I know there are some Gresham fans on this board, but they really should get the title off of him. Trying to get a TV contract when your champion is 5'4 has got to be tricky. Listening to Tony Khan it sounds like the original idea for Claudio was for him to be a surprise debut at the PPV and be a big part of ROH. Set up Gresham vs. Claudio, have Claudio win and that solves some problems

I did The Ringer post match show
Overall I thought this was a great show, with everything but the last two matches really exceeding my expectations. Could do without ever seeing anyone in that four way ever again

Timothy Thatcher and Biff Busick would both work if it isn’t Claudio, maybe Gresham although that would be a let down

He is OK, modern New Japan finishing runs are a cancer on wrestling. Go watch Makabe vs. Henry

Taking a break, working on some things for the Ringer and finishing up the Dustin book, I am trying to line up some big guests for a return

I liked Mox vs. Garcia more, but I have written a lot about gory Mox matches, including last week, and that was about as good as a Young Bucks vs. Lucha Brothers match was going to get

Garcia is soooo turning on Jericho and joining the BCC at some point. Moxley is so great. He is the man who makes stars. I assume he will make Lee Moriarty into a star at some point. What a great episode.
Lee Moriarity ain't happening, nor should he

We covered this yesterday and it feels like the natural evolution of the 50s Catch stylist vs stylist mat wars/slugfests.
I wouldn't call this a concern of mine, necessarily, as that's too strong a word, but there's going to be a tendency for people to understand the French Catch style/footage from Catanzaro vs Cesca, the trampoline match, and some of the quick rope running gifs alone, and that's not to say that there aren't elements of all of those that are remarkable, but there's a lot of diversity in the footage, even in, let's say a tag where the heels are Bibi/Bernaert or where they are Les Blousons Noirs or where they are the Peruvians/Spaniards or where they are the Teddy Boys or where they are a couple of juniors like Noced/Richard. A 50s tag with Hayes and Hunter as your stylists will be quite different from a 70s one with Ben Chemoul and Bordes.
So you get all of that and then you get this, which is one of the grittiest hard-nosed, hard-hitting matches you'll see.
@DEAN This would be especially up your alley

I am voting Eddie of course, but Busick has had 15 matches this year with a pretty wide variety of opponents, so I am not sure lack of footage is an issue

Loved Anarchy in the Arena, but the A-Kid vs. Charlie Dempsey was just as good in a completely different way

Folks need to watch Kingston vs. Broner, totally badass fight which smokes Kingston vs. Ishii

So who is Foley's best opponent? I would lean Vader, those matches were harrowing

I can think of ten guys easy who had better matches with Foley then HHH

Biff Busick and Eddie Kingston

I imagine I will be writing a lot about it on the Ringer on Monday, but everyone should go watch Jordan Devlin vs. Ilja Dragunov Loser Leaves Town from NXT UK this week. Incredible super violent match. No one is watching but Dragunov might be the best in the world right now.

It had some cool spots, but a lot of moments where they looked out of sync

Went a little off the beaten path for the AEW this week

Yup same issue, they aired it live, but I haven't found a watchable version. I can't imagine I wouldn't have gone with LA Park vs. V4 anyway, but I couldn't find Lawlor vs. Mox to give it a shot. I think it is supposed to show up on Pluto.TV on demand at some point

I think you could have the BCC on both shows pretty easily. Danielson and Moxley are the two main guys anyway, and you could do something where they want to hold all the titles
