  1. I'll be interested to watch this show on the Network later. I was in the Superdome and it was just a surreal atmosphere. Time felt like it froze once Taker was defeated. People in the crowd were confused. A few people popped because it seemed like Taker kicked out at the last possible second, and then silence, and then commotion, and then that 21-1 graphic flashed on the monitors before Roberts made it official and Brock's music hit.

I am surprised that people are saying it was a bad match. It felt like a good match to me that the crowd was just quiet for throughout because Taker's went felt so anticlimatic, and Brock didn't work his normal chaotic style.

I thought the arm work on Lesnar was well done and told a story, and I thought Lesner working Taker's knee was equally as effective but was ultimately meaningless with the finish.

Two things I also thought were odd live. I got to my seat in time for the end of the four way tag. The corridors to get to the sections were clogged and tough to navigate. It took at least 30 minutes once I grabbed my souvenir cup to fight everyone just being stuck. With that said, no Anthem or America the beautiful along with no official attendance announcement were two odd things not to happen.

  2. against my inner smark, I've made a bet with my best friend that if Batista wins this Sunday, he's buying all of the food at the Bonnaroo Festival in June. If D-Bry wins, I'm buying. I'm really torn between those two choices when it comes to the eventual winner.

    Two Words:

    Spicy Pie

    Two More Words:

    Amish Donuts

Also, there is some belief (not sure how accurate this is) that Austin might be involved with the CM Punk situation if he appears this weekend but Austin has been predicting that Punk WILL show up at Mania.

  3. For our friends across the Atlantic (and also because it's a bucket list festival for me), here is the Glastonbury lineup!

It's not the best lineup they've ever had, but Glastonbury is similar to Bonnaroo in that you go for the environment more than anything.

  4. It's been a rough few weeks on my end. I lost my grandfather at the end of February, work has been stressful, finances have been stressful, and I've encountered some unnecessary family drama.

To top it all off, my fiance has had a hard time finding work. Found a part time job to hopefully convert into something else so she can get out of her crummy third shift job at our private hospital (Dothan has two hospitals: A Private Hospital, and a Not for Profit hospital). Finally, my check engine light just came on in my four year old car (I have a 2010 focus that I bought new in December of '09), and it's showing that my car is not heating up enough to appease the thermostat. It took my entire commute to work today to get it to show it was warm ALMOST at mid-level.

2014 needs to get better quickly

  5.

    21. Man of Steel - 14 Points (5 Votes, Highest Vote: Fat Spanish Waiter [#7]).

Directed by Zack Snyder.  Starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, Harry Lennix, Richard Schiff, Christopher Meloni, Laurence Fishburne and Kevin Costner.

The divisive Man of Steel. I liked Man of Steel and it closed my ballot out. My Dad didn't like it.

Personally, I would place Man of Steel among one of the worst films I saw in 2013.

  6. I would guess the following myself and realize that I am probably way off with these:

Joffrey: With all of the power plays going on around him combined with the Royal Wedding, now just seems like the time where he actually meets his demise.

Sir Davos: He has barely escaped the claws of death multiple times throughout this series already, so I can see that finally coming at the end of this season.

Brienne: I think her involvement with Jaime might finally mean her demise.

  7. My fiance thought I was crazy because I was laughing to the point of tears in that third act while popping for all of the insane cameos before screaming MINOTAUR when the Minotaur appeared.

I could have done without all of the attempts at awkward racial humor. I know what they were attempting, but it just didn't work and it just was not funny.

  8. God - I watch three shows all week and of course they are all on at 8 pm on a Monday night.

I am thinking I have to punt the first hour of RAW tonight

I am DVRing Hour one of RAW for the finale. I'll watch the rest of RAW as it airs and then just fast forward through the first hour if I feel it's important.

It being RAW. All of the highlights will be replayed 20 times.

  9. Here's an amazing Roman Reigns vs. Matt Hardy match I had in No Mercy last week. I was capturing footage for the MMA gaming thing and figured I might as well do some NM since it's plugged in. I updated Roman's moveset and using the flying Misawa elbow smash thing for the Superman punch. HOLY CRAP DOES THAT EVER WORK PERFECTLY for the pose he makes during it. This has a lot of back and forth stuff and went way better than you'd think a Reigns-Hardy match would go.

This makes me angry that I gave my brother my copy of No Mercy. I need to find an N64 Pronto!

Also, WCW/nWo Revenge would probably be ten times better if it wasn't ruined by the discovery of the thumb stick escapes.

  10.

watched Drinking Buddies last night. White People Problems: the Movie. Between this and Francis Ha, I have no idea what the hell is going on with indie movies these days.

That movie sucked. I think I gave it a 3 or something.

I enjoyed it, but I really like Jake Johnson, and I got the vibe it was trying to present. The biggest issue with the movie is you never got a sense that it was going anywhere, and it was just so laid back that it meandered.

  11. I've got the xbox 360 with the tiny HDD in it. I use an external for all things gaming.

I rented this at a Red Box while i'm here in GA, but I haven't been able to play it because it seems Ground Zeroes does NOT detect my external drive...

This is beyond frustrating. I don't care about the game being 2 hours because once I knew that I knew I wouldn't buy it (RED BOX!), but not being able to install it like any other game when i'm FORCED to install it is annoying.

Plus, where i'm at for the next 4 weeks I can't get on Live, so if an update is pushed I can't play it.

    Thumbs down.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried formatting a 16 gig Thumb Drive into an Xbox Hard Drive and installing it that way?

  12. I would be interested to see Dolfan's take on this, but I would say that the Dolphins have not really been the same since the Monday Night Miracle.

Growing up, it was rare that the Dolphins didn't make the Playoffs. Now, it seems like we've only made it to the Divisional Round two maybe three times this millennium.

Bad Ownership, GMs, Coaching, and QBs not named Marino will do that to you I guess.

  13. You're thinking of Heavy Rain.

Alpha Protocol was an attempt to make a James Bond-type espionage game with the Mass Effect engine, but it failed massively from a technical standpoint.

Understood, I do not recall being as enamored with Indigo Prophecy as much as some people were as well.

Also, I picked up Infamous Second Son yesterday. I put about an hour into it.

Some of what I've read has suggested that the game is not terribly challenging unless you play it on Expert; however, this is my first foray into this series, so I am riding it out on Normal and then will check it on Expert afterwards.

Thus far, I find it to be a visually gorgeous game. It is also the first PS4 game to utilize some of the motion controls. At least in the Prologue Sequence (before you get to Seattle), I will say that the camera and movement of the game makes it hard to get a feel for place. It's very linear, and there are times that I ask if I am going the right way...only to stumble into another cut scene.

I'd be curious to see other thoughts from the few PS4 owners here today.

  14. Ha my #1 and #2 are already gone. I figured not that many people would vote for The Past, but thought there was an outside chance Catching Fire would sneak on a few ballots.

I own Catching Fire and have yet to open it. Also, The Past is a case of living in a small town for me, which means I have no idea when I'll see it.

After A Separation, I really want to see all of that director's work.
