  1. I know when to take the L and leave I suggest you learn to do the same
  2. Guess who's looking for attention again...
  3. Ospreay destroying Jericho in 30 seconds and calling out Kenny is the only acceptable outcome here
  4. Yes, with the caveat that he actually paid someone to keep track of the storylines and go around the crowd during shows to explain things to fans who got confused. I'm blanking on the guy's name.
  5. Treat it like episodic TV and have a new "director" every week who serves as guest booker Tony gives them the bullet points they have to hit - but how they get where they need to go is up to the director I remember Steve Corino was brought in to book a month's work of WWECW shows at one point as a tryout and they were really good. Bring in Russo to book Dynamite and bring in Cornette to book Collision at the same time Tony wastes money by stacking his roster for no reason when he could be having much more fun
  6. Your default position to everything is "The Elite and their billionaire employer are victims, actually" and you work backwards from there Cute gimmick
  7. If I told you how Smart Mark Video made their money, your mind would totally be blown bro Promoters who are too cheap to invest in their own promoters' license and video production generally pay someone else to use theirs
  8. The way Tony Khan tells it, The Elite knew AEW was coming months in advance and could have given ROH/NJPW a heads-up instead of piggybacking off their infrastructure and then skipping town on both companies at the end of 2018 Unless you wanted them to cancel All In and reschedule it for 2019 as an AEW production, I'm not sure what you would have expected ROH contracted talents to have done differently
  9. Bucks and the women's division continue to be ratings poison. Q1: Jericho Appreciation Society segment – 892,000 viewers, 354,000 in 18-49 Q2: Jericho & Don Calls segment/The Young Bucks vs. The Hardys – 839,000 viewers (down 53,000), 339,000 in 18-49 (down 15,000) Q3: The Young Bucks & FTR segment/Adam Cole & MJF segment/Blackpool Combat Club promo – 805,000 viewers (down 34,000), 347,000 in 18-49 (up 8,000) Q4: Rob Van Dam vs. Jack Perry – 861,000 viewers (up 56,000), 371,000 in 18-49 (up 24,000) Q5: MJF & Adam Cole segment – 889,000 viewers (up 28,000), 425,000 in 18-49 (up 54,000) Q6: Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Lucha Bros – 844,000 viewers (down 45,000), 399,000 in 18-49 (down 26,000) Q7: End of BCC vs. Lucha Bros/Kenny Omega promo/Swerve Strickland, AR Fox, Darby Allin & Sting segment – 850,000 viewers (up 6,000), 395,000 in 18-49 (down 4,000) Q8: Anna Jay vs. Hikaru Shida – 790,000 viewers (down 60,000), 355,000 in 18-49 (down 40,000)
  10. I, for one, am shocked that the unsightly man who shit his pants at a wrestling show and has devoted his life to ruining Dave Meltzer is extrapolating a hate-crime from a proposed wrestling finish to try and tarnish Meltzer's staff
  11. TNA's dime-store Forbidden Door is looking more fun than All In at this point
  12. Yeah I think Mercedes was a big "wait and see" - last I heard she was still walking with a boot on her leg Not that I wanted to see Mercedes vs. Saraya at Wembley, but at least it would have made sense
  13. "MJF and Cole wanted to have a banger tag match before they broke up" It's understandable, but putting it on at the last-minute is telegraphing the turn
  14. Originally with all the New Japan guys flying into America for the ECW Arena shows next weekend, my first thought a couple months ago was "oh cool- they'll all work Dynamite and then fly out to Wembley with the AEW crew" Now I'm not so sure - seems like other than Ospreay/Shingo/Ishii/Finlay/Phantasmo/Shibata already being in London for RevPro the night before All In..that might be it for New Japan cooperation
  15. I think RVD historically doesn't fuck with the guardrails because that's a lucha thing - I remember Rey and Psychosis in ECW started the "pull the guardrails right up to the ring apron so when you dive into the crowd it looks impressive, but you don't actually have to exert much effort" trend Rob taking a "play the hand I'm given" approach with the ringside environment is much more commendable
  16. Perry Lynn vs. Rob Van Dam in a Stretcher Match at Wembley?
  17. Marty seems to have the Scott Hall "I accidentally killed a guy and the guilt ate away at me, so I numbed the pain" thing going on Glad to see he's getting his ankle taken care of - from the previews I thought he was going to be permanently wheelchair-bound
  18. Why do parents take their kids to NFL preseason games (tickets are dirt cheap and they couldn't afford the experience otherwise) Get-in price for the Jaguars game at Wembley the week after All In is $100
  19. By a single metric - and that's largely because with $30 tickets it's going to draw a lot of casual fans who wouldn't normally be able to afford going to any event at Wembley Which is why I suggested booking Davey Boy Smith Jr. so the large chunk of the crowd who doesn't watch AEW can go "oh, I remember his dad!"
