  1. I'll double check with my friend to see when that was. I'll check my old PWIs as well as the results may be in there. It was definitely in Richmond as we never had WWF go further south near us (Norfolk or Hampton) during that time. Also, that is a great database. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
  2. Thanks, man. Sadly, I'm not sure what was from what show. I'd have to find a database of results to figure it out.
  3. Not quite sure where to place these, but figured this is the best spot (if it isn't, could a mod please move them). Anyway, digging through the attic I found all of my old wrestling photos from the 1980s. I had just gotten into pro-wrestling at the time and, being in the mid-Atlantic area at the time (1985-87), I was NWA all the way. Of the hundreds of photos I took (wasted film on) only about 25 turned out to be any good where you could tell who was who. And I ended up with one damn stylin' and profilin' pic of Ric Flair. Wooooo! So here is a link to scans of them. Bonus: a WWF show that came to the Richmond Coliseum headlined by Hulk Hogan vs. Adrian Adonis. Enjoy! http://imgur.com/gallery/Z2ZYL/new
  4. The fact that "JR should announce UFC events" stories elicit "hell yeah" responses online scares me.
  5. They're doing Conor McGregor vs. Diego Sanchez on November 15. Wow. EDIT: Nevermind. Dana said it was just Conor wishing.
  6. Myles Jury has said he is facing Cerrone in January; UFC hasn't announced it yet.
  7. Man, that is bad especially after Cung did his whole excuse video.
  8. Jesus, that is a very quick turn around for a champ (6 weeks!?!).
  9. Meltzer said this PPV bombed. But Dana told me Conor McGregor was bigger than Brock and GSP!!!
  10. It is strange though. Dana has anointed two people as "huge" (specifically in GSP/Brock terms) in the last year (Rousey and McGregor), but it hasn't translated to actual sales matching them. I've seen people online saying, "McGregor brought this card to at least 750,000 buys." Really? The BWW I went to last night was nearly empty and our waiter even said to us, "I don't know why they are showing this fight. No one cares." I get he is a promoter and some would argue doing his job, but shouldn't it at least be partially grounded in reality?
  11. Dana's gonna Dana: Dana White tells @ArielHelwani on the post-fight show: "McGregor is the real deal. He is legit. Bigger than Brock Lesnar. Bigger than GSP."
  12. Which led to some amazing pro-Thiago Silva posts online where folks were saying, "Yeah, he is holding a gun but he is not threatening her at all."
  13. Not really. For other seasons, it was different reasons. But I don't like faux Bad Girls Clubs vibe from the show this season. I know that's how it's going to be with a bunch of women between the ages of 18-35, but it's too high school clique-ish for me. In my opinion, that stuff played with Real World vs. Road Rules ten years ago. Personally, I don't give two shits who Rose Namajunas does or doesn't like. They're basically asking everyone to watch a bunch of undertrained women sit around and gossip for 25 minutes, train for 10 minutes, and the fight for the remaining 15-20 minutes. It's brutal when you're not expecting some knockouts or anything violent but athletic at the same time. And that's on a channel no one really watches in the first place. I'll sit through some bullshit to watch Uriah Hall send someone into the next galaxy. Just please don't make me watch an Oxygen reality show followed by 10-15 minutes of pedestrian fighting. Even worse than Bad Girls Club, they are basically doing the Oxygen show Fighters Girl that was a TUF rip-off itself which featured Felice Herrig on it. It also aired 7 years ago. :-(
  14. Chael didn't run away from a test though. Overeem ran from a test...and the NSAC basically fellated him. He took the test though. Also Epwar, two wrongs don't make a right. Because someone else did something idiotic does not excuse what Silva has done here. Well, in the case of the Brock fight, he stalled giving a sample for nearly a month after running...and still got to fight!
  15. Good, now we get to see another top LW beat the Nate. And then get the obligatory Nate Diaz meltdown afterward.
  16. Nate Diaz returns to fight Raphael Dos Anjos on the next FOX show.
  17. Chael didn't run away from a test though. Overeem ran from a test...and the NSAC basically fellated him.
  18. A lifetime ban? After giving Chael two years for using everything under the sun? Jesus.
  19. WSOF moved their October 24 show to November 15. Yes, the same night UFC has Cain vs. Werdum and Bellator has their big Tito show. http://www.mmafighting.com/2014/9/23/6832599/wsof-15-moved-to-nov-15-goes-head-to-head-with-ufc-180-and-bellator
  20. I'm sure Pettis will get hurt before his fight. It is just a rule.
