  1. EA is going to probably allow for less customization with each passing year.

They indicated as much during interviews with their team for EA UFC.

The O'Bannon case has really spooked them to where they are slowly going to kill custom file sharing through stuff like EA Locker.

  2.

Yeah, when Sting does get to talk and squeeze in a story it's good. Just get ready to get frustrated at Ross.

Big time frustrated. I am at the hour mark of part 1 and had to take a break from it. A good long Sting interview is something I have wanted for a long time. This has just been awful and basically the exact opposite of what I wanted. I think I would prefer one of those those horrible RF shoots asking Sting about locker room fights over this.

Part 2 has been better thankfully.

I would guess that Austin eventually gets Sting on the pod and we get a much better interview.

  3. I just loved the story Dustin told about Wrestlemania 12. That was a great story. We talked in length on the podcast I did discussing Wrestlemania 12 about the hilarity of the OJ footage.

It had been years since I had watched anything other than the Iron Man match from that show (At least since like 2002).

  4. I wouldn't really get too caught up with supplements. A good multivitamin (especially if she isn't big on fruits and veggies) and fish oil is all she needs. I recommend Orange Triad for the multi and OxiMega for the fish oil (both are made by the same company). Weight loss supplements/fat burners are generally garbage and often just glorified caffeine pills. Stuff like protein shakes or whatever are OK if you're in a time crunch but when you're trying to lose weight and satisfy hunger, I'd rather just have 250 calories of real food.

I would say that the best thing is to make sure it's a lifestyle change (having no idea what your fiance's dietary habits are like, but I'm just gonna assume they're not all that different from mine). I've always found it easier to lose weight/remain healthy by priding myself on actually being healthy as opposed to punishing myself for being out of shape. For most people, the issue is portion control and eating out of boredom and/or because it makes you happy. Eating fixed portions can go a long way in helping with not overeating. Mashed potatoes are not the end of the world, but if you make enough potatoes to eat 5 serving's worth, that's not gonna help.

Yeah. I think her thing is that she thinks she needs to do a meal replacement shake to help with her diet. Part of that might be with me, and the fact that I am big on protein shakes. I personally have a big jug of optimum nutrition protein, a thing of fish oil, and a musclepharm multivitamin. I was also using some pre-workout supplements, but I have not used them as much as of late as I think I need to limit my caffeine intake and try to develop my energy/heart rate more naturally. Years of energy drinks have taken their toll I think.

She works at a job that brings in food almost every day, and it's always unhealthy stuff like Moe's Southwestern Grill or a local place here that's called Zack's (Basically like a southern food line place) with fried chicken or whatever.

I keep telling her that we would both be smarter to just meal prep twice a week. Prep food on Sunday for Monday through Wednesday for the days, and then on Wednesday night do the exact same thing.

She also has a bad habit of not being consistent with her eating schedule. She'll sometimes only eat once or twice a day, and I keep telling her that she needs to eat consistently at aroud the same times every day at least 3 times a day, but preferably 5-6 times.

  5. I know that there is a separate thread for this, but I know a lot of that thread will be discussing much further into the series than I am at the moment.

I am nine episodes into Boardwalk Empire's first season, and these last few episodes have been rather satisfying now that some pieces are starting to be put into play.

Nucky's slow descent into dread and trusting people he normally wouldn't trust because of his impending dread over losing everything this early into the series run is quite interesting tv.

Also, is there an actor that better does creepy and menacing right now than Michael Shannon?

  6. JR essentially destroying Independent Wrestling in front of Colt in a more long form fashion than he normally does was kind of a surreal thing.

I do not completely disagree with JR on some of his gripes. I think indie wrestling would benefit from learning to tell more stories and work more psychology into their matches; however, most indies today can only generate buzz from "Hey, did you see THAT!?"

  7.

50% for the Ninja Turtles so far from the first six reviews.

Could this turn out to be the next Hercules?

No.  I expect the reviews of Ninja Turtles to be shit, but also expect it to make decent money.

I don't expect it to beat GoTG at the box office this weekend , though.

GoTG might be one of those rare films that does as well its second weekend due to word of mouth.

  8. Okay, I am trying to help my fiance get on an exercise routine/improved diet. (She actually wants to do this now).

She is wanting to find some supplements to use.

Now, I know what I look for and need, but my needs as a more in-shape male and as a male are different than hers.

What would you recommend for someone trying to help his lady? She is maybe even looking to go meal replacement once a day, but I am finding that most of what you find there tends to be pyramid scam stuff like Body by Vi.

  9. Moved from the TV thread since I happened to see this

The Proposition: That is one of the most fucked-up films I've ever seen and fucked-up films are my stock-in-trade. If she can handle it, go for it, because it is also amazing on every other level. If you went in entirely cold you could probably be convinced it's an adaptation of a Cormac McCarthy novel.

It's ironic that Hillcoat's follow up film was an adaptation of a Cormac McCarthy film!

  10. Until there's a true backwards compatibility on PS4 (where all you need to do is download a system update and insert the disc), I won't bother with PlayStation Now. I hate to see how the program will work on games with pulled multiplayer support.

Big Rumor is Backwards Compatibility may come for PSX/PS2 stuff, but I guess PS3 stuff is doubtful.

  11. I wonder how much of TNA's audience reads spoilers. I would guess it's no more than ten or twenty percent of its 1.4 million viewers.

With that said, spoiling the big ending to next week's show is such a TNA thing to do that it's almost perfect that this promotion is well on the outs.

I caught the back half of Aries/Lashley. I thought Lashley did a great job of playing the monster, force to be reckoned with heel. Anytime, Aries would build up hope spots. You would find Lashley cut it off to better than average heel heat.

  12. Friday Night Lights really begins to find itself again towards the back end of Season Two. You just have to get through the melodrama that the Network imposed on them for the first half of season two.

Seasons 3-5 are just wonderful television.

  13. I played the first hour of The Last of Us: Remastered. I have never been good at Survival/Horror games especially ones that limit your ammo. I will say this one is interesting in the first hour because it limits your opportunities to explore and find items as characters keep moving and forcing you along, but I love the intensity as each section feels like you're experiencing (with little "playing involved sadly") a rather lengthy, intense tracking shot.

I may blow through the story on this over the weekend.

  14. Why do I remember Vectorman being on the SNES as a kid (I remember playing it and I never owned a Genesis), but I look it up to recommend it and its sequel to discover that it's not on there.

I honestly do not see many games left to recommend that have not already been suggested.

The only one I have not seen that I recall being really good is Toy Story.  SNES is the only console to have decent movie-based video games. Afterwards, the only two I can think of that I really enjoyed are Goldeneye (obviously) and Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

I know someone is going to point something out that i am obviously forgetting. Such is life.

  15. I've only watched four matches from this tournament thus far, but I think Naito/Styles or Homna/Ishii might be my favorites up until this point.

I did not know that Styles had this kind of heel work in him.

  16.

Says a Complimentary service, who knows what that means, but I suppose I'll find out tomorrow.

It's says complEmentary service, not complimentary.  As in a service that supplements PS+, not one that is free.

Also, I guess you cannot outright BUY a game through the service too, so I guess $20 is to have the game for like 30 days or whatever, which is kind of crappy if you ask me.
