  1. ROH booker? Hero's been booking West Coast Pro the past few months
  2. When you work with music instructors, one of the first things they do is ask what your favorite song is. When learning an instrument, it's easier for someone to pick up on things when they're striving to play a song they know. Passion for your craft is important. Otherwise it's just labor.
  3. Making a big deal out of it when NBA has a blanket music license on the same network and regularly uses pop songs to come in and out of breaks is kinda silly Kinda surprised Tony hasn't tried leveraging the Jags stadium licensing to use pop music on-air. I forget the exact circumstances, but while ECW was in operation Paul Heyman funded a local-access music video show in New York so that if any of the record companies came after him for nonpayment, he had that defense to fall back on.
  4. Counterpoint: Tony could have licensed the WCW Nitro theme for $100 and used the rest of the money to license "Final Countdown" for Danielson
  5. Not that I'm a Nickelback fan by any means, but they did a great cover of the song years ago that would fit much better:
  6. UFC prelims, as that chart shows, usually get around 700,000 viewers on cable - and UFC Fight Night cards have recently averaged around 1 million If Collision can't beat either of those, they're in for a bad time since UFC runs every Saturday night: https://www.espn.com/mma/schedule/_/league/ufc
  7. Might just be the Tony Hawk fan in me, but I feel this would have been more appropriate:
  8. There's 145 pre-1970 matches recommended on Cagematch, so that's probably a good start: https://www.cagematch.net/?id=111&view=list&s=71200
  9. Mickey Thomas is 73 and still sounds like a million bucks - AEW should absolutely bring him in for a live entrance
  10. There's ways to analyze wrestling other than 2,000-word analogies about combat sports, friend
  11. I think it's possible the Four Pillars being jammed down everyone's throats the past few months is Tony's guilt manifesting itself right before he forsakes his homegrown talent
  12. I had to look it up, but "Great Balls of Fire" was 60 years old when WWE used it in 2017.
  13. I'd like to think that came about because the WM21 theme was "Big Time" by Soundtrack Of Our Lives, and enough people must have joked "hey this isn't the Peter Gabriel song!" that Vince begrudgingly caved the following year
  14. Dixie Carter ran back Styles vs. Joe vs. Daniels as a PPV main event right before Hogan and Bischoff took over TNA Daniels was a jobber 2 months later
  15. We were just talking in the General thread about how HHH earned his stripes by being a bag carrier for The Kliq - you've gotta wonder how much of Hangman's original animosity towards Punk was just him repeating whatever the Bucks put in his head since he was their Young Boy for a few years and is loyal to them. Hunter was smart enough to realize hanging around Shawn and Nash was a stepping stone, but I'm not sure if Hangman has intentions to ever leave the gravy train behind.
  16. I was like 95% sure he'd just use the original Nitro theme since that's production music
  17. It reminds me of Punk's lone match in CZW against Justice Pain, which is objectively a good match - but since Pain felt overshadowed and lied to Zandig to get Punk fired, Punk has been burying it ever since
  18. You had me until "Jim Ross" And since they're doubling up Collision and ROH tapings, I wonder if this means Ian is on the way out
  19. Bucks dropping the tag titles to Swerve in Our Glory led to the rise of The Acclaimed, but really they only did that to avoid dropping the belts to FTR like they should have
