There were a few decent guys last night, but a lot of crap as well. Never seen so many people in glitches/trying to get in glitches. Two guys kept trying to get into the one under the mall, so I just camped by the pay and spray and RPG'ed em every time they got close. Between that, the people in passive, and all the damn tanks we had a load of little bitches. Didn't stop em from getting killed though. Stout wiped out one tank, and knocked a second one down to the point where I got it with a single RPG. There were a thousand jets in the air as well, but none of em were any good. One jet had the misfortune to crash right by Stout. I'll leave it to him to describe he horrors he unleashed on that poor fool. Lots of Zentornos as well, but the usual methods were pretty effective on those guys. Highlight of my night was managing to allah akbar a buzzard when the guy landed to pick up another player.

Thanks. I'm gonna hold my nose and pick one of these groups. The Templar vs. Mage stuff has always been my least favorite part of these games, so I've been avoiding it so far. Mainly I've been wandering around in the woods picking up stuff and whacking random things over the head.

I'm always baffled by that - when I've got a bounty and I have to chase down other people. I ought to be on tonight - probably late as usual.

Read that before I went to bed last night. What's frightening is that most of the people they interviewed were as least as awful. I woke up this morning with "Caleb Meyer" (song about a woman who kills her would be rapist) stuck in my head.

Finally getting back into this after pretty much not touching it since early December - I'm now pretty much at the point where I have to decide between the two factions. Is there any real reason (rewards, followers or something like that) to pick one faction vs the other? Right now I want to go scorched earth and murder the lot of em.

The joy that Dan gets out of killing NPCs is one of the great things about freemode. Has anybody ever dropped a sticky bombed car from a cargobob onto somebody before? I was thinking I need to try that. I do that all the time as well. I figure as long as what I'm trying is ridiculous enough, it's worth it. I can pretty much judge how well the night is going by how many of those I actually pull off.

Agree that the actual xbox rep probably doesn't mean anything. There's actually a way to report people through GTA as well, though. My possibly way off base guess is that the people that have given us negative xbox rep have also done that through GTA. From what I've seen online, Rockstar seems to take that seriously. You're right about the mysterious algorithm. That's actually what bothers me about it. Sure we get the warnings about blowing up personal vehicles, but there's no real way to tell whether you're headed for juvie or not.

You were getting lots of weird shit that night, with the asshole texts from people we hadn't even fought, and things like that. I'm thinking negative rep from one or two of em could've caused your legal troubles. I know I got negative rep right before I got sent to juvie last time. I've never given negative rep to somebody that wasn't actively cheating. God mode, invisibility cloaks and the like will always get negative rep, but that's about it. Weirdly, I don't think I've ever got negative rep from a car bomb, and I'm probably up to around 40 of those by now. I got a second mesa as a personal vehicle rigged with one that I'm trying to use as bait in freemode. Did my first mission with strangers in about a year on Friday. Got run over by one of my teammates 5 seconds in. The only reason I didn't retaliate was because I'm not entirely sure he wasn't just incompetent. I have very rarely been a bad teammate, and everybody that has been on the receiving end has thoroughly deserved their fate.

I swear I don't understand how the bad player shit works. I blew up a ton of cars last time we were all on. The next time I got on, I blew up more, and pissed somebody off enough to get even more negative rep (I think it was some dumbass that got pissy after I came out of ammunation and found him hovering in a cargobob. Heat seeker took care of that. Dunno what he was expecting to happen). Anyway, got on for about 10 minutes last night, and the first thing I got was the good behavior reward.

I'm hoping the veteran combine thing eventually leads to the NFL having about 17 different drafts like Australian rules does.

The timer works the same whether you're playing or not, so it should finish up tomorrow night I guess. I'm still curious if doing missions with others really shortens it or not.

Hell JT, you're probably as prepared to to racing as any of us, except maybe Stout. I haven't done a race since Tuesday NIght Titans. I got on last night for a little bit. Told myself I would go do missions with randoms for a bit to raise money and maybe get myself some brownie points with the game. Of course what actually happened was that I spawned into a room of terrible players and spent 2 hours wrecking em. Blew up more personal vehicles than I should've, and spent a shitload of money on explosives. I think I'm just gonna have to accept that I've become a freemode degenerate. I did at least get one good kill out of it - I turned another player into an unwitting suicide bomber. I was chasing down a guy trying to sticky bomb him while we were both in Oracles. I managed to get one on his rear bumper, then hit the brakes. I was about to trigger it when I noticed he was chasing down another dot. I waited till he caught up to the other one, triggered it, and got both of em. Towards the end I wound up just north of the mall with dots hunting me from 3 directions. I managed to snipe one off the roof of the mall, and hunkered down to face the rest. One guy would just not learn his lessons. I got him with RPGs in exactly the same spot 3 times in a row. Then he came around another way and ran into the proximity mine I'd left there. Those 3 never did get me. A fourth guy eventually showed up without me realizing it and sniped me from a roof.

I have no idea if this is a coincidence after our cargobob/firetruck stunt, but I turned on my 360 for a few minutes last night to see if anybody was on and got this message from some random: "Fire Rescue Dept if u want to join" Melraz, you might want to check to see if you're being recruited to fly for em or something.

My preferred method for flying fighter jets is to crash into things quite frequently. Trees, buildings, bridges, the ground... whatever you've got really, I'm not picky. Hell, I've accidentally landed one upside down without it exploding somehow.

That guy was also memorable for being the only person that ever gave melraz negative rep. If you've got time, try out doing a mission or two with the sisters and see if that shortens the timer any.

As soon as you left, shit got crazy. We got completely surrounded by guys, and most of em were half decent. I know a couple finished up on me, and one was up like 5-0. Shit, and I forgot the cargobob/firetruck combo we tried on that guy up on the mountains. That was hilarious, even if it didn't work.

Can't believe they threw your ass back in the clink stout. I did my best to join you, but I guess they're letting it slide for now. Blew up so damn many cars tonight. I'm glad that damn tanker bomb worked. I drove the thing all the way from Zancudo to the downtown mall. I'd have been heartbroken if it didn't work out.

Don't know Los Santos is ready for a kinder, gentler melraz.

I ought to be on, but probably not till late. I've had half decent luck using the heat seeker as a standard RPG. Doesn't always work, though. Grenade launcher is useful for melraz' trick of banking shots off walls to get guys that are dug in. I don't use it for much else unless I'm out of everything else that goes boom.

I don't think we ran into a single person that was real competition. The one guy that kept messaging us probably did the best against me in the first room, and I finished up about 10-4 on him. There was one guy in the second that got about 5 kills on me, but I got him more than 20 times. I don't think anybody else in that room managed more than 1

Hey Stout, don't know if you could hear me when I said I was dropping off last night. We were having our usual mic issues from time to time towards the end. I knew the little man was gonna need to eat in a few minutes anyway, so I figured clearing that server was an opportune time to go. I think I might be going back to GTA prison after last night. So many damn cars blown up last night. I found 4 guys in supercars in one intersection. Drove right into the middle and set off the sticky on my Mesa. That's what set off that big scrum that was going on when you joined. Still don't understand why I got the Mesa back for free when I called the insurance in. I'm still laughing at the guy that charged us in the buzzard while we were tormenting somebody else on the beach. I don't think that turned out like he expected. I'm not even sure which of us won the race to blow the damn thing up. And I finally hit a jet with the heat seeker. Of course it was that guy that was terrible in them, and it didn't manage to take the jet out, but at least I hit it.

So pretty much an average night then.
