Speaking of I loved Brody's choice of attire last night but it got me wondering. Did it have to be approved by TK? Does WBD care? Interesting stuff -
Doesn't Globe Life Field have a roof/temperature controlled?

Couple things. I really do think Hangman is winning because they've been teasing the hell out of Swerve and him finally putting their differences aside. I think it's going to be their version of WM 40 with all these people coming out.. Also, I hate to get into the rumor mill but hasn't MJF basically gone to Turkey? I doubt he'd put his hair up on a stip -

So that was a great way to spend 2.5 hours. Some really fun matches and the build to ALL IN is really heating up. -Hangman cutting an entire promo in Spanish -Crowd HATES Atlantis Jr. and pops by association - Mistico's entrance was unbelievable -Toni Sandiego suplexes Mercedes and all the belts go flying like Sonic Rings -Main Event advancing all the key stories as well- 109 replies

Very saddened by that news. Liv is on the run of her career.
-
Her promo was bordering on bad and the crowd wasn't helping. They did not give a single fuck about what she was saying. It's only been a week so I can't judge anything yet but I felt she was perfect for AEW and would have a hard time in WWE. I think they are going to give her the NXT title right away most likely and then she'll get the call. From there it's anyone's guess..

Tay and Sami came to mind..

I got you. But maybe something like "Bron is tasked to stop ____ from winning the Rumble but ends up winning it himself" could work. Seth tries to get Bron to go after the other title with many "HAHAs!!!" thrown in there during his promos and Bron is like "fuck that, I want the smoke"
-
That's possible. I just hope they didn't drop that because of a potential on-screen pairing of him and Mercedes. I know that's more of a WWE thing to do (let's pair up all the couples) but it wouldn't make a ton of sense given how different their gimmicks are. They are fine by themselves.
-
You don't think ten months is enough? 'WrestleMania 42' isn't until late April. The teasing with Seth and Bron starts around December.
-
Bummed about Liv's injury. She's been on a great run. Gunther is the perfect guy to retire Goldberg in Atlanta, I just don't know if it's going to play out like that. Is Goldberg going to lie down on the way out? Also, the match did not need the title at all. I like Gunther as champion but "Main Event" Jey Uso is so popular that I'm shocked he's not getting a real run.
-
Seth and Cody were getting giant crowd reactions last night for a simple face off. I was surprised as much as anyone because they've already fought a bunch of a times but it happened. Meanwhile, Bron is also getting huge reactions killing people every week. I think it's likely that by WrestleMania next year it goes Seth cashes in on _______ (I'm torn between him going for Cody who has beaten Cena or Cody who has beaten Gunther) and that leads to Rollins in the Triple H role and Bron Breakker in the Batista role. Rollins and Bron for Mania

When he and Hologram had that showcase match I thought he was going to be in for a push. Maybe now with all the spotlight on him, Tony will take advantage of it and move dude up the card. Seems like an intelligent guy and obviously a hell of a wrestler
-
Yeah, I don't know if it's true or not but there were reports about WWE counterprogramming (which they did with SNME) so that's supposedly why Tony Khan moved the show to 3PM ET. Then as we know, WWE decided to also run an NXT show in the early afternoon.
-
Hope not. I don't want to see Goldberg celebrate even if it's just for a minute.
-
I think Hangman is winning. They've been teasing Swerve helping him for months. Don't you guys remember the "WHAT DID YOU SAY??" backstage segment? That was the beginning of the two softening on each other... let's be serious here. Also, why is everyone convinced Mercedes is beating Toni? I think it could go either way. Mercedes is going to lose soon and it's going to be to one of the top women. Toni, Willow, Athena or Stat all make sense. Mercedes has also won a couple of her recent matches by escaping through a roll up or other quick pinning type combination. She's running on fumes.

Aminata and Thekla was a great match. I didn't notice Aminata no-selling anything, I'd have to rewatch. She did say something on Twitter recently about not being allowed to wrestle so she could very well be disgruntled. This is going to happen more and more with both promotions having 200 people under contract.

I just don't see TNT going anywhere until cable actually dies off. Even if some other private equity firm steps in and runs it, these cable channels still have a good 5 years or more left of profitability. In WBD's case, they split the companies because they are hoping they will be attractive for certain types of buyers. They would like a merger or sale of the HBO/WB Pictures/DC/streaming portion and a sale to someone who wants to ride cable into the ground.
-
Good thing for AEW is they are a part of "TNT Sports" from my understanding and they still hold a lot of major sports rights even after losing the NBA. Whether Warner Bros. keeps this around and it's sold off to another company, TNT Sports is a major chip in the industry. Cable is going to die eventually but for now the only thing anyone really watches on TV is sports.
