  1. If it's true that Rusev and Black didn't want to lose, that's fine because Tony Khan shelved them. Rusev wasn't used much at all and Black was mostly in tag matches. Tony Khan is the one doing the booking, none of these people have creative control. If they are difficult? They don't get used. It's seems fair to me. There's no signs whatsoever that Mox, Mone, or The Hurt Syndicate have been difficult to work with. No signs at all. They've all done jobs. Shelton has done jobs. I think only Lashley hasn't been pinned but should Lashley be pinned?
  2. I don't know if it would have made a difference or not but if Warrior's feud with The Undertaker played out on TV more or if the feud with Jake Roberts actually happened (I believe this was neutered because of Warrior getting fired again) maybe he'd have had a lot more juice out of a big babyface run.
  3. We have to stop this "Ex-WWE wrestlers don't want to lose!" nonsense. Unless your name is Bryan Alvarez, there's no place for it here. First of all, almost all of the wrestlers have spent time in WWE at one point or another. Secondly, everyone out there is trying their hardest to put in the best possible work they can put in. Nobody has "creative control". All of the booking goes through Tony Khan. He literally just said this the other day. The Hurt Syndicate will lose when it makes sense for them to lose. Shelton has already dropped falls in singles matches. This is complete nonsense.
  4. I've rewatched a lot of Ultimate Warrior lately going through the federation years and I don't get the hate. He always brought his working boots in big matches vs. Rude, Hogan, Macho and the like. He has more really good matches than people give him credit for.
  5. I don't think that was the issue, people pile on Punk all the time. It's when things get personal between posters is where people need to take a step back and think for a minute. I'm guilty of getting into arguments online that turned somewhat personal and it's dumb and doesn't really help anything.
  6. Naomi was fucking awesome tonight and what a monster pop from the returning OTC. RAW was pretty good from in-ring action to story line progression. I still think the whole Jelly Roll and Logan Paul thing sucks but everything else is getting better, maybe?
  7. Tony said the attendance was either close to or surpassing 30k. Didn't give an official number. He also said early PPV buys look like it "could be the most we've ever done" so if you are into numbers that's where they stand but if you just wanted to know if it's a big success, it sure sounds like it.
  8. Despite the bad build or nonexistent build and WWE just throwing this together, credit to the women because they fucking brought it and it might have been WWE's best PLE of the year! There wasn't a real stinker top to bottom. Everything was at least solid to good. LOVE that Naomi is the champion right now she really deserves it. I'm torn on how they went about it because Iyo and Rhea was something special and then it ends like that but I love Naomi so I don't know. I'm torn. Stephanie Vaquer is fucking incredible and her promo ruled. I've loved her since the first time I saw her on an indy show.
  9. He was carried out on a stretcher. I think the implication was that they were with him.
  10. Naomi already said on Twitter that she's attending both lol
  11. I'm crying at Alvarez not understanding Dave's explanation on why the show went into SNME. Dave actually explained it pretty well. If you have 'ALL IN' going head to head with SNME directly a lot of people may opt to just watch the free show and say I'll catch the AEW results because AEW is $50. But what Tony Khan did, which was smart, was make sure he gets whoever is going to buy it at 3pm ET and then run the show LONG where all the most important matches are going on head to head with WWE. In my household I missed the first hour live of SNME and you know what? I didn't give a fuck I missed it.
  12. If Rollins injury is legit and serious that fucks over a lot of story lines. The guy is literally involved in everything. I thought Goldberg/Gunther was about the best it could be. Crazy that Goldberg's speech got cut off but that's WWE for you.
  13. I can see that but it's the only time I can remember where AEW has done the big overbooked, everyone run in.... I mean Death Riders do a lot of interference but I'm talking about the WrestleMania 40 type finish or the Mick Foley in Worcester finish.. this was the first one and for me it was WELL WARRANTED because they had fucked over all of these people and tonight they had to pay the price. I loved it. I dug the match too. Ultra violent, everything it needed to be. Mercedes and Toni are superstars and delivered. I had said I thought the better story was for Mercedes to fall short here and win later. Great win for Toni. Okada and Omega was good. Everything was really well booked for me. Felt great for Dustin. Feel horrible for Cole. Get well soon, dude.
  14. PRO WRESTLING!!!!!!! Look, I'm not gonna front. The first hour was a slog to get through but after that it turned into a classic classic PPV. I can't wait to run some of these matches back! HANGMANNNNNNN!!!!!!!! THE BELT!!!! YESS!!
  15. Show probably isn't close to being over yet but I LOVE PRO WRESTLING! Let's go 24 hours!
  16. Wide shots look fucking great. Huge success
  17. Wow. Takeshita and Bandido was worth the money alone. Great stuff
  18. I bought the show it's 9 bucks. Watching now. It's been fun to this point.
  19. I like them because they can theoretically end at any time and there's always surprises. Last year was a lot of fun.
  20. They are approaching Vince levels of "entertainment" sprinkled throughout these shows. A good way to get me to stop watching again.
  21. For a WWE PLE those numbers are low. Also, Trish Stratus came out today and shit on the lack of build for her match. https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/trish-stratus-opens-up-about-build-for-wwe-womens-title-bout-at-evolution-wishes-they-had-bigger-build-didnt-have-very-boring-segment-on-smackdown/
  22. It has now crossed the 24k mark with the rest of today and tomorrow's walkups to go.
  23. Hangman mentioned his family being there. I wonder if there's a possibility of Mox going after Hangman's family to try to get him to lay down and Swerve making the save for Hangman's family, kind of turning Swerve into a hero for his son... and then allowing Hangman to put the final nail in Mox coffin
  24. It wasn't my favorite segment they've done but I still liked parts of it. I have enjoyed most of the feud though. Their backstage promos have been excellent. They just put up another one on the 'Countdown to All In' Show on their YouTube channel that's really great. Plus, their physical interactions have been really entertaining. I am expecting the match to be really good.
