  3. With a name like Niklas Backstrom, the dude literally only had MMA as a career choice.
  4. Look closer at those posts, my friend.
  5. 6. In a org known for favorable Faber matchmaking, that fight might be the champ. Who at 135 not named Barao and Cruz can beat Faber? He already beat the last two non-Faber guys (McDonald and Wineland) to challenge for the belt. Plus, he has a victory over the true number 1 contender in Assuncao. Coming off of an extreme layoff from knee injuries, I wouldn't favor Cruz over Faber in the rubber match. Well, Johnny Eduardo just starched Eddie Wineland in under a round. That is a fight that makes more sense for Faber that Caceres.

  8. Anybody here remember the horror/sci-fi flick PULSE (1988)? I ended up watching it earlier this year and was -- pardon the pun -- shocked at how good it was. Basically, it is the story of a family trapped in a house with evil electricity. That might sound daft, but writer-director Paul Golding pulls it off amazingly well. I went looking for info on the film and there was none. So I tracked down Golding and interviewed him about this film and his history (this is his only film). Some very interesting stuff about his younger years (he was best pals with some guy named George Lucas at USC and they made student films together). Also, he tells me how PULSE went from being Columbia's big summer release of 1988 to getting dumped on less than 40 screens. If you want to check it out, here is the link. http://originalvidjunkie.blogspot.com/2014/05/writer-director-paul-golding-on-giving.html
  9. Oh jeez, that is gonna suck seeing Soa held down for 3 rounds.
  10. Since Bellator is banking on the Alvarez/Chandler trilogy, that means Will Brooks will win.
  11. If it all goes down, then we'll know why Will Brooks mysteriously decided to take a fight with some random dude.
  12. Sounds like Bellator alright. Even worse was the ten minute delay where they actually showed the ring announcer showing AC members on how to add.
  13. OSP by getting moved, Feijao if he gets past Bader unscathed in June, or Shogun if he is cleared.
  14. Fight is July 26, so I'll go with the standard one month before pullout on June 26.
  15. Yeah, that fight's not gonna happen.
  16. UFC announces two shows on the same day and one of them slowly gets whittled down to nothing. Shocker!
  17. This Friday's Bellator lost both: -Brett Cooper vs. Brandon Halsey -Fabricio Guerreiro vs. Shahbulat Shamhalaev
  18. Zack Mwekassa, Barry's opponent last night, got the gig by emailing the company and asking to fight. Ouch, that reeks of sacrificial lamb. Anyway, it totally backfired. Looking up some info on him, there is a pretty good profile on Bloody Elbow. Man, talk about a rough life. http://hhttp://www.bloodyelbow.com/2014/5/2/5675474/mwekassa-i-come-from-a-land-of-war
  19. Here's an absolutely insane KO from the GLORY show...that they managed not to fit into the actual airtime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZEazb8h0U8
  20. Just saw the Barry fight. Yeah, he needs someone to have that talk with him. Zimmerman looked pretty freakin' amazing in his two fights.
  21. Biggest shock of the night for me was that round where J'Leon Love was getting messed up. Nice recovery, but damn.
