  1. Jayden Daniels is so much fun to watch, Washington may have gotten a good one. Too early to tell long term but as he gets better at reading defenses he should improve more, course him having a solid supporting cast has helped as it would any rookie QB.
  2. What if Lock is the answer at QB and now the Giants can draft Hunter and knock out two positions in one go?
  3. Maybe Drew Lock should be MVP
  4. I don't care if the Bills win a low scoring boring game today as long as they win. Being able to rest their starters/hobbled players next week would be huge.
  5. In one of the interviews Dickerson did acknowledge that he beat OJ Simpson's record in game 15 when Simpson only had 14 games so I don't think he'll really harp on that aspect of it. A few articles used the 17 games line as a "gotcha" clickbait headline but he said that wasn't really an issue: How do you feel about the possibility of Barkley breaking your single-season rushing record? I don’t think he’ll break it. But if he breaks it, he breaks it. Do I want him to break it? Absolutely not. I don’t pull no punches on that. But I’m not whining about it. He had 17 games to do it? Hey, football is football. That’s the way I look at it. If he’s fortunate to get over 2,000 yards and get the record, it’s a great record to have. So the 17 games part doesn’t bother you, even though you set it with 16 games? O.J. Simpson was my favorite player. He went over 2,000 yards in 14 games. It took me 15 games to get to 2,000. I had one extra game to play. Getting to 2,000 is an accomplishment in itself. I got close to that three other times.
  6. Coaches can of course be the problem but the Jets and Bears got worse after firing theirs so maybe its not always the problem?
  7. My heart goes out to anyone that watched that boring ass game. Not a good week for NFL so far, in regards to quality games.
  8. What would have really ruined Football Historians day is what if the kick was one yard over the current record. How big of an asterisk would they have been by that one. Even though its technically a FG, obviously its a much different situation with no snap/quick hold/line trying to block it. They'd probably try to make it its own category, longest "free kick field goal" or something.
  9. That announcement left us with more questions than answers. Things like "rolling basis" and being vague about when current PPVs will be added/how much they will cost is not ideal, especially since its safe to assume that THEY know but they probably aren't telling us as they don't want to discourage people from being PPVs in the meantime. For example if they announce that All Out will be the first PPV available on Max and it'll be say $30, fans may not buy the $50 ones in the meantime and just wait until they are cheaper. I like they are adding the entire back catalogue, I just hope they don't edit it. I know music can be tricky but don't remove parts with certain wrestlers or mistakes, I want it in the same form.
  10. Yea, its kinda been told incorrectly (I don't mean by you, just by social media in general) but its not the first time in 48 years its happened but the first time in 48 years it was successful. I've seen them before and I know the rule, even though its a crazy rule, but my memory of ones in the past is it was some crazy long attempt like 70 yards or something that had little chance of being successful. Definitely one of the more crazy/random NFL rules, always fun when things like that pop up. Well, fun as a neutral viewer.
  11. Not to defend Punk but we actually don't know if he saw what Hangman said. He was responding to a question that used the term moveset and its very possible he just doesn't like the term 'moveset' because he is a quirky guy that has feelings about how things are said and done in the business. I mean someone found a tweet from 2021 of him saying he hated the term so it may have just been a coincidence and he may have gone on that rant regardless.
  12. I wish I had the chutzpah of college football departments/ADs. The level of nerve to now ask fans to contribute to NIL funds (Alabama being the most recent) after makes tens of millions of dollars for decades (maybe a slight exaggeration but not much) off their football team due to basically having free labor. Now suddenly because they have to pay players they are begging fans to help them do it. Imagine Google setting up a fund to help them take the best engineers from Apple. I have no issue at all if they started selling more/better/different goods and using that to fund NIL. Get your top ten NIL players to sign 250 footballs, sell them for $500 apiece or something and other ways to make money with physical goods. But just asking for donations after being insanely profitable for so long is rich.
  13. Forget taking the bait, you better hope they don't take Cousins in the offseason
  14. There are reports that Kirk Cousins has been benched "going forward" and Penix will start. Yes, the player ATL gave 180 million to (90 guaranteed) in the offseason.
  15. I can't feel too bad for the Raiders as they are terrible and also threw a series of screen passes on the final drive and had two more penalties. I mean it would have been funny if they won since ATL played so conservative all game. But it was not to be.
  16. If they are going to have two games on can at least one of them be good
  17. Definitely feel for the Lions, they are a fun team to watch. Every year it seems one great team gets ravaged by injuries, just makes you want to put the rest of the team in bubble wrap.
  18. Soon as Sam Howell came in I turned it off, nothing against him but he just isn't uh good.
  19. Bills/Lions has over 1,000 offensive yards. Insane levels of offense by both sides (or poor defense, depending on your perspective).
  20. I know the Lions do crazy shit and I'm 100% on board with them doing crazy shit, but it felt really early to go for the onsides kick. Such a low percentage success rate.
  21. Bills/Lions is the inverse of Bills/Rams. Hopefully the Lions run out of time like the Bills did last week.
  22. I feel bad that Josh Allen feels that pressure to do everything but he's so much fun to watch when he takes over a game.
  23. The fact the Cowboys aren't seeing what they have in Trey Lance still tells me either they are really stubborn about playing the system player they "trust" or Lance looks really bad in practice. Cooper Rush is inaccurate and below average, he is a fine backup but not someone you want playing weekly. They traded for Lance, their playoff chances are near nil, Rush isn't good... I'd like to see Lance get a chance at some point.
  24. I'm pretty at peace, maybe because I'm pretty good at avoiding the media if I feel I need to. People will definitely over-react either way as that's just the nature of things, but when its two teams already locked in the playoffs, and in the Bills case locked into the top three seeds (their schedule gets quite easy after this week, should win out), its hard for me to get worked up about it. My only request is if the Bills lose its not due to one questionable coaching decision as people harping on that over the course of a 60 min game full of mistakes by both teams is a little annoying. And of course no big injuries on either side. End of the day, I just want a good game (with obviously a high preference that the Bills win). I don't want a Ravens/Bills results, that would be frustrating at this stage of the season.
  25. Sources say Louisiana Tech will replace Marshall and face Army.
