  1. My wife has access to firearms. I really don't wanna end up in a shallow grave somewhere outside of Sierra Blanca.
  2. That'll be my life come late December or early January. Add to that the fact that I'll be nearly 44 and I'm gonna be lucky if I have the energy to do anything.
  3. Pretty sure mine was Isabella. I know the first game was Leliana.
  4. I was guessing his complaint was the DA2 ending. I personally had no issues with stabbing a certain someone in the back after that bit. I'm actually optimistic about Inquisition. It appears that they've learned their lessons the hard way with DA2. The most worrying thing for me is that a lot of it seems to be built around the fade. The parts where you get trapped in that are my least favorite parts of DA. I actually like that they are making characters strictly gay or lesbian, as opposed to DA2, where everybody is either bi or has seemingly taken a vow of chastity. Of course I still think Saints Row 4 has the best romance system of any game ever, so what do I know?
  5. In my defense, I'm almost always on the opposite side of deathmatches from JT, so I'm used to seeing him in that damn jacket. Threw me off the first time I wandered into a firefight he and melraz had started in freemode, and somebody came running at me in all green. I had the same problem with the armor always showing. Stout showed me how to fix it. First make sure you turn off the armor always showing switch. Then go to a clothing store and buy an outfit. It doesn't work on tops/pants/etc, but if you buy an actual outfit from the clerk it will hide the armor. Once you do that, you should be able to change to any clothing you want without having the armor show itself.
  6. Well crap, sorry I missed the late night fun last night. Sounds like it was a good time. Had to get up at 4:30 this morning so I had to take off early. Might be online later today if I'm somewhat awake.
  7. First inkling of something being up was when melraz shouted "Hey Burke, come check this out!".
  8. Yeah, those passive guys were just sad. It was 3 on 3 for most of the fight, and every time we'd kill one he'd chuck it back into passive again. They kept going into passive, getting up on roofs and popping out. At one point i decided fuck this, so I got up on the highest roof around and waited for them to do that. Sure enough 2 of em came out of passive on top of the Rooftop Rumble roof, right in my sniper sights. Got em both, so of course all 3 of them slapped it into passive and came up to where I was. I knew what they were gonna do, so I went into passive myself. All 3 came out of passive at the same time. One of em was a true dumbass, because he tried a grenade launcher even though all 4 of us were standing in close proximity. Managed to take himself and both of his buddies out, leaving me the only person standing on the roof. Had fun doing a few missions with melraz and RUkered yesterday evening. Learned three important lessons: 1 - passengers in the back of the 6wd Dubsta can indeed be thrown out of the back by a collision 2 - hopping out of a helicopter that is still running and sitting on its side will kill you in a hilarious way. 3 - be careful doing the hacking mini-game with melraz around. I did it during the Los Santos Connection mission and popped out of the mini-game to find him standing behind my female character doing hip thrursts while she was bent over the computer
  9. You must've logged off just before then. I was about to invite you when I realized you weren't online any longer. Oh, the help was definitely appreciated. I'd pulled a decent melraz imitation, though I'd only managed to piss off half the server by the time you joined. I'm amazed nobody brought a tank to the fight. That firefight must've lasted more than an hour by the time everybody bailed out. Fights like that are the reason I have no sympathy for people that complain we're ganging up on them. They got plenty of kills on me, but I got a hell of a lot more on them.
  10. Damn things disappeared on me. I was gonna try to get like 10 of em and park em all on top of one another. They vanished before I could get any more.
  11. It wasn't just the Mary Lou. It was the Mary Lou followed by the melee insta-kill that got me. Rippa: Did I mention JT showed me how to Mary Lou? me: I fucking noticed.
  12. If you get into exploring all the planets for side quests and what not, you'll get very familiar with crashing the damned Mako. The game designers loved putting collectables in places where you have to drive the thing on almost vertical slopes. Easily the most irritating part of ME1, at least for me.
  13. I did all the fights on foot anyway, since I hated the Mako. I think I was level 56 or 57 after one playthrough that way, with both DLC included. Threshers were about 1000% easier for me without the Mako.
  14. Rippa pulled off what may have been the most hilarious/irritating kill ever on me last night in that DM under the pier. Mary Lou into a melee kill. I think I set a record in that match by getting melee killed 5 times - 2 by Rippa and 3 by Andrew. Add to that being blown up by the grenade that Kelvin's corpse had dropped, and blowing myself up with the RPG, and I was the king of dying in annoying ways.
  15. Hey Melraz, just figured I'd share a picture of traffic up around Sandy Shores today.
  16. I've done a few in FIB. I kinda like matches there - lots of action, and you do have some options on how to approach it. I've played a couple of the ones in the Biolab - hated of them. I've also done a couple inside that one bank you can enter near the movie theater. Those are alright.
  17. JT got to experience the weird, random DM invites the game always sends out from me last night. Always best to ignore those, especially the obvious gimmick ones. I should've ignored one myself. Wound up doing an indoor match in the Biolab. I know to ignore those, just thought this one was outdoor.
  18. Got into freemode after a DM last night, and the first thing I saw was a 4 door. I think they're allergic to you or something.
  19. I may get to roll for home around lunchtime because I think I am getting a time-off award for the stuff I did last week in support of the 101st. (Translation: They do not want to pay me overtime for the situation they put me in.) I will have to check this out when I get to the crib. If this is a bug, I hope it does not go away before I get a chance to nab a crate. Seems like they've screwed some more stuff up with the latest update. I was in an invite only room buying new stuff and outfitting my new Dubsta when a Simeon car appeared on the map. Never seen that happen before.
  20. I had forgotten that From Ashes was actually DLC. Definitely need that. Decent mission, and adds a bunch to the main game storyline.
  21. The last fight in ME was made memorable by Liara making the encounters with Geth Juggernauts and charging Krogan less than frightening because of her ability to use Lift and make them drift away harmlessly to their doom. I usually use an adept in ME1. So many hilarious ways to take guys out in that final fight. Use lift on charging Krogan and watch them float off into the ether. Use throw to shoot Geth off into space. Makes the final fight a breeze too. You can do it on the Shadow Broker's ship as well. It's even better on the Broker's ship, because you get the added bonus of watching em get struck by the capacitor discharges after you fling them to their doom.
  22. Foghorn Leghorn imitations were amazing last night while we were doing our piranha act on a passive guy, but RUkered's spot on version had me just about crying from laughter when I was trying to drown the guy with a firetruck. Rub-a-dub-dub son.
  23. I love the last fight of Arrival, if only because it allows me to use slam to launch enemies into space. I get an inordinate amount of enjoyment from doing that.
  24. Had fun doing freemode for the first time in about a week. Tanks being nerfed is nice, but they need to make suckers wait for a bit before getting the next one. Two clowns last night kept grabbing them over and over. Finally managed to take out a helicopter with a sticky bomb, after somebody in a buzzard got a little too close to the ground. I developed the unfortunate habit of accidentally killing mis last night. Expensive habit too, since most of those kills involved blowing up his Adder with misplaced sticky bombs. New Coveted isn't bad, just takes longer than before. We used a buzzard, but AxB's sniping technique should be faster.
  25. I'm so used to everybody looking about the same at all times that I wasn't prepared for some guy in all green running right at me in the middle of a freemode firefight. Of course Stout is messing with me now after the update. He looks, different, somehow. Not sure how, exactly Females also got a Love fist shirt. I almost went with it, but decided on a tropical print tank top instead. They also finally added a camo jacket for females. I put my female in a floral print dress for a bit, but she looked too much like an actual hipster with all the tattoos, so I punted on that. That dress made me look like I shoulda been at Whole Foods. The new Dubsta is a beast. As expected, it doesn't corner that well, but it's much faster than I figured it would be. Damn thing can go pretty much anywhere - drives right up mountains, and can cross some pretty deep rivers as well. Got rid of my Vacca to make room. Price isn't that bad considering. Rest of the new cars are overpriced. Glad they actually fixed the 4wd on Sandkings, like they said the did.
