things I remember from this episode of Dynamite Matt Hardy gets some offense in on Jack Perry, eventually Hook shows up, and Jack Perry wins a chance to have a long micwork segment with MJF BCC just beats down Dalton/Boys then BCC beats down Adam Page and Don Callis then Kenny Omega faces Jeff Cobb. Cobb looks like a mix of Rhyno and Chumlee from Pawn Stars. The feat of strength at the end got an impressive pop. Then BCC shows up to attack Kenny, and Daniel Bryan comes out to turn heel and beat down Kenny too. Of course, BCC might not get booed enough to officially be heels. Orange Cassidy and The Butcher went on and on. Eventually Orange's lower card friends had to help deal with Blade/Butcher. Butcher has the look of a guy who was a biker gang rival of Bruiser Bedlam. But it's still hard to buy the Butcher as any sort of threat to win a title. Felt like the first hour had a lot more stuff happening than the second hour. Willow vs Ruby was fun. Then there was a heel beat down that was stopped by Hayter FTR/Gunns next week! Other stuff next week! Adam Cole wins the match, but he might be trapped on Jericho Island soon. Also, celebratory stuff in the ring and since there's a new show on after Dynamite, Adam and Britt can be on TV together. AEW felt very heel heavy this week even with the return of Adam Cole.

Later on the Star got one of the stories about Tommy being an HIV/AIDS denialist as he was dying because of HIV/AIDS. I think Tommy was the last solid attempt at the "he's a white heavyweight" thing before all the white heavyweights became boring European dudes.

Note about the "continuing saga of why Miro isn't doing anything": It kinda feels like the people posting online blaming Lana for the whole thing falls into the whole "it's the woman's fault that this guy is acting like this" trope. Like he wouldn't have such an ego if not for that blonde devil woman. Reading the Wikipedia description does make the AEW Miro stint sound uninteresting.

The 'fun' part about a team getting Harper back in June-ish is that they can sell that as being sorta like a mid-season acquisition if the team is in a spot where they need something after the first 2 months. Meanwhile in KC, Zack Greinke starts opening day, which isn't too surprising and Brady Singer spending time at the WBC where he didn't pitch after the Mexico game probably put him offschedule to start an opening day. I'd say a certain amount of the 2023 Royals is a test of how much of a positive change happens when you fire Mike Matheny and Cal Eldred and hire a new manager/pitching coach who have experience with Tampa Bay/Cleveland.

Yeah I had heard that Harper was starting the year on the IL but I didn’t know how long he’d be there. Also since this is a baseball roster and you don’t have to make a move until you have to make a move, Harper’s not on the IL right now so when that comes, it opens a slot for someone to be on the 26 or 40 man roster
