I have a bit of MJF fatigue, but I mostly attribute it to this Devil foolishness and previously the Adam Cole stuff which ran into a problem AEW has where something is funny once so they do it every week and overdo it and run it into the ground. He’s fine, but some of what he’s tasked with is head scratching. And I’m sure some changing of plans (on account of injuries and firings) lead to this, so it’s not all on him.

We already have fan cam footage of Tony telling the live audience he fired Punk.

After saying the Continental Classic is a huge success and that the audience wants a more sports-based presentation, that’d be hilarious. And we’d get an in-character scrum. Not gonna happen, but a very funny thought.

Happy to be worked. Almost wonder if he put over AEW so much to avoid any perception hit if he (correctly?) decides it’s time for a change of scenery. He’s probably staying though.

After we’re done badmouthing Chris, can get into what it says that Love Actually is Zack Snyder’s favorite Christmas movie? I assume we’re a couple mimosa’s deep by this point. Oh what’s that? I’ve been banned from brunch for bringing up Zack Snyder? Tough, but fair.

And I haven’t even mentioned all the weird and inappropriate workplace conduct or the Colin Firth storyline or what sign guy’s plan was if the husband answered the door!

Is the Bill Nighy subplot the only good one in Love Actually? Maybe Martin Freeman’s is a distant second? A lot of serious incel stuff in this movie between the sign guy and the guy who flys to America because he can’t get laid. Natalie is like the hottest person in the movie, what is this “fat” stuff? How did we let this achieve the status of Christmas classic? What worse movies are in such heavy circulation at this time of year? And it seems to get worse every year?

The Continental Classic is a round robin tournament. The Blue block is the better block, you should expect very good stuff tonight. The challengers in the trios match are coming off a pretty well regarded Rampage match last week so they have some upward momentum. This is Rosa’s first AEW match in a while. Edge works there now, maybe he’ll show up. And this one will shock you, but Bryan Danielson is still very well regarded as a professional wrestler. Have fun.
