10-9-8-76ers!!!

Teddy don't tank! He has a naked picture of Tim Murray in the dressing room covered by the exact # of pieces as # of wins we need to make the playoffs. And JoBu, can't forget JoBu.

Mathis at his best blew away Dempsey. If he doesn't get hurt Metro would have at least one title. Still remember him scoring what I feel is still the greatest goal in MLS history vs Dallas (basically a copy of the legendary Maradona goal from the 86 world cup. If he doesn't get hurt the entire history of American soccer from 2001 on would be changed greatly.

Faewell TH14, you were pure class, the greatest player to EVER play in MLS. You will always have my love and respect for the Metro armband alone that showed you understood the concept of honoring our history. The team should create a Hall of Fame and make TH, JPA, Clint and Gio the inaugural class. Team is clearly now interested in honoring our history and I'm glad they are doing so.

Dear God, Please let LA win. Signed, Every MLS fan outside of Seattle.

Sabres sweep a home and home vs the Habs. Clearly we need to fire Nolan and replace him with Sabretooth so we can get back our lead in the McDavid Sweepstakes.
-
TH was shaking everyones hand after the game and it was fairly obvious that this was his goodbye. The window we had just shut and I fear we may end up in a rebuild mode.

Fuuuuuuuuck.

On my way to Foxboro. Come on Cahill, score a brace and send us through!!!

I'm from New York and I'd mark the fuck out for Bojangles. That stuff beats the shit out of KFC. Also the Nets had a cannon that fired Taco Bell burritos into the stands when they were in NJ. I think they actually got sued by a guy who was hit by one.

Interesting thing I noticed on StubHub: with the exception of a few markets you can get tickets in the $10-$20 range for almost any midweek game. Was shocked to see tickets for $10 for places like SA, Dallas and OKC but then again you can get most games in Brooklyn for in the $10-$15 range. Guess what I am saying is if you want to see a game check out StubHub b/c prices there are more reasonable than you'd think.

Fun fact: going back to last year the Sixers have won 4 of their last 51 games. Tonight was not one of them :-(
-
You probably guaranteed the Sixers a win tonight. If you are not watching Malik Rose just talked about having a left-handed cell phone. Nope :-( This is now the greatest streak in sports entrtainment since RD Evans lost last week #TheNewNewStreak
-
Thank you whomever bought my Sixers ticket for tonight on StubHub, and may God have mercy on your soul.
-
Best thing about Verizon Center: they have a $9 souvenir soda that includes unlimited refills. Most places charge $7-$8 and don't even give you one refill, let alone unlimited ones. Actually not a bad place to watch a game, kind of like a cross between WFC and First Niagra.

Waiting at the Greyhound station in DC for bus back to New York. Had a hell of a night here with a large and vocal contingent of fellow Sabres fans. Outshot by a 2-1 margin and we managed to pull it out. 3 game winning streak!
-
So it's not looking good for a first Sixers win tonight. At least they have the Knicks tomorrow so there's the golden chance to get it.
-
Put my Sixers tix for next Wednesday on StubHub for $10. I open my email and they sent me a pair of comps for the game. So Sixers tickets=Hydra. And what the hell, I've decided to go after all.

Since Houston was the last game on my parlay to win some money, I watched way too much of this shitbum game. Dwight Howard was more terrible than normal on offense, and nobody in a red jersey could hit two free throws in a row. Oh, and since those fuckers didn't cover 5.5, I didn't win any money. Fucking asshole Dwight Howard. My gambling tip of the day: Just bet against the Knicks. Easy money (would've said Sixers as well but at least they cover occasionally).

While I am still overcome with grief over the closing of the Pieface near MSG, the halal carts are their to comfort me in my time of need. Thank you $5 chicken over rice platter from a grateful stomach.
-
Now the big question: can the Knicks hold onto a 23 point ht lead? Celebrities here include Eddy Falcoe, Gerry Cooney and some guy from The Walking Dead. I think I'm the only American in my section as it's nothing but tourists. Fans actually started an MVP Chant for Melo, thus disproving the notion that NY basketball fans are knowledgeble and sophisticated.

Got a ticket for this afternoon at MSG for $35 to see the Knicks lose again. Thanks StubHub! I'm dying laughing at the people trying to sell next Saturday's game vs the Sixers for $85.

RJ called the first period and it seemed like we were inspired tonight. So great to hear him calling Sabres goals. Was at Avs-Devils and we had an entertaining first because it was two shit teams creating opportunities. As the game wore on each team's shittiness overwhelmed everything and the game got worse and worse. The goal the Avs tied it on was vintage Bad Cory right through the five hole.

Did a swap of my Sixers ticket against Boston next week for one against Memphis on 12/13 (friend needs for that date b/c we are doing dh with Flyers that day). They sent me two tickets for that game back. Good on them for doing me a good deed, but I'm guessing inventory is plentiful these days. BTW Cole Miner keep posting Sixers updates b/c I want to stay in the loop for my second favorite team and I couldn't afford the NBA Center Court package.

The fact that the Qatar is being greenlighted for the World Cup shows FIFA's basic contempt for humanity. I don't care how old he'll be , if these bastards do end up hosting I want Robbie Rodgers on our roster to show them our contempt.
