  1. No problem on the Thunder steal, I was away all day, so don't mind if folks jump on it. Going to go watch the 3-way
  2. Máximo, Super Porky, Valiente vs Comandante Pierroth, Ephesto, Rey Escorpión 10/11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KvRM-s45hU&list=WL99EC78153F6F5413 So happy this showed up, this was a previously missing trios match the week before the hair match and it was the violent mess we were hoping for. Escorpion throws a huge right to open it up and it is Porky and Escorpion killing each other. Finish was fun with Maximo losing it and going after Escorpion. Very fun although a step below the insane first trios
  3. Tony Rivera v. Bombero Infernal IWRG 11/3 Too much interference BS to be a truly great match, but it is a fun bloody brawl, with Bombero taking some nutty bumps. Rivera doesn't do much, but it is fun to see an Infernal showcase
  4. Blog Post Youtube There is a new youtube page IWRG TV With Castillo De Terror matches
  5. I fucking loved this match when I saw it during the nomination process. Really reminded me of Lawler v. Mantel from the Memphis set. Glad to see others digging it to
  6. I was concerned Matt might be the turd in the punch bowl of this lucha set, so I am really happy to see guys like him and Jerry who came in to this stuff totally new, being so into it.
  7. I thought this was truly awesome. The first matches were fine, but everything after the Chicana tope was off the charts. I just love Chicana v. Perro one of my favorite matchups in wrestling history, just brutal awesome violent brawlers who match up perfectly. Chicana is going to end this set in my personal top 10 of all time.
  8. Super Porky v. Rey Escorpion 10/18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHmsegTI9o0 Really different appropriately violent match. Kind of strange to watch a lucha shootstyle match, and it felt like two great wrestlers trying to figure out something new, like the great debut film from a director who will go on to do greater things. Working this in falls kind of hurts it, as the first fall was really fast, and while the second fall had some very cool stuff , Porky's headbutt was awesome, I think it broke it up weird. Loved the third fall and the whole building atmosphere. Finish was fine with Maximo snapping as he watched his dad get beat on. Very cool match, something I am going to want to watch multiple times.
  9. Blog Post Youtube A Bunch of hair matches a Valiente singles, lots of good looking stuff this week
  10. Blog Post Youtube Kind of a bummer week as early reviews of PARK v. Wagner are not kind and technical difficulties lost us another Escorpion v. Porky trios, lets pray to Santo the hair match shows up
  11. I would never say that. Although I would hate to publicly disagree with my good friend Childs
  12. Other Japan was the last set done before Will came on, so that was one I sent out for free if you sent me blank discs. That is probably why it had so many ballots
  13. Cubsfan Blog Post Youtube Playlist Chilanga Mask Good looking stuff this week. The Traumas v. Virus/Valiente 2, another Maestros trios, some decent looking IWRG
  14. Eric did a long review of the Escorpion v. Porky trios on Segunda Caida
  15. Porky and Escorpion are having a Super Libre hair match in a couple of weeks which will be awesome
  16. Máximo, Stuka Jr. & Super Porky vs. Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora & Rey Escorpión- 10/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcGVSlXFIb8 Man was this awesome. Escorpion mugs Porky and beats the piss out of him, and when Porky comes back he just brutally beats Escopion, it was almost FUTEN level right hands to the face. Man I am happy to see Porky back and whopping ass, one of my favorite guys ever and I figured he was completely done, but man he is a violent fucker here. Between this and Rush v. Casas CMLL has the best brawling in the world. Is there other Porky v. Escorpion stuff I should see?
  17. Virus v. Guerrero Maya Jr. Showed up a bit early and this is a tremendous match and one of the top matches in lucha this year. I loved the opening fall with both guys battling over standing positions, a cool matworky second fall and a third fall where they lay it out. Virus is truly amazing, just a master of wrestling.
  18. Cubsfan post www.luchablog.com Youtube playlist http://www.youtube.com/playlist?feature=edit_ok&list=PL2I0JwI23A_VuiWSeHg2zqiuqq3NXKqkR
  19. Guerrero Maya Jr. v. Virus 9/29http://youtu.be/rLjYQZmu54gReally fun lightening match with Virus looking like one of the best of the world and Maya keeping up. Virus had some awesome counters here including a leglock thing which was totally sweet. Only about 7 minutes, but a hell of a WCW Pro lucha match
  20. Blog post http://www.thecubsfan.com/cmll/?p=29070 Youtube page http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2I0JwI23A_W-q2znTscPB86O_yUGqTID Virus v. Maya in a lightning match and Black Terry bleeding seem to be the on paper highlights. Get at it and let us know
  21. This was a match I remember liking a lot when I originally watched it that didn't particularly hold up on rewatch. It was a one man show with Corleone looking awesome and Canek looking pretty bad. Corleone had a very Greg Valentine feel where e made the simplest things look really violent, Canek didn't hold up his end as his stuff looked awkward including some really bad in ring bumps. Small sample size and all but I think Canek might have sucked
