Lance Storm makes the same claim about not hurting anyone ever. That said, if you can make that claim it's a damn good thing to say about your skill and career, and I respect the hell out of both of them for how they didn't hurt people. That's one thing Miz can't say- I know he's injured at least two folks with not catching them on dives.

I'd take the Miz's life over DB's any day of the week.
-
I expect Miz to get into trouble for that one- kinda makes light on concussions. It's perfect sense for Miz and Bryan to hate each other deeply though- then again both of them are among my top 10 of the last decade in WWE.
-
Yeah his delivery isn't that great, but it's a great promo that gives him a character and a direction to go if they wish (though it's WWE, they won't)- he'd be a great mercenary to align with say, a Seth Rollins or Steph.

That's one way to bring back Bull Dempsey as the bailiff.

JULY 2016 WRESTLING DISCUSSION THREAD

Miz seems like a guy who would have done better in the 80s, much like Cody Rhodes. His big flaws to me are a lack of athleticism and high-impact offense, but he does the other stuff well to very well. Also, I think he's underrated as a tag guy- how many tag guys has be had reigns and good runs with? That's another area you can compare him to Arn. -

Looking around at the Dick Murdoch stuff led me to this- which might be one of the best sprint world title matches ever from the 80s. -
Wrestling moves that pretty much no longer exist

When the WWE banned piledrivers, I remember Benoit switching his tombstone to a shoulderbreaker. -

Really wish we saw more exhaustion selling in today's matches like we did that Murdoch/Windham match -
You can be a scrawny guy and make it work. I mean, look at Waltman in his Lightning Kid days- the dude looked like a bratty toothpick, and always has- but he had the offense to make it work.

They do trios instead of tags, the trios teams are pretty much, esp Mundo/Evans/PJ. Best cheating I've seen in a few years. -

The amount of guys cheering like that for Bryan were maybe 5% of the people cheering. It was a lot more than the guys in the VFW cheering him on. Bryan and Punk also got decent early pushes which helped- neither of them ever really got buried the way most non-chosen guys do. The Brand split really helped both of them early. -

I like it. Some mediocre eps but that and the Hardy stuff is pretty much what I want out of pro wrestling these days. -

Or have him find Vampiro. Only problem with that is you get Roman in LU, and I don't want him in LU. -
All of it was good this week.

I'd be ok with the Faces of Fear becoming honorary New Day members. Booty Death Grip and Bootybarian.

His video said he wants to be back by late August-Sept.

Who had/has your favortie move set?
Jenalysis replied to Ramsey's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
The guys I remember loving their move sets - Barry Windham - The Eaton/Lane version of the Midnights- what got me into wrestling was all the cool shit they did to jobbers. - Great Muta - Eddie Guerrero - Scott Steiner - Dean Malenko (his spinning belly to back was a thing of beauty) - Vader - if Kendo stick shots can count as part of a move set, El Zorro- 73 replies

Roman just got popped for Wellness. I think he's going to making others look strong for a bit when he comes back.

She looked a lot slower than everyone else in-there, I thought she just had limited athleticism. That said, she's cool and she's over so I can put up with it.

This week's ep was just the 1 match, but the end of it was so damn good wrestling.

He hurt his neck bad, and when he came back, he wasn't good in ring at all, plus perhaps some out-of-ring issues, led to him going into ECW (but a fun feud with Burchill) and then obscurity. I still think if WCW had stayed around, he would have been a main eventer there in 2-3 years.

CWC WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CLASSIC (NO SPOILERS)
Jenalysis replied to ChesterCopperpot's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
the WCW limit was 235 at one point. Having La Parka as a cruiser kinda stretched even that. What was next, the Honky Tonk Man? In World Class, they had Cactus Jack as a light heavyweight at one point.- 729 replies
