  1. Movies today.... Songs of Earth (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 4/5 stars Tonsler Park (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 2.5/5 stars This House / Cette maison (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 2.5/5 stars Drop (saw in the theaters) - 4/5 stars The Luckiest Man in the America (saw in the theaters) - 3/5 stars
  2. Julie & Julia maybe but it's French cuisine so I'm not sure if you're up for that or not. For me, it's Office Space or Taxi Driver. I had a New York style eclair while watching Taxi Driver, so it's imprinted into my brain now.
  3. I'm excited for this and probably most of the DVDVR Film Freaks are too.
  4. I'm excited for this and probably most of the DVDVR Film Freaks (thanks for the name J.H.) are too.
  5. I'll watch Silverado this month before it leaves Netflix. Movies today.... I Met Him In Paris (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 2/5 stars The Linguini Incident (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 2/5 stars Frankie And Johnny (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 4/5 stars Bluebeard's Eighth Wife (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 3.5/5 stars Torch Singer (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 4/5 stars Shakedown (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 2/5 stars
  6. I saw Misericordia about a week or so ago. It sorta fell flat to me (despite Cahier du Cinema saying it was their best movie from last year). I'll likely get the Blu Ray and watch Stranger By The Lake that's on the Criterion Channel now.
  7. Jared Leto looks very Morbius in the trailer, which makes me hope the movie will be better than what I fear it will be. Yet I'm prepared for it to be a raging dumpster fire.
  8. You must realize that I (probably) will watch anything. Movies today....not as much as usual due to waking up early to move boxes to a storage unit. Chilly Scenes of Winter (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 5/5 stars Freaky Tales (saw in the theaters) - 5/5 stars Crossing Delancey (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 5/5 stars
  9. I'm seeing this movie on Tuesday but I was told I should have seen it on opening night with Minecraft fans wigging out over everything
  10. Alfred Molina is a national treasure but okay if it's Statham I can live with it. I now want a Smokey & The Bandit remake with Jason Statham as the Bandit.
  11. Movies today....had to do adulting. It took too damn long. The Friend (saw in the theaters) - 4.5/5 stars Hell of a Summer (saw in the theaters) - 3/5 stars The Innocent (Mubi, leaving on 4/6) - no rating The Watchmaker of St. Paul / The Clockmaker of St. Paul / The Clockmaker (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 3.5/5 stars
  12. The Odd Couple with Jason Statham would have my fuckin money.
  13. Can't wait for Jason Statham to do the sequel, Our Mutual Friend.
  14. I'm surprised that The Bicentennial Man and RV hasn't come up yet about Robin Williams movies.
  15. Only watched one movie today. Had a lot of work stuff and offline stuff. Crap, I missed out on Draft Day last month. The Killing of a Sacred Deer (Max, leaving on 4/30) - 4/5 stars
  16. I found Moscow on the Hudson remotely watchable. *ducks as J.H. throws tomatoes at me*
  17. Movies today....had to do a lot of stuff offline today. Trash Humpers (Criterion Channel, leaving on 4/30) - 5/5 stars Screamboat (saw in the theaters) - 1.5/5 stars
  18. Sooner or later, I'll be watching Buffalo '66 (but not on DVD).
  19. Movies today....not as much as usual due to work stuff. Rose Plays Julie (Mubi, leaving on 4/6) - 3.5/5 stars Megan Leavey (Netflix, leaving on 4/7) - 4/5 stars
  20. Movies today. I didn't get done with Missing In Action 2 and 3. Molly's Game (Netflix, leaving on 3/31) - 4/5 stars Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri (Hulu, leaving on 3/31) - 3/5 stars The Woman in the Yard (saw in the theaters) - 2/5 stars ear for eye (Criterion Channel, leaving on 3/31) - 5/5 stars
  21. Russ Meyer and Roger Corman and Roger Vadim all day, all the time on BUBI.
  22. Movies today.... Barbarian (Hulu, leaving on 3/31) - 3.5/5 stars The Greatest Showman (Hulu, leaving on 3/31) - 4/5 stars Death of A Unicorn (saw in the theaters) - 3.5/5 stars Marvelous and the Black Hole (Peacock, leaving on 3/31) - 2/5 stars The Nice Guys (Netflix, leaving on 3/31) - 3/5 stars
  23. I saw Lawrence of Arabia in cinemas but ended up missing being able to see it in 70mm (maybe next time). Beyond that, I would want to see 2001: A Space Odyssey in 70mm. I saw Vertigo in 70mm and Rear Window in theaters last year. I may try for North By Northwest in 70mm at some point.
  24. Silly me for trying to be logical with a Chuck Norris movie. He didn't need a disguise. Part of me hopes someone remakes Missing in Action and actually make it an international espionage/spy thriller. It could work.
  25. M. Emmett Walsh wasn't in it long enough for me to have an impact. But OK yeah, he was 5 stars too. There's two other Missing In Action movies on Max, but I'm not going to spend the last two days of the month watching those. If I have enough time today and tomorrow, maybe.
