  1. What they said. The other thing is they tell you that a Lieutenant is in the area right before they spawn so if you know the spawn points and have a line of sight on most of the area, you know where the guy is because you'll see the black swirly thing happen.
  2. I think you're putting too much stock in the light level thing. To actually make it to 310 by playing the normal mode raid and trying to get 310 exotics to infuse into other stuff takes a monumental amount of play time and luck. Not to mention the difference in reality between light level 305 and 310 is probably not even noticeable. What's more important is having a good weapon and being able to do constant damage. Touch of Malice is the best obviously for this but a Hunter with Celestial Nighthawk, or basically any high impact sniper or scout is going to be fine. I don't think the design is that you need to get to 310 before attempting it.
  3. You're not going to have to be 310 to do Hard Mode. 310 might be the level cap and hard mode is just leveled above everyone. That would be my guess. You have to be within 40 light to do any event now. We haven't had a raid in this game yet that gave you higher level gear from hard mode. VoG had certain things like the helmet and certain weapons only drop on hard mode and CE had the elemental primaries only on hard. Sucks you've had bad luck with drops in the raid. I've been pretty lucky with stuff I've gotten so far although I've yet to get any raid boots for my Titan or a raid helmet. I managed to make it to 305 yesterday because I found a blue pair of boots that were 299 and the ones I had were 296.
  4. I read a person on reddit who did some math over a few extended sessions between himself and a couple friends and the drop rate for legendary gear is around 1%. It equates to around 20 hours of gameplay. So crappy.
  5. Did a little work last night on my Hunter. Did some CoO and grabbed the 300 artifact and then did a raid. Got the cloak, fusion rifle, and sniper rifle. Got gauntlets too but I already had those. I'd gotten the fusion once before also but infused it into something else. Will be doing the same thing with this one since it's 308. It was the first time having the sniper drop for me and it dropped at 309 so that's pretty cool. I've heard that the 1000yd stare is better and I have one of those at 308 but I at least can leave this gun on my Hunter for the light boost. Got the Hunter to 302 anyway. Minor gripe- The Black Spindle nerf came the other day and that's cool and I knew it was coming. My gripe is because I took my original Spindle that dropped at 310 and infused that into my 1000yd stare to make it 308. Then I just grabbed another from the kiosk to use day to day at 300. I infused it up to 303. Well that got nerfed down to 283. So I had to break a bunch of shit down to get it back to 303 which is pretty lame because I wasted some other gun previously that was 303 to get the Spindle at 303. So I had to infuse it like 3 times to get it back up to speed which was a waste of legendary marks.
  6. I remember a while back when using the PS eye camera to create yourself in game was a new thing, people were running around with dicks for faces until they got that under wraps. Still makes me laugh just typing this. I'm such a child.
  7. He's also reportedly the best back on the roster and that's considering that both Randle and McFadden have been pretty good even with an incompetent QB and key injuries on offense. I think Randle would look even better if the passing game wasn't inept because holes would open up a little more but I'm not a fan of his running style. I've been waiting for them to give Michael a serious shot since they got him. Hopefully he has a good couple weeks of practice and is able to pick up the blocking duties and route running enough to be serviceable in those areas. I think Randle is best as a change of pace back and McFadden can handle third down role. Hopefully Michael can be consistent. I like the way he runs. So happy Weeden is going to the bench. What a waste of a roster spot.
  8. I can understand that but it's not like he's been super active after his Strikforce fights.
  9. I'll be hitting up Trials for sure. I raided last night with my Titan. Didn't get shit. Shards from the first two chests, shards from the Warpriest, gauntlest from Golgoroth when I already had 309 gauntlets, shards from daughters, and another gauntlet and pulse rifle from Oryx when I already had the pulse rifle at a higher light and better perks. I did get an exotic chest engram to drop though but it ended up being 290. I at least used my second pulse rifle to get my Apple of Discord pulse rifle up to 304 which will be what I use in Trials most likely. So my Titan is still sitting at 304. Damn 296 legendary boots and a 298 legendary helmet. At some point I'm going to just grind the strike playlist with 3oC and see if I can get some 310 exotics to drop. Perhaps I will get lucky and snag some boots in Trials.
  10. The NHL offseason drug testing policy is that only 60 players in the entire league can be tested. There could be all types of drugs being done. The point is they aren't bothering to check, they don't plan on checking, and everyone seems to be OK with them not checking. That is the only league where that is considered acceptable. The other leagues should follow suit. Because why should anyone care? People just have the hardest time leaving other people alone. I am right in line with you, but that is also something that is completely unrealistic. Drug testing is one of those things that we only do to people we kind of don't like. Almost every minimum wage job drug tests, but once you make about $50K a year somehow all those drug tests aren't so necessary. Not saying that none of those jobs test, just not nearly as many as the lower paying jobs. The biggest reason for drug tests in professional sports is that a good part of the population resents professional athletes. The NBA is a little different, because of the Len Bias tragedy, but that had as much to do with 80s drug culture than NBA culture. In 2015 I don't know if the culture of sports celebrity is the same as it was back then. I honestly think most of these guys are so careful about what they do with their bodies we don't have to worry about players ODing(I know I'm typing this while Lamar Odom is in a hospital). There are different reasons for drug testing in different situations though. Low paying jobs drug test because "using drugs" is a negative perception that people have and it allows employers to weed out a potential "bad employee" easily even when that necessarily might not be the case. My last career did not drug test. You worked there based on performance. Sure there's a possibility that someone addicted to drugs could allow that addiction to affect their work. But it could affect their work in the same way as an employee that stays up late every night playing video games and gets two hours of sleep and that person isn't testing positive for shit. It could affect your work in the same way as an employee who eats really unhealthy and doesn't exercise or take care of themselves and calls out sick all the time. So if you didn't perform, you were replaced regardless of the reason. You had to do a good job at work, no strings attached which is how it should be. My current job drug tests but only certain shops(I work at a Navy shipyard). So if you operate a crane, you're subjected to potential drug testing because of the safety aspect. Society has to come through this drug thing at some point and we need to try to do it with common sense. With pro sports there's this perception about "performance enhancing" drugs but there's also this fake sentiment about keeping drugs out because they care about the player which is bullshit because you're shooting that player up with pain meds before every game so you can get every ounce of performance out of them which leads a lot of them to addiction of pain meds. Tell me that's not "performance enhancing". I really feel like people need to respect each others decisions on what you do with your own body and mind. I don't believe in the term "performance enhancing" when it comes to drugs. It's all performance enhancing. Cardio, weight lifting, vitamins, supplements, a certain amount of sleep, certain foods at certain times of day, it's all to enhance performance. How has society as a whole come to the conclusion that abortion is okay based on the phrase "It's a woman's body to do with what she wants and who are you to say what she can and can't do?" but then we want to tell people that they can't take a certain pill or they can't smoke what they want? For whatever reason. The reason doesn't even matter.
  11. This has been a really exciting season as a Mets fan and I feel like for the first time in a while they're doing it the right way. I didn't have my hopes too high for last night because I think the whole Kershaw postseason choke job talk is really blown out of proportion and I expected him to pitch really well. Matz is really good though too. deGrom vs. Greinke I expect will fully deliver. When both of those guys are on, they're unhittable.
  12. I just looked him up to see what he's been doing lately and he's still somewhat active. I wonder why he never tried to further his career in the states. He's got good striking and a lot of power. There are guys in that neighborhood with those types of skills who have made a pretty good career in the UFC.
  14. I'm still trying to figure out what the incentive is to play Iron Banner. The gear you can buy is garbage.
  15. I want a goddamn exotic emote
  16. This is why I play crucible with my Titan exclusively now. Remember the Golden Gun super? Yeah it's like that. But way more deadly because you don't even have to be accurate and you get double the opportunity to use it.
  17. That's not in the case of interference though, that's in normal play. What kind of sense do you think it makes to say your interference is legal as long as you can keep the defender off the bag?
  18. Actually from all the rules I've seen posted, the preceding runner is supposed to be called out as well.
  19. It also ignores that these guys were hired because they were big time fantasy players and know their stuff. We know the guy won big once but how many times did he lose to get to that is the question. A friend of mine posted the employee in question's finishing charts for the time. He was in the money nearly every time. And 0.3% is estimated in the low eight figures, fwiw. It doesn't really matter. 0.3% is 0.3%. If it represents low eight figures then that puts the whole pot at stake at over $3billion. So yeah, insignificant.
  20. Let me know how it goes, I've always liked the interface on those phones.
  21. The only thing that can be a holdup on your fragments Rippa are the T3 CoO bosses since there's only one per week and also whether or not you have a skyburners command beacon and a charged agonarach rune. Outside of that, you can just go get the rest of them. You only need 45 and there's a confirmed 47 found right now so two can be skipped. I never did get around to doing the one with the agonarach rune. The hardest one if you're by yourself is the one where you have to stand in the room for a minute to get the "scent of the worm" buff which lasts a minute and requires you to sprint to the chest which can only be gotten to by spawning invisible platforms. It took me a couple times and when I finally got it there wasn't a second to spare on the timer. It would be helpful if you had teammates already out there on the platforms so that you didn't have to waste time bringing your ghost up to see them.
  22. Yeah once you run through the story missions, strikes are your best bet in leveling up quickly. Certain quest lines will give you a legendary something or another as well.
  23. I wish we were on the same console, I'd walk you through where they all are. If you haven't done the nightfall this week, do it before reset because one of the fragments drops as a nightfall reward for strikes on the Dreadnaught. There's another one in that strike that you might as well get while you do the nightfall. It's in the room after you kill the tank. The room that has the colossus in it. It's under some rubble on the right side.
  24. Got an email yesterday that I got selected for the opportunity to buy Ryder Cup tickets. Will be able to purchase them between November 3-5. I don't really know what the market is like for Ryder Cup tickets if I get them and end up not being able to go. I would only want to buy them if I knew I'd get my money back most likely in the event I can't make the trip to MN.
  25. The Psion Flayers aren't considered Ultras. So when you finish that strike you'll see your 3oC buff is still active. The two Shield Bros are considered as one Ultra so the exotic will drop after killing the second one. If you kill the first brother and then look in your menu you'll see your 3oC buff is still active. It goes away once you kill the second brother.
