  1. We don't have a 'fix the board' expert on staff, unless you are volunteering?
  2. Not that I don't enjoy this discussion but there are rumors of Mercedes Mone and Deonna Purrazzo signing with AEW, possibly very soon. I just hope if they hire more talented female wrestlers that they adjust their time on TV, and don't just bump someone else off TV to make room.
  3. I'm just grouping them together, if Jericho wanted to and AEW said "please don't" I think he's enough of a company guy to let it go. I do think the allegations will go away and only be mentioned by the 5% that already hated AEW and/or Jericho anyway. So it'll go away as much as the January 6th/pro conspiracy theory stuff will that is brought up weekly on social media. The accusations were too vague, even the bulk of twitter seems to have turned on Hausman.
  4. Keep in mind no one has accused Jericho of sexual assault, not even the tweet that Kylie hearted accused him of that. I think this is one of those things where the story gets changed down the line.
  5. I'm not a lawyer but I think even if Hausman was just bullshitting I don't think Jericho/AEW would be interested in a legal case if he knocks it off. Even though on paper it was worse than what the average person says on twitter since Hausman is media-ish, I doubt it would be worth going through the entire legal process, having witnesses, etc. for a case they may not win anyway if his comment was seen as too off-the-cuff to be damaging. I assume their great preference would be for it to just 'go away', not be in the news for the next six months as the legal process marches on.
  6. I can't watch videos at work but twitter is screaming that Hausman backtracked today and said he was taken out of context (I can't watch the clip to form my own opinion, that just seems to be the vibe). So anyone waiting for him to drop the other shoe after comparing Jericho to Weinstein, it sounds like he did the opposite. Its very possible he was just spewing shit on a podcast because he has beef with AEW and doesn't like Jericho, as if he had something thing else to follow up with now would have been the time. Wonder if he got a sternly worded letter since Friday. It still leaves the Kylie situation as unresolved/unclear but if she says nothing else about it there really isn't much else that can be done unless more information comes out later.
  7. Just so you aren't expecting money from me, I think you may have mixed up the two leagues Although I am very sad you beat me this week.
  8. I've re-watched the last play a few times and I'm 50% sure it wasn't a run play. I think the low snap brought the QB's momentum forward, plus the one dude off the edge had a straight shot at him due to not being blocked. Either way it was a mess but I think it started with the bad snap, then the unblocked player off the edge it was doomed no matter what the plan was.
  9. As a neutral party, fun game! A nice mixture of great play and big mistakes which are an entertaining combination. Alabama's play calls at 1st and Goal in OT will be scrutinized but its always easy to critique when something doesn't work.
  10. People said that too about Cody when he said on Dynamite he had no contract and we all know how that turned out. (I am with you, I don't think he's really not signed although for how long I couldn't guess)
  11. I feel like benching Mullens for Hall should be a fireable offense. Hall is clearly not good and they watch his practices, they should have known that. Change just for the sake of change isn't a good reason to make a change, Mullens isn't great either but he looked like Brady compared to Hall. Hall had a QBR of 1.1 in the first half which I didn't think was possible.
  12. I think Phil won money in the DVDVR FFL for the first time since we started it back in 2009. Proud of ya, grandpa.
  13. Are owners allowed to ban other owners from attending games at their stadium? That's how I'd penalize him, ban him from all away games for five years or something. That'll annoy him more than a fine.
  14. In the sports world its case by case though based on the accusations/validly of them. At this point, Jericho isn't even accused of anything illegal, just potentially "being creepy to someone" via podcast rumor. There are no detailed accusations, no lawsuit, no charges. Which I don't support being creepy to people but its not a crime, there is no accusation of abuse or even harassment. if more comes out, AEW should absolutely act on it but at this point there isn't even anything to act on.
  15. The problem with people saying to take Jericho off TV until "everything gets settled" or "everything gets addressed" is we have no way of knowing if... that's it. If it just ends with a 'rumor' on a podcast and an emoji. If nothing else comes of it, what, Jericho gets pulled off TV forever? Wait two weeks staring at Twitter and there are no updates, clear his return? It just doesn't make any sense. I'd keep him on TV (or whatever the plan was) and keep going as usual, and if more comes out, go from there. But currently nothing has come out anywhere close to actionable, and pulling him from TV until a hypothetical future that things "are addressed" isn't really a solution. Jericho would be a fool to address it on his own (especially if there is a NDA), which is kinda a fool but I assume AEW's lawyers are asking him to not address it. The ball is really in Kylie's court, if it is true and she wants to address it, she will and it'll go from there.
  16. I believe they will at least start them, as historically NFL teams don't like to give their players two straight weeks off and they already have a bye after that. Maybe they tell Jackson to chill on the runs or pull him at halftime but I don't think it'll be a purely scrub affair.
  17. I didn't mind it in theory, the only thing I didn't like is they really didn't make it clear that Killswitch could give it away to anyone he wanted to. On one hand, if they mentioned that it would have tipped us off as to what would happen, but on the other hand it just felt like something they made up at the moment to fit into the storyline. I liked the match a lot, and the end result of Christian keeping the belt I have no problem with, the execution on how we got there just felt a little made-up on the spot.
  18. If it makes Lions fans feel any better, they massively messed up this call too and dramatically altered the last Cowboys drive. Not only calling it on the wrong player but the totally wrong team, the side judge didn't see correctly whose leg it was. The crew was just really, really bad.
  19. I wish in those cases they could at least do a re-do instead of the penalty. They couldn't let the play stand even though they messed up, since the Cowboys defense wasn't told who was eligible. But if there was a more useful "eye in the sky" that could quickly replay it and see he tried to declare himself, they at least could have given the Lions another go from the original spot. It wouldn't have erased their mistake but at least it would have given the Lions a better chance at the second try.
  20. Even though it was predictable, I am glad they didn't just do a swerve just to not do the story they had planned. That was probably the "right" call even if we all saw it coming, but the next few Dynamites are key to keep the story going and not let it fall flat which is where the real challenge is. That wasn't a great PPV. I really really enjoyed Mox/Eddie, and Christian/Edge was entertaining (even if the post-match was silly). Everything else ranged from 'why is this on PPV' to just good. But so many Dynamites and Collisions are stacked, it didn't feel really elevated from that and was simply missing too many of the great wrestlers in the promotion (or they were hidden in eight man tags).
  21. I understood them going for two when they were on the two as that's fine but still going for it after the penalty (and second penalty) was just insane. His defense had been playing well all things considered, his offense just had a great drive, why risk that instead of going to OT?
  22. This PPV is really hinging on The Devil storyline at this point. I have no doubt the in-ring action will be great as it tends to be but the card is really top heavy as only the final three matches feel like PPV-level matches. Hope they can deliver. I feel like Miro/Andrade is going to be ** or **** with no between, they have the ability to put on a banger but do they have the desire.
  23. Hopefully no one has me on Ignore haha people may not always agree with me but I like to think I'm fair with my takes and don't talk down to people.
  24. I like Keith Lee a lot but his health is definitely a concern. Since his illness during his WWE run he hasn't seemed to ever have a long stretch where he was 100%. I wish him well of course but I hope he is taking care of himself.
  25. To who though? Ric Flair has notable and nationally televised sexual allegations and the AEW crowd still cheered him. I know we know about the allegations against Jericho but I think we sometimes forget not everyone that watches wrestling is "always online" and from there, how many people that hear about it actually believe/care about it. I'd bet my shoe that the crowd will be singing along to Judas tonight as always, either because they didn't hear about the allegations or don't care either way. Now, if TK has knowledge we don't and is afraid this will "blow up" in the next few days then I could see him replacing him since his match isn't overly important, I just don't think based on what we know now that pulling a major star from a PPV based on something said on a podcast is necessary.
