  1. So be completely clear, because it didn't come out well with the Twitter character limit: I was not criticizing his Twitter formatting, because yeah, of course that would be weird, but yeah, it did kind of come out that way. I was explaining that tweeting... ...to ALL OF HIS FOLLOWERS as his reply was going to be taken wildly out of context by the vast majority of them since they aren't clicking through to see the context. Odds are (and the tweets I got immediately proved this at least partially correct) they now thought I was some guy that wrote some badly researched hit piece about him and not just someone who tweeted: That was the problem.
  2. I'm still not sure.
  3. The original manuscript was 1500 pages. He wanted to release it in 3 parts. The e-book market is made for stuff like this. Yeah, it needs heavy editing, but it's easy money from then on.
  4. Wasn't there a long-time rumor that the snap shackle wasn't even one meant for this sort of thing, that it was supposed to be used as a harness on sailboats or something like that? That's exactly what it was, but since the manufacturer was aware of its use in stuntwork and issued an advisory about it (I'd have to check if they explicitly marketed it for that use), it was a fairly easy to get a settlement.
  5. It's also complete bullshit. Everything came out in the lawsuit: Vince didn't like how long it took Owen to get out of the harness on TV so he asked if they could get someone who would use a quick release of some kind. The usual rigger said no, it's too dangerous. Worried that they'd find someone who would do it, he asked his assistant to offer to do it the safer way at cost. WWE turned HIM down and found a rigger who would use a quick release snap shackle. WWE effectively had to pay nothing in the settlement because what wasn't covered by insurance was paid for by their own lawsuit against the snap shackle company (they marketed it for stunt use even though it wasn't safe/approved).
  6. Thanks, but it just takes me to a page with a bunch of random programming code-text and nothing that actually works. It's a RSS feed. You have to use a RSS reader (add it to iTunes if necessary but I believe it's already listed there, use another podcatcher, or used some other kind of RSS reader) if your browser doesn't have one built in. This link (on Feedly) should work if you just want something web based.
  7. There's an RSS feed of the free shows.
  8. I'm getting a review copy of EA Sports UFC. As with most titles nowadays it's a release day embargo, but is there any minutiae anyone wants me to try to look for that I might not think of myself?
  9. Hmm? Explain. Pre-ordering it made the demo button disappear? What happened with The Show?
  10. EA Sports UFC demo drops Tuesday with Jones & Gus playable. No indication if it includes online.
  11. Mark Henry should win the battle royal by throwing out every single other entrant. Simultaneously.
  12. Yeah, that's absolutely...uh, what? My theory is the members over there aren't excited about Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins and Cesaro because they changed their names and wrestle for the evil empire. I've never seen anything like that there.
  13. Yeah, that's absolutely...uh, what?
  14. The absolute end of me taking Scott Keith seriously was when his "I subscribed to the Observer when you were just reading newz sites" gimmick was outed as a work when Dave Meltzer tore apart all of his best "I read it in the Observer" stories. Like Austin being the original planned winner of Final Four and the match being rebooked on the fly when he blew out his knee. And Scott would hem and has that he could have sworn he read it in the Observer and wasn't sure why Dave was being so mean to him. My how time have changed: Then, I READ THIS IN THE OBSERVER gave you credibility. "I call the Observer Hotline" was uber-credibility, because that's what Micasa did. Now? People who don't read the Observer or understand what it is curse out Dave on Twitter because...I'm not really sure why?
  15. That's simple. Bix complained about the newsletter. Bryan insulted him. Bix continued. Bryan then tells Bix, "If you can do a better job, why don't you write my newsletter for me!" Bix is like, "Well, Ok." That's how wrestling works in the writing for websites department. Not exactly how it happened, but I'm too amused to say more.
  16. I don't think anyone does. I'm a subscriber strictly for the Observer. If Bryan is actually good on the air, that's just a bonus. I'd have to think if you took a poll on who actually reads Figure Four Weekly, it would be less than 20% of the subscribers. F4W has gotten better recently since Alvarez barely writes it nowadays. Bix seems to have taken over the bulk of it. Wait, Bix now writes bulk of the F4? When and how did this happen? Basically what everyone else said: Past two months. Lead/feature, American wrestling, and MMA because Bryan is concentrating on audio but wants to rehab the newsletter. Alan does Japan, Dr. Lucha does...Lucha, and Vinny still does his TV reviews.
  17. WHAT? I have no memory if this. I was talking about Sean saying CRZ tried to blackmail her: Sean had posted to WebMD or DrKoop or something using her real name about how she was cutting herself because she thought Vince Russo named Shane Helms and Shannon Moore ("Shane and Shannon") as a way to troll her. Sean said CRZ found it and used it for BLACKMAIL.
  18. I most certainly did not! (Did I?) I think maybe he's talking about those awful rumors Sean Shannon started about you?
  19. RF was buds with the owner so ROH was evil and Gabe had FULL BLOWN AIDS. I just remember Sean Shannon for Corino challenging him to take a bump and he claiming to have a disease that I don't think was ever brought up again. Sean claimed some sort of bone or vertebrae deficiency if I remember correctly. I hate myself for the fact that I probably AM remembering that correctly. Spina bifida, IIRC.
  20. The Warrior article is probably the best thing I've ever written. There's never been anything like this kind of detail on the topic before and I'm not even trying to toot my own horn when I say that seeing it all laid out in their own words is completely fascinating. It includes: - Excerpts from Warrior's grand jury testimony. - Extensive details on Warrior's 1991 suspension, including what led to him writing his demand letter. - The absolute burial Vince unleashed on Warrior in the suspension letter. - Details of everything Warrior tested positive for as part of WWE's drug testing in 1992. - Exactly what happened with Warrior trying to buy HGH and how it got him fired. - The customized terms of Warrior's 1996 contract. - What exactly led to Warrior throwing a fit in '96 and walking out and who exactly may have been responsible. - An exclusive, never before reported on development that will surprise a lot of people, which I won't spoil here. And much, much more. It's exactly the type of thing I'd expect everyone here to love reading.
  21. IMO the writing is terrible, why? Unsure if trolling. Actually I was laughing because they mentioned Simmons and ignored Shoemaker.
  22. So, uh, what does everyone think of THE ALL NEW FIGURE FOUR WEEKLY after a month?
  23. I'm a guy but I could never buy pants or shoes online. I have to get them in person. It's easy when you've bene buying the EXACT SAME PAIR of sneakers for the past 12 years. New Balance 990 13 4E.I discovered the 990s a little over a year ago and those things are fucking life changers compared to the cross trainers I wore for way too many years. Ridiculously comfortable and supportive.
  24. Like everyone else said, every Sting match in order: Great American Bash '92, Starrcade '92, Superbrawl III ('93), Slamboree '94, and the "triangle match" w/ Ray Traylor at Fall Brawl '94. You also want the other two Ray Traylor matches, which are at Spring Stampede '94 and Bash at the Beach '94.Flair at Starrcade '93 is a great, dramatic match. Cactus Jack Texas Death Match at Halloween Havoc '93 was well received at the time, dunno if it holds up. Stan Hansen match at...Wrestle War '91 I think? Is worth watching. I've never seen the Hogan matches but I know people really like the one at Superbrawl V at the very least. Unfortunately neither Dustin Rhodes match from '94 (from Clash 19 and WCWSN a few weeks later) is on the network. Hopefully they'll add the Clash specials.
