From an angle perspective, this White/Billy match this week could be interesting.  As for The match itself, 2024 Billy Gunn probably isn't bumping and selling his ass off for Jay White, so there has to be an angle coming out of this. Does Juice come back and all four of the BCG lay out the Acclaimed? Or does perhaps Juice come back and he & White lay out all of them?

Billy had a shockingly good singles match with Swerve during that feud so I am cautiously optimistic about this one.

  2. The only good thing I remember about Wrestlemania on NES was being able to constantly do Bam Bam cartwheel attack.  Good stuff.

When I got a SNES I was allowed to pick two games and because I was an idiot I got Super Wrestlemania as one of them.  Everyone had the exact same moves I was so goddamned mad.

The other game I got was Populous, which was a much better choice.

A few weeks back there were some matches that were made official so quickly you could only assume Tony had nothing more important to do than sit with his phone ready waiting for a babyface to propose a match so he could immediately call in and make it official.

My point is, he clearly lives to make matches official. Don't take that from him.

Think of the poor graphic designers who have mere seconds to get a match graphic together

i would love to support this some more. Is there any t-shirts/merch being made? will this see a DVD release?

If you want a copy of the show you have to do it the way god intended: send a money order for $27 to the sketchiest person you've ever met on the internet then wait 6-8 weeks for the VHS tape that also contains the last half of Desperado taped off of Showtime.

Every time I start to feel bad about my hair thinning and getting patchy in front a few years back, leading me to just shave it weekly with a 1 guard, I'll revisit this thread.  Thanks, dudes!

This is the way to go.  I started losing my hair at 18, which obviously wasn't great, but I won the bald guy lottery by having a normal-shaped head and light colored hair so I've just been buzzing it to the scalp for 20+ years and didn't waste years with increasingly-awkward cover ups.

One of two good pieces of life advice I got from Maxim magazine.  The other was that if you're not drinking coffee or booze drink water; don't fuck with soda or juice.

So that's why I got a totally unexplanatory "love this guy" post on FB from someone today

Walsh was fucking great. If you think you thought he was the living face of evil in Blood Simple, go watch him in Straight Time playing Dustin Hoffman-as-Eddie Bunker's rotten-ass parole officer. You'll wanna throw your shoe through the screen. And what a work ethic, the dude made an average of 3-5 film roles a year until 2000, on top of TV appearances. In 1986 he made it into six movies and six TV shows! In 2019 he was back to five movies and seven episodes of a TV series plus the two Righteous Gemstones eps. Fuck, man.

    RIP

Straight Time is so goddamned good.

Wrestling fans are weird. I found someone with a ton of satellite dark match footage on Archive. I'm scrolling through seeing what's there and end up on a huge illuminati section and it just went downhill from there. I didn't know that Rhianna was part of MKULTRA but now I do.

You, uh, wanna drop a link to that dark match footage?

@Octopuswell said, and if I had the wherewithal yesterday I'd have said similar.

I think BFs are like a natural evolution of the same kind of 'wish fulfillment' character that made like Steve Austin super easy to identify with in the '90s (who doesn't wanna kick their boss' ass?) or for a more contemporary example, Hangman during his initial journey to the title (an anxious millennial is typing this!) but just less... Antisocial? If that's the correct word.

Fulfilling the impossible wish of being in your 30s and still having four friends that can get together regularly.
