  1. The Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes match, seeing that live was pretty special. You can tell the match meant a lot to them and they were exorcising a lot of demons, plus the post-match promo. Also seeing Jon Moxley make his AEW debut was pretty cool. The first Double or Nothing was a fun show overall, and it did feel exciting. The MGM Grand Garden Arena was literally packed for an event that wasn't WWE. Even five years ago that felt unimaginable. It felt cool that something like this had emerged that wasn't WWE because it was unheard of at the time. Then you had things like the guy dressed as Jesus in the crowd, and the crowd popping for the Jesus cosplayer. One of those "you had to be there" moments.
  2. Based on what I read, private beaches and resorts allow women to wear swimsuits, and this wasn't the first time. Not defending Saudi Arabia and Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. But the WWE deal with Saudi Arabia is long-term, and it's not going away anytime soon. Vince McMahon literally held a pissing contest with KSA over the safety of his roster. And when all that was blowing up, WWE said the deal was fine and they were expanding to three events a year which they were already doing.
  3. Brian Gewirtz blames Cody Rhodes' booboo face for screwing up The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. It was supposed to be a kick-ass, inspiring promo about how The Rock was going to beat Roman Reigns for the title at WrestleMania 40. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/brian-gewirtz-says-cody-rhodes-220000817.html
  4. Weird thing to "work."
  5. AEW literally advertised him for Wembley Stadium. So what is going on here?
  6. I conducted that interview with Ethan Page. Sad to see he's done with AEW and ROH. Hope he will land on his feet.
  7. I think the show ending angle tonight worked infinitely better than last week's. I also liked how the angle carried over into Rampage for about 15 minutes. Tony Schiavone had the line of the night, "We need to call the police, guys!"
  8. A relatively uneventful and pointless WWE Draft. I'm not sure they thought this through very well. Because the champions were protected this year, they had to preserve their feuds from Backlash as well. They should've waited and held the draft after Backlash.
  9. I never said it was and I was never talking about McMahon.
  10. No. And whataboutism is a poor defense of Tony Khan.
  11. Tony Khan has always wanted to be one of the boys. That’s why he can’t function as a leader.
  12. AEW isn't over CM Punk. Tony Khan isn't over CM Punk, and it seems the roster isn't over CM Punk either. This guy who works for AEW and wrote a message to Meltzer for the first time in two years apparently still isn't over what happened with Punk in AEW. https://itrwrestling.com/news/recently-released-smackdown-star-was-told-he-would-always-have-a-job-in-wwe-april-26th-wrestling-news-round-up/
  13. I like them, I hope they have fun in AEW. https://twitter.com/JamesDrakePro/status/1713224332212641897
  14. The audio and presentation last night were just bad. Everyone is saying the audio problems are caused by TBS, but why don't they fix them? I don't really hate the direction they are going with the Bucks and Jack Perry, but it seems like fans aren't really into it and don't care? The crowd last night just didn't seem interested. Maybe it was the audio and acoustics, but it sounded like a low-energy crowd. Leaning into the CM Punk garbage this way late into the game was detrimental to everyone and AEW's TV product. It didn't help them long-term at all. Ultimately promoting a guy who they fired and doesn't even work for them anymore. Sure, they did actually capitalize by bringing back Jack Perry, but again, your TV audience doesn't appear interested at all. All they see is a dude who got choked out by Punk.
  15. Yes. A settlement was reached. https://www.newstimes.com/news/article/the-next-big-thing-lesnar-settles-wwe-lawsuit-103428.php
  16. Thanks for that. I didn't watch the pay-per-view tonight, and Ospreay's acting skills are definitely underrated.
  17. So apparently, Danielson was hurt on the Storm Driver? Is that accurate?
  18. Didn't they literally start a restriction or rule against doing that?
  19. The correct move would be to have Jinder Mahal three months from now attack Hook on PPV. Jinder can say he just made AEW and Hook relevant again.
  20. Say what you will about Jinder Mahal, but he got cut before, came back and became WWE Champion. That's a pretty successful career all things considered.
  21. That article was a strange read, but it did notably reveal that McMahon is maintaining contact with The Rock and Cena.
  22. Fair point.
  23. No. Fuck off.
  24. Tony Khan is so incompetent he won’t even book Jungle Boy on TV and attempt to draw heat on the one party they can from the whole CM Punk bullshit drama. You are literally letting New Japan draw all the heel heat of your guy because you are pissed at him for costing CM Punk. Fire Jack Perry or stop mentioning CM Punk.
