  1. Her gimmick is her crazed, obsessive devotion to Lyra.
  2. Dijak/Gacy was fun. Surprised to see Dijak win again though Gacy is probably fine with it given his current gimmick. Wolf Dogs vs. Chase U was good as expected. Chase and DUke have been one of NXT's better teams the past year or two while Bron and Corbin seem to only get better as a team each match. Spears's squash was interesting as a character moment. Same with the post match attack from Holland. I kind of like the idea of a corrupting figure in NXT. Not sure if Spears is the guy for the job, but he is doing ok so far. Lyra/Tatum vs. Kabuki Warriors was good. Was nice seeing Asuka, Kairi, Tatum work a slower pace and get to showcase more of what they are capable of. The post match attack from Roxanne cemented her heel turn. I still think its the wrong direction to go as I don't think Lyra has enough to her as a personality to get cheered over Roxanne, but maybe a smarkier crowd will give her better reactions at Stand and Deliver. Blair/Fallon was nice while it lasted. Biggest thing here was the finish with Sol Ruca's return. Would have preferred Blair won and was attacked post match. The NQCC announcing their intentions for the tag titles and to basically treat everything with Freebird rules was neat to hear. Was even nice to see Regal interact with him. Loved the smirk he had when Charlie claimed he would defend the Heritage Cup better than Regal could have. Will be interesting to see how much Regal interacts with his son and the rest of NQCC. Arianna Grace's segment with Ava and Gigi to set up next week's match was fun. Grace continues to be one of the small joys that always perks up my mood in NXT. She is all character, and I'm totally fine with that. Hope she wins as I feel like her trying to change Gigi can lead to see fun dumb moments. Melo/Tony was good. Trick's post match attack was expected and welcomed. Solid show with some nice matches and segments. Stand & Deliver is taking decent shape with the tag tourney for the nxt title shot, Ilja/Tony set, and Trick/Melo and Lyra/Roxanne getting strong builds for the show.
  3. Saw the thing about one of Sting's sons being a Destiny player elsewhere. That is kind of neat. The PvP changes are noticeable though not terrible outside of something like Supremacy where I think people can get their abilities back faster than normal. One thing GG made so obvious last year and continues to do this year is the absolute bullshit that is whatever balance tuning they have for classes as Titans and Warlocks get their abilities back a lot faster and are noticeably stronger than Hunters in PvP. The lack of matched mobility in particular is still such tremendous bullshit that continues to astonish me at how Bungie has been ok with this for years now. Some of the PvP sandbox changes feel like they affected PvE as well with less forgiveness for making crits. Not a big deal with how powerful players are but it wasn't mentioned it would be affecting us in PvE as well. The hoverboard is neat though I'm not exactly someone who can take full advantage of it.
  4. Seth is lame, but he has entered that weird space where he can strangely afford to be. He will never match well with the Rock. He just isn't on that level as a talker in general. He was always the worst of the Shield in that regard. But he also won't be so badly destroyed he can never rise again as his fans are his fans at this point. All he has to do is mention his song and the fans will sing.
  5. The Seth/Cody segment was fine. It did its job well enough hough Seth came off rather lame in his attacks on the Rock. Cody came off better, but it probably helps that Cody gives off a slightly more mature feel than both Seth and Rock. Gunther/Dom was insanely fun for me. Dom kept flying way too close to the sun and was murdered for it multiple times. Gunther being an automatic face to the crowd simply due to Dom being in the ring was great to see. KC Squared vs. Shayna/Zoey was an ok showcase for the KCs and set up for Kabuki Warriors defending against Shayna and Zoy next week. Becky/Nia was pretty good once again even with another screwy finish via Liv interference. The finish made sense given Becky's similar interference last week. It worked though it would be nice to see one of these end clean or at least properly. Another good performance from Nia. She has surprisingly been delivering this run. Will be interesting to see if they try to find her and Liv a spot on Wrestlemania with how much they have been kept in the loop post EC. Feels like both are continuing to build decent momentum even with their losses. Andrade/Crews was an ok squash and showcase for Andrade. Priest/Balor vs. Kaiser/Vinci built into something good. Was particularly interesting to see the crowd starting from a point of confusion at who to cheer for to being completely behind Judgement Day as the match went on. Good victory for Priest and Balor. Sami/Ivar was the fine match one would expect between them. The two have good chemistry and got the crowd into the match a good deal. Was good to seeing Sami get the win to continue his momentum build for Wrestlemania. Still not sure what he ends up with as I'm not convinced anyone but Gable should be facing Gunther there. Was amusing to see Valhalla give the antlers to Cole. Jey/Drew was good though had the predictable ending we've come to expect. Still made for some nice drama with the Bloodline and Drew broughts things back to himself with the final attack on Seth. Quite a few good matches worth watching here and some solid segments building to Wrestlemania and beyond. Was nice to see the women get some extra attention. Segments like backstage scene with all the Raw women's tag teams was decent and something that should happen more often to further flesh out personalities. Also dug the post match scene with Becky and Liv to build their match for next week. Pretty solid show. Raw length is the only thign really keeping me from calling it good. Really hope they end the third hour when the Netflix move happens next year.
  6. Pretty Deadly, Axiom, Fyre/Ray, and Frazer were moved over to the main NXT before NXT UK died. Don't recall release news for any of those names. Dar in particular I think may have just been injured.
  7. Who was signed back immediately? Pretty sure they just never actually released everyone as there were plans for the NXT Europe expansion that never happened. The point was more that Mariah wasn't really someone anyone was looking at while Schala was there. It was her Stardom run that got her noticed. I would be surprised if she wasn't at least looked at last year, if not given an offer.
  8. NXT UK was dead by the time Mariah went to Stardom.
  9. That Rock promo was great, even better than the first one he did a few weeks back and set up the Night 1 tag perfectly. Happy they gave the match some stakes as well. Roman's part at the end was perfect in both aligning the Rock fully yet also setting a good breaking point for both if/when things go wrong at Wrestlemania and Cody wins. Naomi/Tiffany was fun and a nice showcase for Naomi. Bayley/Dakota vs. Kabuki Warriors was the setup everyone knew was coming but was also completely necessary and well done. DC needed a win over Bayley to get some extra cred going into Wrestlemania. This was the biggest and best response the group has had in months. The backstage staredown with Jade was interesting. Curious to see if that is a post Wrestlemania thing or if Jade maybe teams with some other Smackdown women to take on Asuka, Kairi, and Dakota at Wrestlemania. Carlito/Santos was decent and a good return for Rey. The win over Santos makes sense though I have to admit I was hoping Santos would win to set up a Wrestlemania match between him and Rey. Who knows, maybe we get a big mixed tag though that feels more like where things are heading Final Testament and Lashley/Profits/B-Fab. Orton/Theory was fun, especially with Owen's reactions on commentary and how everyone played with them. Nothing special match wise though nothing bad either. This felt more like a show for building angles for Wrestlemania and maybe even post-Mania. As much as I wish there was a standout match it was still pretty fun.
  10. They have appeared in segments and Zelina's matches.
  11. Have to admit those updates for Guardian Games sound pretty good all around. The hoverboard is a particularly neat addition.
  12. I mostly remember him from Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
  13. I feel like they won't go the multiman match way other than maybe to decide who challenges Gunther. Right now they are just putting forward multiple names to keep people guessing.

  15. Dug Kelani/Kiana. The two had solid chemistry and busted out some neat things. Good Brothers vs. Blade/Enofe was a decent showcase for the latter before the Magic Killer ended things. Roxanne/Jakara was decent. Was nice to see Jackson on her own in the ring. Feels like we haven't really gotten a decent idea of what she is capable of in her tags with Lash. Dijak/Luca was surprisingly decent. This was easily the best Luca has looked in NXT. Lyra & Tatum getting to challenge for the tag titles feels a bit too random for my tastes on the win/loss side, but I also don't hate it since it should be good. The Ridge Interruption and return of Spears was a surprise. Not really into it, but I have never been super fond of Spears. King/Wagner was fine. Gigi/Jaida was better than expected. Feels like Gigi has finally started to improve the last couple of months which makes her loss here a bit annoying. Jaida has potential but not enough to justify beating Gigi here. Not entirely sure of where things are going with Grace's interference here, but I continue to enjoy her ridiculousness. Dar/Dempsey was good. Loved all the mat and hold work and the falls were done. This felt like the best Heritage Cup match in a while from a style standpoint. Only wish it went one round more. Glad to see Dempsey take home the win. I would like to see Dar move on to the NA or NXT title, maybe let Oro aim for the Heritage Cup. The final segment with Melo and Ilja was going well enough and then turned a little higher with Tony D coming out and throwing a wrench in Melo's plans. Melo still finding a way to be the last man standing at the end was neat and the right call. Will be interesting to see how things go next week. Matches were mostly decent if nothing special though I thought the Heritage Cup match was MOTN and well worth catching. Decent show. I like the Roadblock card. Still not sure how things go for Stand and Deliver.
  16. Rhea and Becky's segment was solid. The Nia interference was expected and a good setup for Becky/Nia II as something to kill time and give Becky a strong win. Sami/Nakamura was good once again. Raquel/Chelsea was a nice little squash/showcase of both women's strengths. The Imperium/Judgement Day segment was alright. Kind of love Dom throwing out the challenge and Gunther's and Rhea's reactions to the idea. Will be fun to see how the IC challenger is decided. Feels like they are setting up a decent amount of potential challengers right now. New Day/Imperium was good fun and a nice needed victory for Imperium. Indi/Candice vs. Shayna/Zoey was fine. Drew and Seth's segment was decent. Always fun to see Drew be such a bastard to Punk and others. Nia/Liv was far better than expected with the two having surprisingly good chemistry. Only a shame it ended in bs with Becky's attack though it made sense given Nia's earlier assault in the opening Cody/Waller was solid. The post match with Heyman and his goons was rather nice and a great hero moment for Cody with him not taking any shit anymore. Love how he didn't indulge Heyman at all at the end. Raw is always too long, but there was a decent amount of solid-good matches and segments here. Sami/Nakamura, Liv/Nia, and the New Day/Imperium street fight were the particular standouts here and well worth catching. Pretty solid show.
  17. Its good to see the top matches already decided. Just hope the rest of the card gets some decent build with the time left. Will be interesting to see what they do with Gunther. Kind of hoping Gable wins the belt off of him.
  18. Unless its an injury issue I'm not too worried about Becky. She looked mostly solid-good during her NXT title run just a few months back. I feel like she will step it up against Rhea.
  19. The potential heel turn is only a recent thing, and they likely haven't gone all in because Roxanne is the most over woman outside of the CWC. Even the audience there is still mostly positive towards her. At this point its probably best to leave her with some edge and turn someone else.
  20. Surprised they didn't just use the British Strong Style name again since they were using it for NXT UK. I thought Liv's matches against Carmella and Becky a few years back were decently good. She just seemed to regress when she became champ. No idea if that was because of Rousey and/or injuries, but she has looked a decent bit better upon in this latest return. A big Wrestlemania match mainly wouldn't make sense for her because she has no momentum. Guessing Stratton moved up first because they wanted a heel and they want to make sure NXT still has good talent around to lead the the newer crop for a while.
  21. Dug the Women's Chamber match. Thought everyone had a nice showing. Was surprised at how over Tiffany was. I don't think any level of booking would have made her heel here outside of eliminating Becky in some super underhanded way. Bate/Dunne vs. Finn/Priest built into a pretty good match. I think this was one of Priest and Balor's better showings as a team. Men's Chamber match seemed solid though it didn't quite draw my interest in as much as the women did. Did think the eliminations were generally well handled and it feels like they set up at least one or two other matches for Wrestlemania outside of the World title match. Rhea/Nia was good. Nia looked good as a powerhouse, and I liked Rhea switching things up a bit to deal with monster like Nia. Was neat seeing both women bust out new things for the occasion. All the matches delivered on some level so a generally good show. Won't say anything was great, but its was all worth catching.
  22. Liv/Tiffany was solid. Thought Tiffany could have gotten a little more in, but this felt like a better showcase for her than the Zelina match from last week. Bron had a decent, quick squash of Dante Chen. Bate/Dunne vs. Dom/JD was pretty good as expected. Everyone here has good chemistry and it was hard to not find Bate's joy a bit infectious in the first half. The post match with Bate and Dunne getting one over Judgement Day was nice to see. AoP vs. Street Profits built into a pretty solid match. Was good to see these groups finally have a proper match. The late interference worked well and keep the Profits looking good even in loss. Dakota being mysteriously injured and finally reuniting with Bayley is an obvious ploy for murder by Damage Ctrl next week, but I hope they surprise us with Kai being legit behind Bayley. Knight/Drew seemed like a good match, but it was hard not to be distracted by the commentary with Owens and Paul around. The ending more or less went about expected with it being the last show before a PLE. Orton standing tall among the EC participants was a good call though it seems like anyone but Drew winning later tonight/tomorrow would make no sense. All of the matches were solid at worst and pretty enjoyable. The Bate/Dunne tag was MOTN. The segments were decent and did some solid building for EC and next week. Pretty solid show all around.
  23. Just saw Cross's vid on this since he and his team tend to do a little more digging. The program absolutely can be used with Destiny or any game, and regardless of the specifics Cruz violated Bungie's TOS about running cheat programs during D2. It doesn't matter if they are applied to Destiny or not, you're not really allowed to run them while Destiny is active on your machine. Also he did try to appeal his ban and they replied so he did talk to the company. His appeal just failed. If his claims are legit I do think the perma-ban is harsh, but its also something that was warned of well in advance via the TOS. It sucks, but I don't really think its a rally against the company moment.
  24. Today's TWID/TWAB was the big one from the PvP Strike Team. There was a bunch of stuff about sandbox changes for balance, changing spawn points, matchmaking, etc. The more tangible stuff was the mention of the new maps coming in May, artifice armor as a reward from the Competitive playlist, and more rewards in Trials, including a new Passage that will allow for Adept weapon without going Flawless. With how Trials has been I'm not bothered by the last change. Competitive is technically the endgame for PvP at this point. The Prophecy Dungeon is also getting updated finally with 3 weapons getting switched out and an origin trait getting added alongside new perk pools. All the weapons are changing damage types as well.
