kinda see how the concept could sustain itself over the course of a series. BLINDSPOT, on the other hand, looks like a terrible example of the sort of "high concept drama" that all the networks (besides CBS) have been chasing ever since LOST. Like, once you catch the guy who did the tattoos...that's pretty much it, right? And how long can you really drag that out before people stop caring?

Dear Lord. Did MGFanJay take those pictures?
