  1. Proving that, contrary to what one might think from hanging out in the wrestling section, the board is actually getting smarter.
  2. Ironic, because I was, and still am, such a square. An island in a sea of debauchery.
  3. Kids was a big thing getting passed around my friends as well. I remember not being very shocked at all by it, which may say something about the school I went to. I felt the same way about that movie Thirteen with Evan Rachel Wood too. Both really quite mild, in my opinion, and not very good either.
  4. The problem is, if you push Heyman too far, you have to deal with the beast incarnate.
  5. I hope Santino retires to look after his gym. I don't like how Triple H and now Brad Maddox have interacted with Heyman the past two weeks. I know it's consistent with their characters, and their past dealings with him, but I just don't think the number 1 heel and the heel GM should be getting shine off another hated heel. Just leave that angle alone.
  6. Well, Kane has probably produced more WrestleCrap material since he debuted than anyone else, so I don't know how he dodges that bullet. Because he can recover from it.
  7. Watching the Greatest Rivalries DVD on Netflix, I was surprised to see Renee Young hosting. Where exactly did she come from? She brings a professionalism to her Raw interviews that is rare for WWE.
  8. I rewatched the divas segment just to see what all the fuss was about, because apparently I didn't see it the first time around. I didn't see it the second time around either. Talk about much ado about nothing. AJ attempts to hold her own came off as pretty desparate, and the rest was just the usual shitty commentary we get for divas matches. Never would have figured that would spark some great debate. The show was all about Goldust for me anyway. I was looking forward to that match more than any match in a long time, and happily Dustin didn't disappoint. I wish they could find a regular spot for him on the roster somewhere, because he's clearly still a lot more talented than most of the guys they've got now. I hope Dr Kirschenbaum becomes a regular wrestler, in a goofy Isaac Yankem DDS-like scenario. Where has Santino been anyway?
  9. Shout out to Kawada for voting for Georgia. I was the other vote on that. JJL gives one of my favourite ever performances in it. Just devastating. I think Europa is the only other one I voted for so far. Not seen a lot of these so far to be honest.
  10. My favourite was MVP and Matt Hardy. Cena and Miz is another recent example. Similarly, Cena and Michaels.
  11. Oh, goodie. I forgot this was meant to be starting today. That gives me something to look forward to.
  12. Windham and Luger Vs Tully and Arn from the first Clash is better than the oft-lauded Sting/Flair main event. The Enforcers Vs Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat, in Steamer's WCW comeback match is probably the best mystery partner reveal ever. The '91 War Games seems to stand in the shadow of the following year's, but is a great match in its own right, and features one of the best 5 minute segments of wrestling ever (the opening exchange between Windham and Pillman).
  13. I hope you mean the giant demo, and not the slut demo. What about the giant slut demo? One way or another, they're on their backs.
  14. Barood was good, but Romeo Rapta was the discerning fan's choice.
  15. When you watch four weeks of Raw/SmackDown and then the PPV, Rock matches are awesome. Needs context to really enjoy it. Fair enough, but you could say that for a lot of guys. I don't remember many matches where Rock elevated a lesser talent or had a great match with a shitty worker. Most of his solid matches (Austin, HHH, Taker, Benoit) was with a better worker than he was. Hell, I would say Mick Foley was the better worker in their series of matches. You could say he was better than Jericho and Shamrock in their feuds, but even that's not indisputable. Bret got a good match out of a pirate, Shawn gave Sid his best match and Eddie made JBL look like a fucking monster. Rocky wasn't that kind of worker. I think Rock 'carried' loads of lesser workers to good matches, but just in a different way to what we normally mean when we say that. Through his charisma and his popularity he made a lot of stuff seem better than it really was. He might not be the best Samoan, but he's certainly in the discussion. And, come on, man, Jean-Pierre Lafitte was awesome. A better wrestling thief than Repo Man, that's for sure.
  16. I love Trollple H. I read that as Trollop H, and thought what an interesting and unexpected character development that would be. Also, Rosey was the shit.
  17. Why are people deliberately ignoring the fact that repetitive storytelling and long-term storytelling aren't the same thing? One is good, the other, not so much.
  18. Sure, but you don't count the weekends. And then take out all the time you're sleeping. It's, what?, 15 minutes total.
  19. Did somebody call Triple A?
  20. It's only been 2 weeks!!!
  21. Are you the one who actually used the phrase "Randy Boreton?" You can find Orton boring all you want, but if you say SuperCena or Randy Boreton or CM Drunk etc... Yeah, i'm going to think you are an idiot. Can I say Blandy Boreton? What about Daniel Buryan? Had this discussion with a friend. But two pun insults is too much. Either Randy Boreton or Blandy Orton is best. I would go with Blandy myself. No points for alliteration?

  23. Show crying is like the Davey Richards superplex spot. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean that you should. Really, I'm not a fan of the way Show has been involved in this at all. It just makes no sense to me that he would care this much about, well, any other wrestler really, but especially Bryan who he has had issues with in the not too distant past. Why couldn't he have just gone out and had a good, clean, sportsmanlike wrestling match? The whole thing about him being broke, and being scared of dying because he's a giant was pretty silly too. Got flashbacks to the Shawn/JBL feud when Shawn was apparently penniless. Some people seem to not realise that there are other options apart from 'Bryan smites his enemies' and 'Bryan gets beat down to end every single show', and maybe some of those should be explored. I don't think it's a 'we want instant gratification' thing, so much as a 'let's have some progression in the story' thing. For me, I'm not terribly concerned with how Bryan is being booked right now, and am certainly excited at the prospect of Bryan heading an anti-establishment alliance to fight back, but I can see where people are getting a little twitchy on this. I was totally a mark during that Cody/Orton match. I was actually shaking a little with nerves as it neared its conclusion. Really glad the fans responded to it in the right way, and Cody knocked his promo out the park. If we get a Rhodes family reunion out of this I may just cream myself.
