  1. Fultz "shoulder problems" resurfacing the morning after being benched for a recently out of the rotation TJ McConnell is so laughable. Whoever is whispering in his ear clearly went to the Reggie Rose school of sports management. Im not sure he ever plays another game for Philly. I think this might actually be the breaking point.
  2. If he is willing to juggle he might as well try underhanded.
  3. That Sixers game last night was the full Jimmy Butler experience. He was super efficient offensively and fighting through screens to stay on D Mitchell on the defensive end. I'm pretty sure Brett Brown wishes he would switch more ha, but maybe he can talk him into it. Embiid didn't play up to his level last night, but my favorite NBA thing is The Process flexing on somebody after an and 1.
  4. The league is super fun right now. So many interesting teams that there are at least 2 amazing/fresh games every night. Tonight we get Celtics/Raps and Jazz/Sixers . Whew.
  5. Haven't looked it up, but my gut says Milwaukee has taken a few games off of them. I know they broke one of GSW's win streaks during the 73 win year.
  6. Not sure what that 50 point beat down says about the mavs, but tough look for Utah. Luka is going to coast to rookie of the year. A kid that young being so consistent is pretty wild. All that hesitation stuff is unstoppable in the PnR. I still can't believe the Mavs pulled that deal off and I really like Trae Young. The West is somehow even more stacked than we imagined. Kings playing well, Clips playing really well....
  7. Ok so.... that Fultz FT is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. He stopped taking 3s. His shot is clearly regressing. And I'm still not willing to give up on the kid. Can't do it.
  8. Could someone watching these Rockets games tell me what's wrong with Eric Gordon? Is he taking tougher shots? Does he look hobbled? Melo is one of many Houston problems right now. CP and Gordon aren't breaking 40% from the field. Gordon isn't even close.
  9. Fortunately for Philly, Embiid is the clear alpha so the chemistry shouldn't be as awkward. Jimmy won't be dominating any rooms with Embiid in them. Dare I say they have........ 3 Alphas They gave up so little that if it somehow doesn't work out this year they can balk on the re-sign jimmy plan and go after someone else with all that cleared cap space.
  10. Pat must've never put Richardson and a 1st back on the table
  11. What a steal for Philly. No first round picks wow.
  12. The kid at the end of this clip has a bright future. https://twitter.com/nba/status/1061124284414746625?s=21
  13. I think by the time we get there, the last two years of the deal optimistically, his contract will at worst be tradeable and at best a slight bargain. Will be curious to see how he meshes with an actual starting NBA PG though. Wait and see on that one. Hopefully we will get the chance to find out.
  14. I thought that initially, but he has turned me into a believer. Very aggressive getting to the line this year and he can really really score.
  15. Huh. Not sure why I thought it was next season. What are your thoughts on this sixers team? Seem a little thin to me. That Bjelica contract situation stings a little more with the way he is playing. I hope they get in on these Butler talks.
  16. Agree and I'm no hoiberg fan. They knew what they were doing with the Jabari contract. I fully endorse the no defense all offense tank. All these early injuries give them a leg up on the tanking competiton as well. Loving where they are at from a rebuild standpoint. This is the year to trust the process if there ever was one. Draft odds decrease for the worst teams starting next season.
  17. There are 10 legit playoff teams in the West and Dallas is in that 11--13 range with Memphis and the Clips in my opinion. Heading in the right direction. The conference is so loaded that you really don't have to tank much to get a good pick this year. Play hard for most of the season and then give Dirk a 15-game going away tour and they will be set. Unless, of course, a few things break the right way (Butler trade, etc) and Dallas ends up on the fringes of an 8th seed race. At that point I hope they go for it.
  18. The Washington Generals have way more healthy bodies than the Chicago Bulls. Gar Pax going all-in on the tank by overpaying a hometown guy for 1 year is an underrated move. They are SOOOO Bad. Whew I will be happy to be wrong about the Lavine contract if this holds up though. He is looking very good.
  19. Surely you are excited about the Mavs though, right? They are rebuilding without a true multi-year tank in the most stacked conference in NBA history. Doncic, a 19-year-old, is averaging 20.4/6.4/4 on 46% and 38.8% from three. One of my favorite teams to watch in the league right now. What's not to love?
  20. Problem with this line of thought, and where the Nets' comparison ends, is that Houston also has one of the best GMs in the league and an organization willing to pay the tax to win. They've had a grand total of 1 losing season since YAO was drafted... Id says it's much more likely that those picks are in the 20s than top 5. And that's before even considering the protections Morey is surely asking for on those later picks
  21. It's about time CP received some comeuppance. That Rondo of all people was the one to do it makes it even better. My suspension severity power rankings: 1. Ingram -- Started the whole thing. Sucker punch. 2. Paul -- what sort of asshole pokes someone in the eye with 4 fingers? 3. Rondo -- At that point you have to hit him, right? Nice left hook.
  22. Jokic just put together one of the best stat lines I've ever seen. 35 11 12 4 1 on 11/11 from the field! Welcome to the league DeAndre Ayton.
  23. Prediction: The Lakers will be actually good and the 4 seed in the West (behind GS, HOU, Utah). Lonzo/Hart/Ingram/Kuzma is a legit young core.
  24. Joe Ingles is a stud and I will hear no more slander! I was sold last year during the playoffs when he put the beat down on PG while acting like a goon. Seriously though, Ingles is legit baller. He had a better 3p% than both Curry and KD last year.
