  1. With the no death run, you can select portions of each chapter and lower the death count that way. I got about 26 portions (or so) to do that. Almost everything else shows zero deaths. And good luck on Infamous: SS. I'm planning on that after Infamous 2 & Festival of Blood Platinum and 100%.
  2. I too bit on Injustice on PS4. Yet another Platinum to work on.
  3. Finally finished Killzone: Shadowfall (just got to do about 6 trophies including a no-death run and Elite difficulty) and I'll have another Platinum. The game is not like any other Killzone game -- it's almost like Deus Ex: Human Revolution with bits of Half-Life 2 in there as well. The problem with the game is it is still a traditional FPS campaign with setpiece moments, but visually stunning and the story is a bit more politically intriguing than your standard COD game. Another problem is multiplayer is completely dead, which is a shame. The multiplayer community for KZ:SF is probably one of the best I've ever seen and even though you play the same maps several times, they are still fun. What ruins it is base camping. I think what messed it up is the trophy requirements for multiplayer are completely ridiculous (I've been working on the multiplayer trophies since launch and I only just within the last month finished them). From what I've seen, the player count has dropped every month to the point that there are less than 1,000 people playing online. I can see Sony putting Killzone Shadowfall on PS+ soon just to salvage the multiplayer community.
  4. James Garner made The Notebook a very watchable movie.
  5. I barely liked the Alpha, so I'm hoping the Beta improves my feelings towards the game. I signed up for a Beta code -- now the waiting game begins. Although I barely have any time anymore to commit to these kinds of games.
  6. Taco Bell was always a good 'post-hangover/bar night' food for kids at my college. But it's completely awful any other time.
  7. Well, Tuesday during a meeting, my boss asked me about my knowledge of Microsoft servers and I told her about a server I set up in virtualization at home. Don't know if that means I'm going to have a new role soon or not. Either way I'm having to start preparing to take some Microsoft tests to be certified soon. Then I find out today that my dad just got laid off from his work-from-home job with a computer manufacturer. I really don't know how I feel at this point. It's neither good nor bad....it's just stuff.
  8. Fuck you Ryan Block and your hipster douche-ness for posting audio of you arguing with a Comcast rep on the internet. It's like listening to two hipsters argue about their microbrews in front of a Goodwill while the Arcade Fire is blasting from their tape deck. Yes, oh my God, you had to endure crap-tastic customer service, but be glad you don't have to sit in the guy's chair and take those fuckin' calls. Oh and fuck Comcast for their pay structure be close to a modern form of slavery for the reps having to take calls and prevent people from leaving their shitty service.
  9. I've been listening to "Word Crimes" over and over and I hope his video has the same women from Robin Thicke's video dressed as schoolteachers. It's an easy slam dunk there.
  10. You summed up why I hated this game. I'm not looking to Platinum'ing this at all. Demon's Souls and Shadows of the Damned's Platinum runs were/are better than this. Hell, I'll play Jak II again.
  11. And while we're on Justin Ross Harris, fuck her wife too ("thanks I already did" sez the peanut gallery). The freakozoid woman upon seeing her husband after his dumbass gets arrested asks him, "Did you say too much?" (OK, if you have to ask that, you obviously have something to do with it) and says she wouldn't 'bring her son back, even if she could' not to mention every reaction she had in response to her son's death was/is the opposite of normal. And she's nonplussed that her husband was sexting which a normal woman would have kicked his douchenozzle crappy dispatcher who lucked into a real job ass out. But they are made for each other, so they'll both be in prison.
  12. They won't, trust me. But the ending will make you want to smash the game with a hammer.
  13. And Tony Gwynn died. If that doesn't make me want to leave San Diego for somewhere else, I don't know what will.
  14. Fuck you Justin Ross Harris. First you leave your son to die in a hot car while claiming to have 'forgotten about him' then you did 'sexting' to women the day he died, you looked online for 'how long it takes for a child to die in a car' and asked about cashing in your son's life insurance and your stupid cop ass managed to luck into an IT position that many serious IT professionals would have wanted. And you would think him in such a role would cause him to realize that you don't look up that information at work, especially if you're about to commit a crime. Also, you had a lot of my Facebook friends convinced you did nothing wrong when I could tell from looking at him that he was/is a complete douchebag. It always pisses me off that former members of law enforcement get to work in IT when many of them can barely power on a computer nor have the actual computer skills to handle the job.
  15. Word of caution about Sacred 2 Gold on PC: It will install but not run.
  16. I ended up buying a lot on Steam & GOG during the sales -- off the top of my head, I got on GOG, Phantasmagoria 1 & 2, Empire Earth, Master of Magic, Master of Orion 1 & 2, SimCity 2000, BioForge, and Anvil of Dawn along with various free games (like Omerta, Torchlight & MagRunner). On Steam, it was a lot of course. The highlights for me were Age of Mythology, Company of Heroes 2, Goat Simulator, Nidhogg, Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition, One Way Heroics, Payday 2, and Age of Wonders 1 & 2.
  17. If you need the Supreme Court to confirm your beliefs, perhaps they weren't very strong to begin with. There's a phrase that my dad uses: "Jesus wouldn't be a very good politician." I just know that I will have to be wary when I walk into any business owned by a person of Arab descent because I could be refused service due to 'religious beliefs.'
  18. Keep in mind with Dead Space 3 that it is nothing like Dead Space 1 and 2. BTW, you probably need to play Dead Space 1 first. It seriously is one of the best games I've seen from PS3/360 gen. It's basically RE4 in space. Go.
  19. Wait what...you had me at "Fire Emblem" and "TRPG." Must have it now.
  20. It's OK. I also have bought a Wii U. The reason? Friggin' Wonderful 101 & Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
  21. GOG did the smart thing by having a summer sale at the same time as Steam's. Although I bought about 9 things on Steam (including Beyond Divinity & Divine Divinity, Payday 2, Van Helsing II and Unepic), I sorta feel 'done' with the sale this year. Unless Starbound shows up as a daily deal.
  22. There are at least a few other games I'm more excited for than R6: Siege. I still want Patriots damnit.
  23. Oh, damn. Goodbye, expendable funds. Nothing for me today in the Steam sales. Freespace maybe, but I wish Descent II & III were on 75% off.
  24. I would be interested if you have a PS3 copy. I'm no longer XBL member (and I never will renew).
