I wouldn't mind if they did I'm just saying that it's not generally how Tony Khan does things. He tends to focus on wrestlers who want to be there and puts the others on ice until the contract runs out. I don't believe a win over Mariah does much when the entire crowd knows she's leaving anyway but I'd be cool with them doing it if they chose to.

I agree. Tony Khan would have been KILLED by the fans if Sting had lost to the Young Bucks on his way into retirement. 30 years ago it's not even a question that Sting probably would have put someone over in that spot. It's not how the game works anymore. A lot of things have changed.

Every situation is different. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes other than the reports of her saying she's not going to re-sign. Maybe Tony Khan is trying to make an offer to her? But if it's clear that she isn't then there's no point in trying to "win her over" with a couple months left on the deal. And it absolutely would make Tony look bad if he jobbed her out to everyone on the way out. Times have changed. People feel it's "disrespectful" to be jobbed on the way out. Ricky Starks sat out and this feels like much of the same.

Megan Bayne was fine with taking an AEW deal. I guess you didn't read Vaquer's interview where she said she cried about the money but WWE was her dream as a kid. Not everyone is going to feel the same way Vaquer did. She took a risk and it's paying off but she's also an elite talent. That's not going to work out the same way for everyone else. You keep saying they've "taken Mariah May off TV" while ignoring the reports that she's said she's not re-signing. If that's true, then there are two options for Tony Khan. 1. You put her on ice and let her contract expire. 2. You put her out there to job on the way out. It's a no-win situation because if she was out there jobbing to everyone right now then there'd be an entire group of people saying she was "mistreated" for that.

The TLC Match was awesome. One of the better ladder matches I've seen in a while. It should have been on WrestleMania but I'm glad they all got to cook here. I thought Zelina and Chelsea were having a decent little match out there and I'm happy for Zelina. I'm guessing Chelsea gets the belt back pretty quickly. The Cena/Orton stuff has been hot but it's certainly not because of the writing. It'd be really hard to fuck up the two most pushed men in WWE history squaring off.

So we're just ignoring what AEW did with Toni Storm after she was just going to be another person fed to Charlotte ? We're just ignoring that Megan Bayne came right in and became a star overnight? We're just ignoring how they are allowing Harley Cameron to cook? We're ignoring the success of Statlander, Willow and Hayter? All women who would probably be sitting in NXT for several years making minimum on a developmental deal? Right....

Triple H endorsed this. He was there. He came out after it was over and said a few words. He's part of the problem.

All of the racist "jokes" bothered me because most of them were directed at people who were not there and did not sign up for this. That's a big issue. They were telling racist jokes about Jade, Bianca, Jinder Mahal, Nakamura, etc. and to my knowledge none of them were in attendance or participating at all. There were also some terrible "jokes" directed at people like Charlotte Flair, disgusting things and again I don't believe she signed up for it or was there. Imagine going to a company event and shitting on your co-workers like this, co-workers who did not agree to be shit on. It's mindboggling how it's tolerated and also celebrated by TKO and Triple H on down the line. I'm sure a defense of this will be "Well Jade Cargill or whoever hasn't said anything so it must be fine!" ... as if anyone really wants to jump out the window and ruin their position in the company.

I'm not "looking at the whole picture" because I was simply responding to someone who was saying that WWE is "clearly" the better option for women and I don't see it as that at all. Some women are getting paid more in AEW. Every woman in AEW is working less dates. To make more money (or competitive wages) to work far less dates is ALWAYS going to be attractive to some people. I'm not saying people shouldn't want to go to WWE. I'm saying that it's not a "clearly" better option.

I hate WWE? I've been to more WWE shows/events and spent way more money on WWE than I have AEW or any other promotion. There's a strong possibility many of these recent call ups end up way down the card or benched in the near future. NXT has a ton of ladies down there as well, a lot of talent. There is NOT enough room for everyone to flourish on the main rosters. You can say "hey 11 women worked at WrestleMania" but let's be clear. There were 4 total matches across two nights. That's not a lot of air time with the amount of women they have.

It's very telling that WWE had the audience lock away their phones for this and now every time someone posts the audio it's getting taken down almost immediately. They knew it was going to be fucking dumb and racist, they knew exactly what it was going to be and are now embarrassed that it's making the rounds.

This doesn't really matter anymore now that they are on max as well. They are reportedly doing very well on streaming.

We don't know what's going on with Mariah... When Ricky Starks was sitting on the sidelines it was clear that he probably told Tony Khan he was leaving. It was the worst kept secret in wrestling. Starks was definitely going to join Cody. Mariah could be in a similar situation. If her contract is coming up and she hasn't committed then why use her? You don't push people who could be leaving in a month or two. So either you take her off TV or you have her put other talent over.

I think they could go either way. A win for Hayter over Mercedes would give her a ton of momentum vs. Toni Storm and those two have history as well. Then maybe Mercedes has a rematch with Athena at 'All In'. However, if they go with Mercedes vs. Toni Storm it is probably one of the biggest matches they can do and it's their biggest show of the year so that also makes sense. I don't think there's a wrong answer.

So? Rusev went undefeated for a year, got a tank entrance at Mania and a match with John Cena. After that..... it wasn't long before he was completely dead. That's just one example. We are talking about a company that just had Lashley sitting home for months because they had "nothing for him" all the while he's still very over. Meanwhile, acts that aren't over at all receive constant TV time and repackaging. In some ways WWE is different, in other ways they are very much the same. A year from now Roxanne could be sitting in catering with Shayna or someone else they used to "push"

Did anyone really think the Bucks would lay down tonight? I can't stand the Bucks but it wouldn't have made sense for them to take the L and the match was about advancing the Ricochet and Knight story. They both got involved in each other's business.

The Tony Hinchcliffe Roast at WrestleMania audio has leaked and it's as vile and disgusting and racist as you'd imagine.

This was another fun show! Hard to top last week's special episode but this was still very entertaining. I feel AEW has found the right mix of personnel, match ups and "entertainment" over the last couple of months and they are really hitting their stride again. You get a great hoss fight out of Stat and Hayter. You also get a very fun match between Ricochet and Briscoe. You get another entertaining segment with The Hurt Syndicate and MJF. Everything is working. Also, they are doing a nice job building up this Ricochet and Kevin Knight feud. I've seen them going at it on social media also. They will be an awesome pairing.

Aside from Stephanie who is destined for stardom (no pun intended) I don't see how anyone can say Lyra, Roxanne etc. are "going to be better off" in WWE. Talk to me in like 2 years and we'll see what they are doing with them Lol.

I'm not glad to see Becky back, it was at the expense of Bayley who works hard all year long and isn't rewarded for it. Bayley probably doesn't say anything and just continues on waiting things to open up for her but it's complete nonsense. She deserves to be on that show every year while she's an active performer.

I had a pretty good feeling after the first three matches. Hot start. Bianca/Iyo/Rhea stole the show. But after the third match..... wow. Lmaoooo that main event sucked and still no Rock
