  1. Same. Part of why I got the package I did was so I could DVR Impact on Pop so now im pissed.
  2. Thanks for the background. Sorry people make shit tougher for you.
  3. Legit didn't know that was a pejorative. I have a friend who has a (semi-secret) preference for those types of ladies and hes the only one I've ever heard use it, but I thought it was just like.. for lack of a better word, a porno term. I'm not sure if I've ever used it here or not over the years but sorry if I did
  4. We are like one day from Raw and if Vince himself has any idea what he's going to say I'd be shocked
  5. Theres such a swift drop off at a certain point with both women's divisions. It almost makes me wish that rather than have a Raw and SD women's champion, that you had a women's world, IC/us and tag titles that worked both shows. It would be so much easier to groom a greener talent (or rebuild a stale talent) for a larger role with that setup IMO
  6. Yo what about a Joe/Owens tag team or a Joe/Owens/(AOP or Bludegon Bros) stable?
  7. It's a very cool finish you've come up with, but I'm not sure I personally want to see that match. My butthole would be too clenched waiting for something awful to happen. If hypothetically Flair actually can somehow take a bump, which let's be clear, he shouldn't, then i think the smart move would be to have him do something real simple like eat a few punches from Becky after running out to help Charlotte or something. But knowing he himself said it, it's probably bullshit. He's been saying that since he retired. Lawler and Steamboat almost died in a WWE ring in their 60s, so I just don't see any of this going down.
  8. I have not liked a set of tag belts since the 2002 SmackDown tags, which I really only liked because they were kind of a modern update on the far superior Reggie Parks versions. Ah that makes sense. I'm out of the loop
  9. lol what?! What doctor would clear a 70 year old who was just shitting in a bag like last year? I mean I love Ric Flair and take nothing away from him but come on
  10. They're doing nothing with sanity right? That would be a pretty good pairing. Like it sucks I think the best thing for him is just a Wyatt family redux but they cannot handle booking him as a solo act even when he was WWE champion. Especially when he was WWE champion, actually.
  11. Saaaame. What did his wife say to you guys?
  12. While I agree Miller floundered for a bit without Onoo, I have to completely unironically say that Commissioner Cat was probably one of the highlights of 2000 WCW.
  13. Yeah that was in the ESPN article too and I thought was very kind of her to say she's cool with it and to give him a second chance, even if he probably doesn't deserve it. I just think it's kinda messed up they potentially put her in an uncomfortable situation by asking. It's his debut, it's very high profile. And look: I'm not even saying that Hardy doesn't deserve to fight. What he did to that poor woman was awful but it's been five years and I have no idea what his deal is now. I'm just saying that it's insensitive and tone deaf on UFCs part. Not trying to speak for Rachael or anyone else possibly offended or affected by it.
  14. Yeah thats some rough optics, regardless of whether they spoke to her. For those who don't follow MMA: UFC booked ex Dallas Cowboy Greg Hardy who had a pretty brutal domestic violence arrest, if I'm not mistaken he had pushed his girlfriend down onto a couch covered in a huge pile of various rifles. On the same show was a fighter named Rachael Ostovich who had unfortunately just recently become a victim of domestic violence herself. Dana White claimed on ESPN they consulted her before booking him but still dude what are you thinking
  15. Man, really sorry to hear that about Big Cass. Whatever I've said about him, no one deserves that. And I'm not sure how I feel about whoever took the photo of him down on the ground. On the one hand, it seems kind of scummy to me. On the other, I think about all the things I don't really know journalism ethics and the question of whether that photo is or isn't newsworthy. Sure that guys (probably) not a journalist but I think their rules are probably at the very least a good baseline measure here. I don't know. I just feel bad.
  16. Them and Iwrestledabearonce were both immense let downs to me
  17. I remember reading somewhere that before the switch from Eastern to Extreme, Paul E wanted to change it to "Extreme Combat Worldwide" which I thought was really freakin cool I forgot all about that but I really enjoyed watching when all the Nitros went up on the network for the first time. It's kind of a trip sometimes watching the early episodes and seeing guys like Orndorff, RNR express, and the Road Warriors that you don't normally associate with Nitro
  18. I want to hear that stuff so bad. I was hoping 13 would at least include a studio version of Scary Dreams (I've been wearing out that bootleg for like 18 years now). In the end, I did love 13 though. Not as much as The Devil You Know but with Iommi being ill and the Bill Ward drama and Ozzy being Ozzy, I thought it was a good note to go out on. If anything, at least I got to see Ozzy live with Zakk in 2001 in sort of a butterfly effect kind of way because of this since it was during the recording of Down to Earth that he parted ways w Joe Holmes. Really wanna catch them on this No More Tours 2 but tickets are insanely expensive and both mine and my girlfriend's cars just died so I'm just giving Uber all my money right now
  19. Im an indecisive asshole so I've got a bunch of picks. This year was thin IMO but I really liked: Caliban - Elements Halcyon Way - Bloody But Unloved Khemmis - Desolation. Sleep - Sciences, as noted, was killer too. I'm also trying to get into Striker - Play to Win but I'm only into a hand full of songs. Also wanna give a shout to Bleeding Through - Love Will Kill All and Pallbearer - Run Like Hell.
  20. How are you guys feeling about the name AEW by the way? Im not in love with it as an acronym but if they just call it "All Elite Wrestling" much in the same way as Evolve or Impact then I'd be cool with it
  21. Totally agree with you. That's kind of why I think it sucks if they keep the roster split. I read a report (can't remember where, may not even be true) that Fox wanted to keep the split so as not to promote the same stars as the NBCU networks. I guess I get it from their perspective, but if I'm WWE, I'd want all hands on deck for this thing.
  22. This is an interesting thing I think about once in a while: ECW on TNN used to get those kinds of numbers at a time where there were tons more cable viewers, and the wrestling business was much hotter in general. Then TNA got similar numbers for years on the very same network when people were cutting cable left and right, and DVRs, torrenting (maybe not so much streaming yet) and spoilers are all over the place. I'm not sure what it means, but with all the different streaming services out there, I'm just not convinced TV matters as much as it once would have for a start-up wrestling company.
  23. "SO HE CALLS ME AND SAYS, GUESS WHAT VINCE? IM IN THE RASSLIN BUSINESS. I SAID, THATS GREAT, TED, I...wait, what?"
  24. True, I can't argue with you on that one. I'm just saying, for all we know that might be a company thing
