  1. No matter what they do to Avengers, I still don't want it. I get really bad Destiny 1 vibes from it (as in LOTS of missing content probably hiding behind a content pass, 4 to 5 hour story, same raids/strikes/missions for loot over and over again). Maybe I'm wrong and it'll be decent. Instead of Legacy of Kain reboot, it's this.
  2. Still doing Just Cause 3....had the weirdest thing happen with a plane in the game. It acted like it didn't want to take off, then became impossible to control and would crash.
  3. I'm somewhat concerned that the delay will be to make the game a PS5/Xbox Series X launch game and they won't release PS4/Xbox One versions. That's the only reason why I think they are delaying it. Or it'll be playable on PS4/Xbox One but will be noticeably slow.
  4. Maybe by the time 2021 rolls around, I'll have Platinum my entire collection and be able to get a PS5.
  5. Playing through Just Cause 3 since Sayonara Wild Hearts gives me a headache and is making me mad. I don't know if it's just me with JC3, but the audio mix is really low. I guess I've been spoiled by games with voice acting audible and in the mix. Then some of the other audio is way too loud.
  6. For whatever reason, I think the next GTA will have a female protagonist. I imagine it will be something where the previous story elements of GTA will be turned on its head. The main character finds out her husband is part of organized crime and just one day leaves her without an explanation. He also takes all the money saved up from her and she's on a mission. She traces her husband's last known whereabouts to Vice City. Her husband is serving as a negotiator between rival crimes and the main character sees her husband get shot and killed. The assassins see her and she gets out of there, being chased by them. She runs into Tommy Vercetti, now 35 years older. He warns her about 'the life you are about to get into.' Tommy helps her kill the assassins and starts training and has her meet Ken Rosenberg; they start assembling a crew to track down her husband's murderers, which goes into the heart of GTA's crime syndicates. The story would have elements of Widows and The Heist and I bet the trailer would have "Hit 'Em Up Style" as the trailer music. Since the game would be in Vice City, it would have a real retro '80s snythwave vibe to the soundtrack. She plans heists and goes through some real dramatic changes through the game; a meek and mild housewife to a psychopath that hooks a guy's balls to a car battery that makes even Tommy Vercetti squirm. Probably none of this will happen and it'll just be like GTAV but slightly different.
  7. I'm not getting a PS5. If you follow my Platinum trophy hunting in the What Are You Playing? thread, I take forever on games. A lot of what they've shown like Oddworld~!, Demon's Souls~!, Horizon 2, Spidey Miles, Gran Turismo 7 (watch as I grit my teeth to shave milliseconds off my time for a gold rank), Stray (sure play as a kitty in a post-human world with robots everywhere?), Kena (this surprisingly made me want a PS5), Goodbye Volcano High (I'm hoping it's not a visual novel with dinosaurs in high school but more Life Is Strange point & click), Resident Evil 8, Astro's Playroom, Hitman III, and Ratchet And Freaking Clank I would get it for the system, but it would just add further to the piles of shame. Not to mention what wasn't shown like AC Valhalla or Gods & Monsters or the rumored Bloodborne Remastered and Silent Hill remake. I haven't even played Horizon or Spidey or God of War (2018). Heck, I haven't even done Heavy Rain or the story for Grand Theft Auto IV. I think I'm good on console gaming for a LONG time.
  8. I'm getting The Last of Us Part II day 1 this Friday -- even getting the Collector's Edition. I may be in the camp that I think this game is fine for today's times -- but should serve as a warning. Same as The Last of Us did for me and BioShock Infinite (don't let the extremely religious/right-wing go nuts with their ideas and who could have thought 4 years later we would have idolatry that we see now in the WH). A lot of what irks me reading about TLOU Part II are people almost gleefully spoiling the game on Twitter without even caring about the overall game and citing it as 'proof' of failure.
  9. Trying to Platinum Sayonara Wild Hearts currently -- got 7 trophies left. Gold ranking every level unlocks Yolo Arcade, which 2 of the trophies require it. The last level gives me a headache every time I do it and I've attempted gold for the past 2 hours. They went full Rez with the bullshit unnecessary sensory overload on that level. There's one level that blinks too fast and probably should have a seizure warning.
  10. Got my 172nd Platinum trophy with Pix-a-Pieces (Japanese version). Didn't intend to start on this soon, but I wanted a filler Platinum since I know what my 175th Platinum trophy will be (Mirror's Edge Catalyst). Easy game but a bit time consuming and there's a YouTube that shows you the solutions.
  11. A TON of Nintendo eshop games are on sale right now -- Tales of Vesperia for $15, Ni No Kuni for $20, Resident Evil 4 for $15, Castlevania Anniversary Collection for $10, and more.
  12. Speaking of Saints Row The Third Remastered, just got my 171st Platinum trophy for it. Like Robert C said, it's really glitchy and almost worst than the PS3 version. I had a telephone pole knock a vehicle I was driving almost 20 feet into the air. Plus numerous camera issues. I really hope for a patch soon. Also, if you let the game go into rest mode, it'll glitch trophies on you. Same problem as was back in 2011.
  13. For things that make me rage: a fucking lamppost in Trail Blazing in Saints Row The Third Remastered makes me mad. You press accelerate and...nothing happens. Pretty sturdy lamppost apparently. I don't remember the original having that many problems with objects in the environment.
  14. There was a State of Play for The Last of Us Part II. A NPC in the game is playing Hotline Miami on a PS Vita. Yet she died by Ellie. ? You monster. Day freaking 1. EDIT: I forgot -- Ellie kills a dog with a molotov cocktail. Holy shit.
  15. There's actually (now delisted) Vita version called New Little King's Story. I'm surprised there isn't a PS4/Switch port. For whatever reason, Night Trap shows up on sale on Switch a lot. I think I may bite the bullet this week for it.
  16. Yeah, just aim with the sniper rifle at the cars and blow those up during the first Heli Assault mission. I hate that mission as well. I had the game crash on me tonight. I was working on an assassination mission for Zimos (which was sorta glitchy anyway) and completed it. I started on the next one at Rim Jobs and bought a mod. Saving icon comes up then....the game freezes and it crashes to dashboard. Then it tells me the save is corrupted. Thankfully it had another one there but it took me back to before I completed the previous mission. I didn't remember how tedious the challenges were from SR3. SR4 and Gat Out of Hell had way better challenges and they actually felt fun to do (of course if you're doing those 2 games 6 times total they better be). Oh and I must have night blindness but I can't see anything in game when it's at night. I have to turn the brightness on my TV all the way and fiddle with the in-game brightness. Otherwise, I'm wrecking my car making turns into building corners or into bridges. Oh and "Wallflower" is up there with "Firework" from Rocket League for catchy as fuck pop perfection.
  17. Beat Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Decent game and actually not a bad campaign -- although the last 13 trophies will be annoying to obtain (collectibles, runner specific action trophies, beat 10 enemies with full focus, highground attack, 3 stars on all Dashes). I may go back to Just Cause 3 or Shadow or Mordor or start on SR3 Remastered and do that Platinum this weekend.
  18. My copy came in the mail and I'm so tempted to spend all of Memorial Day weekend trying to beat the game/go for the Platinum & 100%.
  19. It did at launch, even for a PS4 Pro. The most recent patch has improved things a lot and it runs better, especially on a PS4 Pro. I will likely have this be a Platinum I will work on soon, probably after the 175th Platinum trophy (Horizon Zero Dawn).
  20. I will play both on your behalf. I will probably rage quit at some point too but I will get the Platinums lol.
  21. Maneater will be coming out the same day as Saints Row The Third Remastered. Your choice: Wrecking shit in Steelport or wrecking shit as a fucking shark. Toughest decision all day. I have SRTT Remastered on pre-order because I honestly find the gameplay for Saints Row to be absolutely addictive and probably close to perfection for an open world game. Apparently, there's two stacks of SRTT Remastered.
  22. For whatever reason, I'm wanting to Platinum Mirror's Edge Catalyst next, despite owning the previous game and not really playing it. Catalyst is fairly interesting and the most recent mission I did have strong Portal 2 vibes. The only annoying thing will be the Dashes which hopefully aren't as annoying as the time trials from the original Mirror's Edge. And there's fucking collectibles everywhere.
  23. Got my 170th Platinum trophy with LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 for PS3. I guess I get to do the PS4 versions at some point.
  24. The multiplayer is still available on PS3. It's just really dead lobbies for a lot of games. Sony has spent the last several years shutting down multiplayer servers for games (like Killzone 2 & 3, Warhawk, ModNation Racers, Twisted Metal, Uncharted 2 and 3 on PS3, The Last of Us PS3, Starhawk, and mostly recently SingStar), but a lot of third party companies have left servers open. Unless it's Activision who just shut them down without any warning.
