  1. esse jesse kept sending me taunting me messages last night. I'm not sure he understood the way that shit works, because I was up about 45-10 on him when he finally quit. My rep has probably dropped again as well, but I haven't been able to check yet. It was at 42% after Al Copeland's bitch fit Friday. K/D went up .02 between last Friday and last night. That's with me closing in on 11K kills, so I guess I had pretty good nights overall both times. Free mode is expensive. I'm down $1.5 million in the last week. Half of that is the monster truck, but 750K is a lot of money to spend on sticky bombs, RPGs, ammunition, and blown up personal vehicles.
  2. Other weird thing that happened was before we all joined up. I was sitting on top of one of the skyscrapers downtown looking for somebody to snipe when a car zoomed past me. I couldn't get a shot off, but I kept my sniper sights on him anyway. Guy was headed south towards the airport fast when his car disappeared from my sights. The weird thing was that his body stayed visible, traveling down the highway in a seated position towards the airport. I missed a few shots before hitting a one in a million lucky shot into the back of his head as he flew launched off of a stunt jump. There's no way I should've been able to see him from downtown. He was almost to the airport when I hit him.
  3. Oh, I knew about the medical bills. I would've understood if I ran him down with a car, or use the water hose. What I couldn't figure out is why I was paying them for a guy I was shooting.
  4. We had more wackiness last night that I forgot to mention. Stout and I got into a gunfight with a guy what was in passive. We got a few kills on him and every time we shot him it would charge us a couple hundred bucks. Weird.
  5. That's why I didn't play Saturday-Monday. I was still recovering from Friday night's fiasco. This must've happened after I passed out for the night. I still feel kinda wrecked and the coma inducing meetings with the higher ups isn't helping. I will probably sneek a nap at the dealership while I am waiting on the oil change for my car this afternoon. Yeah, that was after you logged off. If you'd been online another 20 minutes or so, you'd have been around for melraz joining, which would probably have meant even less sleep.
  6. I found a way up there, attempted a melee attacked and got dropkicked off the roof with my dead body splashing down in the pool for my troubles. I had two serious contenders for kill of the night, and that was one of them. I was cheering for you to make it to the pool. The other was a sticky bomb kill on somebody in a Zentorno. I was driving under the mall in a regular Dubsta when I saw somebody right ahead of me. We hit head on about a block away from the mall just as I managed to throw a sticky bomb onto his car. I got launched straight up by the impact and started turning somersaults. Triggered the sticky near the apex, and was far enough away to not be killed by splash damage. Landed right on top of his now destroyed Zentorno after doing two or three flips. Of course, somebody else got me with an RPG about two seconds later, but it was worth it. Mis got to watch the whole thing through his sniper sights.
  7. I've avoided getting the new weapons mainly because I don't want another bunch of crappy guns cluttering up my weapon selections. I hate accidentally selecting shitty guns in freemode or DMs.
  8. We may be fighting over who gets to be the suicide bomber. The game has just gone from "Crap, tank incoming" to "Tank incoming. C'mon guys, let me get this one."
  9. Damnit don't give him any ideas. I know the somebody is either gonna be me or Stout.
  10. Crap, I didn't read AxB's post closely enough, and didn't even think about putting the bomber in passive. I'm hoping to see some tanks next time we're in freemode. We've gotta try that out. AxB deserves the GTA equivalent of the Nobel Peace Prize for devising a fun and effective way to neuter tanks.
  11. Yeah, I checked and it looks like I got the same thing. I've only ever created one job, which was a race. I'm the only person that's played it, and I gave it the Big Fresh thumbs down.
  12. The only special crate I've ever managed to get was the one that spawned in an invite only room a while back (I was in a public when I got a warning like crate drop in 10 hours or some such, got kicked out, and when I joined an invite only room got a message that the crate drop had happened.) Every special crate drop in a public that I've ever seen has caused a mad rush for the thing. I came very close to getting that one Friday night that resulted in the 5 hour long firefight.
  13. There were several missions that had to have been designed just to get to that point. And God bless them for it. The definitely designed part of the game to force you to driving around with Pierce singing at the top of your lungs, which was the other thing I thought you could've been talking about.
  14. I hated the game more than it deserved. Mainly because I was stuck being Edmund Exley, and I wanted to be Bud White. That and the fact that everythng going on in LA involves this small group of about 10 guys. About 1/3 of the way in I started playing it like it was GTA, and started running over every pedestrian I could find.
  15. Yep, that was it. I was just about crying from laughing so hard when I realized what they were doing.
  16. If it's what I'm thinking of, it was one of the greatest things in video games ever.
  17. I can't say for sure that he was cheating. I'm not even sure the jet guys were cheating, though I really think the were. I can only say for sure I've seen cheating 3 times. One was a guy who withstood literally thousands of minigun rounds while I was watching on VCN. The other two were guys that were completely invisible, but clearly weren't in a glitch. I do know that some very strange things were happening in that server, and I still think it's suspicious that they were accusing US of cheating before that guy went from cannon fodder to nearly invincible.
  18. He wasn't the only guy that reset. That generic atom guy did the same thing. May be convenient that the reset happened on 2 of the 3 guys that didn't completely embarrass themselves.
  19. I had that happen with someone. I was driving around the city looking for something to sell and he shows up off the radar and blows up my car, then runs to his apartment. So I go and wait outside his garage, and when he drives out I shoot him and his friend. Then he respawns and I snipe him... and then something happens and it's impossible to Auto Aim at him, whilst he can auto aim at me from any range. He can hit me and kill me with an Assault Shotgun, outside Shotgun range, while I'm Combat rolling. I could still kill him with the Sniper and the Sticky Bomb, but he had another guy backing him up and I didn't (everyone got split up and dumped into full servers). i had assumed it was the whole 5AM my time, 10PM his time thing, but maybe he was cheating. I'd normally chalk it up to my own incompetence, plus the fact that this occurred between 5 and 6 AM my time, except for two things. One - everybody else in our party noticed it too, even though I hadn't said anything. Two - his buddy had been accusing us of mod menu stuff for hours. I honestly have no clue what mod menu means, but it could be a case of doth protest too much.
  20. It was a weird night all the way around, and something was definitely up with that server. There were multiple times I couldn't target people when they were standing right in front of me. It may've been happening to the clowns we were fighting as well. Or they could've just been little bitches after we got several hundred kills on them. The weirdest thing game-wise was the car behavior. Several times I stole a car and started driving off, only to find myself standing next to the car while some NPC drove off in it. Then there were a couple times in a row where I tried to jack Ballers and the NPC drivers would rapidly switch appearance, changing the character model completely, several times a second while I was trying to yank them out of the car. Then, once I got the driver out the car would disappear. Mis blew up my car at one point way out by the east coast, despite the fact that I'd hidden the damn thing in the middle of downtown and never moved it. Something seemed off with that powerofevil guy to me as well. He showed up a couple hours into the fight and I immediately killed him 6 or 7 times in a row. After that, he became almost impossible to kill. I maybe managed one more kill on him. Couldn't auto target him, and he was a bullet sponge. At one point it took 4 heavy sniper hits from me, and two more from Herby, to bring him down. I will say he was good with the sniper rifle. That was the longest continuous fight I'd ever been in, probably lasted 5 hours with no letup. Whole thing started over a special crate drop over near a beach on the east coast, near the Governmental DM location. I got there first, but somebody managed to take me out while I was killing off the last of the crate guards. He managed to grab the crate, so I killed him twice and he bailed out of the server. Then everybody else showed up. For a long while it was mis and me against a rotating cast of four or five It was mainly MoronicWall8420 (who the social club says is now officially my bitch after I killed him 67 times) and tense olive something, who managed to kill me one time for every five times I got him only by going into passive and coming out when I was distracted fighting his buddies. Tense olive sent me an in game text, but it disappeared before I got round to reading it. Probably bragging about his brilliant passive technique. Somebody named BlackEatenchikn showed up, so I killed him a few times. He sent me about 8 or 10 party invites, then when I ignored em he started the parade of weird messages with "If you don't join the party, you're our bitch". I think he must've been disturbingly attracted to my character, which ought to worry anybody that's seen her. I was too busy with the firefight to deal with that, so I killed him a few more times and he left. Around then Al Copeland shows up. I immediately killed him, blew up his car. He sent me a long text, basically saying why did you kill me, and saying that everybody else in the server are his buddies. Not sure what he was expecting wandering into an ongoing firefight like that. I ignored it and killed him twice more. He then spent the next 3 hours in the server in passive, sending me whiny XBOX live messages complaining that I'm picking on him and accusing us of cheating. Our sniper skills were a bit too good it seems, because he was moaning that we weren't fighting in the city. Apparently I also have "damc dc2u vagos mc n knfl" as life enemies now, whatever that means. Stout and Herby showed up to make the odds more than even, and Stout's buddy helped as well. Probably end up at least a hundred kills for the night. I'll take it.
  21. The bad news - Something may get in the way of me being on. Don't know yet. The good news - doctor called before I left for work, and the tests showed it's a boy, and everything looks good (for a combinations of reasons, we had probably a 30 or 40 % chance of Downs). You'd have to do surgery to chisel the fucking smile off of my face today. Then I got in the car to drive to work and XM starts playing It Was A Good Day. Damn straight.
  22. I'll be online for a while, though I'll have to bail out around 7:15 as usual on Thursdays.
  23. He was on a couple hours after you took off. I never noticed you not making sense. I think we were all pretty wiped out by the end. I could hear Stout yawning for the last hour or two. I'd been online for about 10 hours by the time I finally dropped, and you were online before I started. The Dark guys were either one trick ponies or were playing out of their minds last night. The got me with drive-bys pretty good, but I ended the night up a couple kills on one, and about 45-8 on the other. Fly Homie Lamar did manage a few kills, but I think we killed him well over 60 times. I know I ended up with more than 50 kills on him, the majority of them from last night. The whole time I was driving up that hill, I was thinking there was no way you'd be able to get up it. I barely made it up in the tractor. Herby was apologizing for his English (which is perfectly fine) last night. I told him "Hell, we can understand melraz, we can sure enough understand you."
  24. Every race needs to include Liberators. They just make things better. I didn't bother with any of the new weapons, because I didn't want to get stuck with them in my inventory. Dan probably would've won the first DM if he didn't insist on using the musket. Had way too much fun between the Tuesday Night Titans and spending a ridiculous amount of time in freemode last night making the world safe from white dots. Plus I got to regulate with Herby for the first time in forever. I'd missed Herby's deadpan "I have him" when he has a target in his sights. LS was infested with white/pink/red dots last night. Competition was weak, but we didn't have too many passive clowns. One guy kept grabbing tanks, but he never lasted long at all. Nerfing the damn tanks has made them much less irritating. Seemed like the server was populated mainly with people I'd killed a bunch of times before, maybe in DMs or something. There were 2 guys I'd taken out more than 50 times, and another two where I had more than 40 kills by the time we cleared the server.
