  1. Completely killing any trade value he might have had. Pacers really have no choice but to dump him. Even just increasing the value of their own draft pick in 2018 will hasten a rebuild. Turner looks like he could develop into someone to build around. Not far off already. The only hope they have in getting any value from the Lakers would be eating one of those horrible deals that Deng and Mozgov signed last year in the deal. Hopefully Cleveland can get him on a 1 year rental. If it is just going to be Golden State and Cleveland again next year at least make it competitive.
  2. I don't think Fultz is the clear cut number one guy so don't love the idea. Don't really hate it either though. Ball seems like the best fit for our offense though. We play San Antonio style now and will have to change things up to run more pick and rolls adding Fultz. Any of the top guys will look good running in transition with Simmons though.
  3. I don't think we will know the answer until we see how the upcoming series plays out. Whether they feel like they should make a trade for a star. Some tough choices upcoming with who to pay. Having some relatively cheap, high upside, rookies might have more appeal if they decide to pay Thomas and Bradley.
  4. Can't complain about the result. Jumped 2 spots thanks to Hinkie. Another year wait for the Lakers pick but at least next year it is unprotected so no more drama. Just need the Lakers to stay bad enough to give us a shot at Luka Doncic.
  5. So yeah that first half by Brooklyn's offense was quite the spectacle. 81 points. 70% from the field and 70% on 3 pointers.
  6. Heroes Eventually Die vs Sami Callihan and Zack Sabre Jr. This is the review he is referring to http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/31793-jvk-reviews-pimped-matches-from-late-90s-10s/?p=5773877
  7. Nurkic 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks in the first half. And Denver had to give up a first round pick to get rid of this guy?
  8. Green would give it right back. Guy is long and built like a tank. I doubt there is anyone that would make him back down.
  9. It wasn't a great return but it was a fair return. FIrst Noel was done here after this season. He's going to get in the neighborhood of 20 million or more per year. That's too much for a backup center. Which is what he would be here. Between him and Embiid getting paid next year that would be close to half our cap space to 1 position. Noel has shown pretty clearly he is not a 4. Trade partners for him were limited to teams that would be willing to pay him this offseason. The fact that they have to pay him diminishes his value. A team acquiring him wouldn't even have a guarantee that he will stay. That is likely since they can match. Noel could do what Monroe did and just accept the qualifying offer and wait to be an unrestricted free agent. That was more likely to happen had he stayed here though than with a new team. It is annoying that they put that protected first in the trade with no chance of actually getting it. A blatant public relations stunt to make headlines look better. Annoying since we don't even really need another first. We have 5 in the next 3 years already. Our own, Lakers pick this year top 3 protected or unprotected next year, and the Kings 2019 pick unprotected. Of course didn't need more 2nds either really. The only real argument for keeping Noel IMO was that maybe his value increases after he is signed. Since he would be under guaranteed team control longer. That would come with risks though like an injury. Better to keep cap flexibility for a position of need. I suppose some people might want Embiid insurance. That limits the type of talent you can put around him. It was a good move for Dallas but doesn't come without risk. Noel is still very much a project considering the cap cost. He has consistently trended in the right direction though. Remember this though from earlier in the season: "Wojnarowski said that Philadelphia’s Nerlens Noel is seeing his stock drop across the league. The more teams see of him, Wojnarowski said, the less teams like him. “The research teams have done on him is not good,” Wojnarowski said. “They don’t get good reports back, their intel on how he’s carried himself there, of his habits. It’s not a great return, so there are teams willing to do a deal for him and bring him in, but they don’t want to give up much, so at some point there Philly’s gotta make a decision, ‘What’s the best we can get for him?’ I think at some point he probably moves, too.” I don't think the risk is all that high though. I think it is a trade that should work out for Dallas. Our future is Embiid. That comes with risk as well. Just with much higher reward potential. Can't say my expectations for Justin Anderson are all that high but he'll have his chances here. We do need some guys that can get out and run with Simmons once he is ready to go; which might be next year. Anderson looks tentative a lot. Maybe Brett Brown's personality will suit him better. What sucks is that we didn't trade Okafor too. Was ready for Holmes to step into the backup center position. Honestly close to torture watching the guy play sometimes.
  10. That should help our pick swap with the Kings for this years draft a lot. Plus we have the Kings 2019 pick unprotected as well. One less target that might take on Okafor though. Just take whatever the Bulls offered and be done with it.
  11. Jokic is like a bigger Larry Bird. Crazy good.
  12. That was one of the best passes I've ever seen.
  13. Opposite here. Plumlee was such a bad contract. I can't believe they lucked their way out of it. I'd expect Milwaukee fans to be celebrating.
  14. A 6 second video that sums up Okafor perfectly. Although you might argue that by Okafor standards he was trying to box out Illyasova.
  15. Spared OKC fans from having to watch Durant, Westbrook and Harden starting together.
  16. You might not be in the lottery at all in the end.
  17. Oh man ESPN just bumped Miami vs Chicago on the 27th and replaced it with Houston vs Philly. Simmons debut? Maybe. Potential instagram tease by him.
  18. Embiid is arguably the best defensive player in the league already. Posted on twitter yesterday prior to the game today. Last years Sixers were outscored -10.0 points per 100 possessions -10.2 ppp per 48 minutes. This year without Embiid is worse -11.2 ppp per 100 possessions, -11.3 ppp per 48 minutes. With Embiid the Sixers outscore opponents +1.5 per 100, +2.5 per 48. Won 8 of 9 last games when Okafor doesn't start.
  19. Finally bought an xbox one so I can play this game. Really haven't messed around with any games since San Andreas on PS2. Haven't gone online yet. Working on my marksmanship by trying to get gold on all of the ammunation shooting range challenges. A couple of them are pretty difficult. It would be nice to have some challenges where I have to be on the move as well. Guess that isn't vital though. The range work is just about mastering the touch of the controller. Love the control they give you to tweak this in the settings. Especially increasing simple reticule size. Couldn't see it at all sometimes.
  20. Barros' 94-95 season was the ultimate contract year. Averaged 20 a game, made the all star team, and got a nice deal from Boston as a free agent afterwards.
  21. Had a hunch I knew the answer to this one. Did some research and the hunch was right. Dana Barros of the Sixers in 1995. Scored 50 in a 29 point loss to Houston. 136-107. Only 2 others scored 50 in losses of 20 points or more. Wilt in 64 in a 22 point loss. D Wade in 2009 in a 23 point loss to Orlando. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199503140PHI.html
  22. We can't take back a center. You could use that as a starting point for a 3 way. Bogut to Boston, Rozier and Boston's own first to Philly, Okafor to Dallas. Okafor doesn't seem to fit with the type of centers Dallas has used though. Okafor needs to improve a lot just to reach Kanter and Monroe's level. Those guys find themselves on the bench for a reason. They at least rebound.
  23. Speaking of loss of patience someone please take Okafor already. Getting to the point that we'll be lucky to get a 2nd round pick for him. A late 1st and a scrub is what we could likely do now. Unless someone is crazy.
  24. Bogut to Boston makes a lot of sense.
  25. Refs missed Young's travel on the play. Though I should be used to it by now. Traveling and moving screens are just a part of the game now.
