  1. I'm gonna get auto collectors, but I got a few things ahead of them in line. Need more gardens, specced out. I usually give my free-range food to the free-range slimes because I've got better things to carry with the vacuum.
  2. I just figured out how to beat the tar guys today. My mind is spinning with the 1,000 things I need to do when I get home. Little tip you may know (I learned the hard way): When you get into collecting rock slimes, don't put a whole whole lot into one corral or they attack the shit out of you when you're getting their plorts.
  3. I dunno, those rocket-firing rocket bikes sure do suck
  4. I just downloaded this and I'm enthralled so far. I highly recommend the XBoxers here give this one a spin - the price is right (free on Games with Gold) and it's not a huge download (slightly less than one gig). This game is a sneaky little charmer and a great fun, light play.
  5. So I drift in to see how Los Santos is at night. Not too bad, except for this one dude who kept sticking his foot up my ass with that rocket-equipped flying motorcycle. He just kept getting on the damn thing. That thing's a pain in the ass because I don't think I ever saw him coming. You can kinda tell there are haves and have nots. I hope all the low-level guys get their hands on a glitch so they can keep up with the big dogs' toys. There was a level 800-something (probably legit, very possible) who came in the room, handed EVERYONE who got near him their ass, and then left. It was like a tornado rolling through Los Santos.
  6. Here's some stuff from the developer chat on Twitch: 1. No more patches for multiplayer. I kid you not. If it's broken now, it ain't getting fixed. They said they can tweak damages by players and enemies and such "server side," but there's a lot of stuff that would require a patch. 2. They are adding the Remnant map from the APEX missions as a playable choice, but that's the last map we're getting. 3. There will be more characters, since they had them planned already. I can't guarantee this, but I'm outta here. If any of you guys are on when I'm on and wanna play multiplayer, even if I'm playing something else, shoot me a message. I'm always up for hanging with the family. I am hoping (unless I get really bored) to avoid ever playing this game with a team of all randoms again. I'm sick of having to accept underpowered teammates because you don't know if you can replace them, then having to revive those underpowered teammates 1,000,000 times to get 100,000 MP credits so I can spend all those on a First Aid pack, two guns I'll never use and two consumables I'll never use. I was gonna do this anyway, but reading that they're done patching the what seems like millions of problems with multiplayer left me defeated.
  7. Mass Effect: Andromeda broken? That, suh, is an outrage! (prepares to challenge Robert to a duel for the game's honor). Tired of having to run through two gold games that seem to take forever to get an RPG and (maybe if I'm lucky) a strength enhancer booster as the only useful things in my reserves pack. Tired of passing on 30 mission funds because I don't wanna play four bronze games, it seems, to get my 35,000 tech points. That's time I could be using spamming gold to buy useless crap in reserves packs.
  8. Part 2 of the APEX is a hoot. A couple of the typical stips, plus a new wrinkle that each ammo box doesn't replenish at the end of the wave. And they give you no extra ammo. Bring ammo packs. It's also 11 waves, with activity waves at 3, 6 and 10.
  9. I'm thinking the same thing about Los Santos. We had to start Golds last night and just hope we got two more. Then, you have no control over teammates. It's no fun. Speaking of which, all I wanted to do was hop on this afternoon, do my strike teams and play enough Golds to buy a disappointment pack (which was, of course, a disappointment. Team 1 was having a side competition to see who could die the most. Used every revive by wave 6. Hardest game I've played in ages, but barely made it. Game 2 featured a husband-wife combo. Isn't that cute? No, not really, they were both AFK. Gave up on Round 2. Game 3: Full of level 20s. Join in progress on wave 5. Teammates went on an impressive dying bender and we nearly didn't make it.
  10. I've played on the same team as puber tee a few times. I was pleased to be playing with my boy FlipSamore last night, mainly because of the singing involved. We actually had several real good teammates last night.
  11. The MP adds are crazy, as if the loot pool isn't horribly bloated enough. It's hard to find four people to play matches sometimes. How much do you think they could make on microtransactions with such a small player base? That apparently won't stop them from trying. And also notice that you're getting ripped off on Gold APEX missions. I get paid 40,000 for them, even though regular Golds pay 50,000 and APEX missions usually have a little money multiplier.
  12. OK, dammit, I gotta tell this tale. This just happened to me: One of the daily challenges is Biotic powers. I usually skip any of the power challenges because it's a pain in the ass to play a different character after being used to playing one specific character so much. But I figured "oh, come on, man, don't be a spoilsport, you can do it. Besides, you could really use those 30 mission funds." So I pick the Asari Duelist and look for a Bronze game on Firebase Magma (the map daily challenge). There's a guy soloing it. I join. It was COMPLETE FREAKING CHAOS. I got so pinned in by a Blaze Hydra on a Boss wave that I had to RPG my way out. On Bronze. Now, here's what I do with mission funds. You can do whatever you like, but here's what I do. I don't need weapon mods or XP boosters or respecs, so if I'm not saving mission funds for a piece of equipment, I use them to buy consumables piecemeal for 5 mission funds apiece. Let's say I use an RPG in a match, so I'll go buy my way back to 5 RPGs by spending five mission funds. Remember when I said the match was a disaster? I used five revives, one first aid pack and an RPG. Replacing these using mission funds will cost me 35 mission funds. My Biotic points after this disaster? 1,595 - four percent of the 35,000 I needed. So I'm in the hole on mission funds and I still have 33,500 Biotic points to go. As of now and the rest of the time I play this Godforsaken game, powers challenges can kiss my ass. Every single time. If it's Combat powers and I make it over the course of my regular gameplay, that's fine. But otherwise? Absolutely not. Just needed to share. Thank you.
  13. Bioware admitted they put up that APEX chest (the 600,000 one) too early, so that's why they took it down. That makes me think it's the payoff to the strike team series, probably next week or maybe this weekend.
  14. Soundtrack of a typical gold game with me and my random teammates: Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down. Teammate down.
  15. Dammit, I keep meaning to try that on bronze and silver strike teams to see how much I miss the 20 percent shield boost (the 15 percent melee boost isn't all that big of a deal), but I forget about it. Lately, I've been forgetting to use stickys in some really good situations for them, so I gotta get better at using those.
  16. For now, the character's build is to basically only melee, so I'm better off using the juggernaut shield (20 percent shield boost, 15 percent melee damage boost). The shotgun is window dressing. I only use it for the 33 percent melee boost that comes with the melee mod. If I do need to boost the shotgun's damage, for some reason, I can use a rail amp. But for now, the only thing I consistently shoot a shotgun at is the Ascendant's Orb. Oh yeah, forgot - this APEX mission may be a two-parter, because they talked about two different maps in the description of the first one. I wondered if it was gonna be 11 waves and change maps, but it turned out to be seven waves on one map. This makes me think there may be a part 2 later.
  17. Actually, the shotgun/melee one is called the Berzerker Package. The other one is indeed the Commando Package. I probably passed on it first time around, like I'm doing this time, so it reoffered it to me. Bought the Berzerker Package, but as usual, I'm unsure if I''ll ever use it.
  18. So you have one rare character up to XX, all the rest of them to XIV and you don't have the Batarian Scrapper at all? What's the chances of that? As a matter of fact, you should get him because of the newish stip that you have to have all of the characters in a class up to X before you start getting XI and above. Hmmm.
  19. Bunch of them. Pistol skirmish, go for the eyes and a new one that takes 50 percent off health and shields. It also has "activity" waves at 1, 2, 4 and 5. It's a silver mission. It was fine. They've taken that APEX pack out of the store, so either it was a mistake or they're saving it for later. New equipment in the store (for me) was something that ups shotgun and melee damage by 15 percent each, and another that ups gun damage 10 percent and biotic power damage 20 percent.
  20. Hard to believe you don't have the first Batarian. Are you buying Reserves packs? Try those, if not.
  21. I was impressed by how little it had changed. I thought it'd be straight out of Mad Max or something, but it was refreshingly like it always has been.
