I'm having fun imagining how clearly Austin or Hogan would have said no to that shit. On the other hand, "Johnny Largemeat" is hilarious. I'm so conflicted. -

Boneyard was fine for what it was at the end of a sterile empty arena show. I can also see the arguments against it. I want to see Undertaker at this point about as much as I want to see empty arena wrestling. So it's the best possible use of him. Also, he should stay home. -

I of course agree. I'm just trying to find the silver linings in it for the talents for who I really feel sorry they lost their moment. To go along with that theme: Shayna Baszler is pushing 40 and may not get this stage again. In the grand scheme of this crisis, that means nothing. But as a wrestling fan and a fan of her work, this sucks. -

The Morrison eye-poke spot in the ladder match is low-key the best ladder spot that's been introduced to WWE in years. Great night for JoMo. -

For anyone waiting for WWE to address COVID-19, there's a bit of it in the Drew McIntyre episode of Chronicle. Which makes you feel for how fucked the guy's whole career has been in some ways. As a fan, I'm even more invested in his hopeful coronation tomorrow night. -

My understanding is that Dallas is unfortunately persona non grata for supporting AEW. -

Oh yeah, definite props to everyone smart enough to realize the only way to make this watchable is to work super snug. Becky-Shayna was the one match tonight I was really looking forward to, and they did their level best. -

Lots of the biggest movie stars ever have paid for several large homes being typecast. Not everyone is Daniel Day-Lewis. Some people are best off playing some variation of their type. -

On the other hand, I’m trapped in here with more books and movies and TV and old wrestling than I know what to do with. Ten hours of empty arena wrestling ain’t holding most people’s attention. -

If it’s anything like the call with the governors he did in front of the press, it’ll be pretty dull. Go one by one, feign interest in their concerns, agree to get them everything they need, onto the next one. -

Drew vs Cesaro should be good. But the appeal of both nights is the potential for shorter shows than usual. No kick-off for moi.
