TNA iMPACT - Airing April 25, 2024 from Paradise, NV

*Nic Nemeth opened the show with a promo. Nic talked about not becoming TNA World Champion and not knowing what to do next. Nic said he felt broken inside which brought out Broken Matt Hardy. They showed replay from Rebellion that Nemeth's shoulder was up on the pinfall but the ref didn't see it. Broken Matt announced he had come to TNA to become Champion of the World and said he would give Nic a shot down the line. The System interrupted. Moose mocked them and said the ref's decision is final. Nic challenged them to come to the ring. Eddie Edwards called Nic desperate but says he understands Nic came to TNA with the goal of being the next Kurt Angle, but he might not even be the next Eric Angle. Nic challenges Eddie to a match in the main event.

*Mike Santana def. Myron Reed (w/ Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) (3:00) after the STB. After the match, Steve Maclin came out and directed the Rascalz to surround Santana but they abandoned him and Santana fought off Macln.

*Josh Alexander came to the ring for a promo and talked about wanting to become worlds champion again. Frankie Kazarian interrupted and said he also won his match at Rebellion, arguing that he should be the one qualifying to fight for the title. Josh suggested they have a match for #1 contendership. Kazarian talked about being hurt from his match  Josh said he can go on to being #1 contender then or they can do this right now. Kazarian said that didn't work for him, but a referee came down and it was announced that the match was made official for right now..

*Josh Alexander def. Frankie Kazarian (12:28) to become #1 contender to the World Title via ankle lock submission after Eric Young stopped Kazarian from using a steel chain.

*AJ Francis and Rich Swann came to the stage with rapper Bun B for a promo. Joe Hendry interrupted and said he accepted defeat and would present them an apology in the ring next week.

*Xia Brookside def. Ash by Elegance (7:04) with a rollup after the ref stopped Ash from using brass knux.

*Sami Callihan def. The Good Hands (Jason Hotch & John Skyler) (2:38) after the Piledriver on Hotch.

*Eddie Edwards (w/ Brian Myers, & Alisha) def. Nic Nemeth (16:03) with the Boston Knee Party after Moose interfered to hit Nemeth with the world title. After the match, the System laid out Nemeth with a steel chair until Speedball Mountain came down and Ryan Nemeth came out of the crowd to run them off.

Good show, I liked the matches and promos mix throughout. Love to have Broken Matt back and him eventually coming for the title.  Feels like a nice boost having Matt, Santana, and Callihan all back around. 

Josh/Kazarian was very good for an impromptu match in street clothes. Thought Xia Brookside looked great again, love her Simple Plan theme music and she comes off like a star. Paige Prinzivalli continues to be great in her role, my favorite ref between her work here and in WoW.  Jordynne vs Yamashita next week should be epic, I loved Miyu's last brief run through Impact.

Enjoyed the main event, Nemeth's having a solid all around run here. I love the potential of the Nemeth Brothers vs the System for the tag titles if they go that route with the focus on Ryan in the crowd and eventually coming over at the end.
